The second Penn swimmer to come forward was at the University of Akron Zippy Invitational where she watched Lia Thomas beat fellow teammate Anna Kalandadze by 38 seconds in the 1650 freestyle. OutKick’s source described Penn swimmers on the Akron pool deck as upset and crying, knowing they were going to be demolished by Thomas.

“They feel so discouraged because no matter how much work they put in it, they’re going to lose. Usually, they can get behind the blocks and know they out-trained all their competitors and they’re going to win and give it all they’ve got,” the source said.

“Now they’re having to go behind the blocks knowing no matter what, they do not have the chance to win. I think that it’s really getting to everyone.”

After just five meets and the Akron Invitational, Thomas has not just destroyed opponents. The Penn freestyle records are being rewritten by a swimmer who was second-team All-Ivy league in 2018-19 — as a male.

OutKick’s source said that after the 200 freestyle, Thomas could be overheard bragging.

“That was so easy, I was cruising,” Lia Thomas allegedly said.

According to OutKick’s source, Thomas was unhappy with her time after the 500 race, but while standing in front of teammates, made sure to mention, “At least I’m still No. 1 in the country.”

“Well, obviously she’s No. 1 in the country because she’s at a clear physical advantage after having gone through male puberty and getting to train with testosterone for years,” OutKick’s source said. “Of course you’re No. 1 in the country when you’re beating a bunch of females. That’s not something to brag about.”

A 22-year-old transgender swimmer at the University of Pennsylvania continued her dominant performance this season — setting numerous pool, meet and program records at a three-day event in Ohio last weekend.

Lia Thomas blew away her competition Friday night in the 500-yard freestyle preliminaries and finals at the Zippy Invitational at the University of Akron, according to results posted by the school.

In the finals, Thomas notched a winning time of 4:34.06 — good enough for a new Ivy League record.

The swimmer continued smashing records on Saturday with a nearly 7-second victory in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:41.93 — representing the fastest finish in the country, the school said.

Over the weekend, Thomas also set a new program, meet and pool record in the 1650-yard freestyle. She finished that race in 15:59.71 — more than 38 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher, teammate Anna Kalandadze

I’ve always suspected that Lia was not entirely supported by her teammates, and I was correct.

Thomas’ participation in women’s athletics has drawn the ire of many who see Thomas’ massive victories as unfair. As reported by OutKick, this includes one of Thomas’ female teammates.

According to OutKick, the teammate fears that she will not be able to find employment after college if she shares her honest opinion, choosing instead to remain anonymous as she revealed friction within the team due to Thomas’ presence.

“Pretty much everyone individually has spoken to our coaches about not liking this. Our coach [Mike Schnur] just really likes winning. He’s like most coaches. I think secretly everyone just knows it’s the wrong thing to do,” the female Penn swimmer said during a phone interview.

“When the whole team is together, we have to be like, ‘Oh my gosh, go Lia, that’s great, you’re amazing.’ It’s very fake,” she added.

Sure, no one wants to look like they’re intolerant. But these girls compete to win. They don’t want to lose to someone who is cheating, who has an unfair advantage. Even if that person is on their own team.

All of you supporters of this, what will you say when the 2024 Olympics rolls around and some Communist country bring an entire “women’s team” full of “transgendered females” and they dominate every single sport? While our American women athletes get Silvers and Bronze medals.

Maybe not in 2024, but this isn’t decades away. It’s going to happen. Soon.

“The Ivy League is not a fast league for swimming, so that’s why it’s particularly ridiculous that we could potentially have an NCAA champion. That’s unheard of coming from the Ivy League,” Thomas’ teammate explained.

“On paper, if Lia Thomas gets back down to Will Thomas’ best times, those numbers are female world records. Faster than all the times Katie Ledecky went in college. Faster than any other Olympian you can think of. His times in three events are [female] world records.”

In November, a University of Pennsylvania swimmer who swam for the men’s team for the previous three years swam for the women’s team, dominating the competition.

Lia Thomas formerly used the name Will Thomas. Swim Swam reported on November 20 that Thomas “blasted the number one 200 free time and the second-fastest 500 free time in the nation on Saturday, breaking Penn program records in both events.” Thomas “swept the 100-200-500 free individual events and contributed to the first-place 400 free relay in a tri-meet against Princeton and Cornell,” the outlet reported.

But wait, there’s more.

Earlier in November, Swim Swam reported that at the competition between Columbia women’s swimming and diving team and Penn’s, Thomas “took home a pair of gold medals in the 200 free and 100 free with margins of 5.4 seconds and 1.3 seconds. … Thomas, who swam as Will Thomas on the Quakers’ men’s team as a freshman, sophomore, and junior, took the 2020-21 season off and is swimming with the women’s team as a senior this season.”

Let’s imagine this for a whole team. Take a top 30-ish men’s college basketball team. Probably not much of a chance of winning the national title. Now let them all declare to be trans at the same time. Think they wouldn’t be huge favorites in every single game as a women’s team?

The International Olympic Committee recommended that sports organizations allow biologically male, transgender athletes to compete in women’s sports without lowering their testosterone levels.

The committee stated that no athlete should be excluded from competition based on unverified, alleged, or perceived unfair competitive advantage due to biological sex in a Tuesday report. The report says athletes should compete in sports based on their self-determined gender identity and should not be subject to “targeted testing” to determine biological sex.

If you’re a male athlete who desperately wants to compete in the Olympics, but you’re just not quite good enough, declare yourself trans, enter the women’s events. The gold medal is yours.

“Athletes should not be deemed to have an unfair or disproportionate competitive advantage due to their sex variations, physical appearance and/or transgender status,” the report said.

But they do, and to deny that is to deny reality. You can’t change truth because of your beliefs. Women’s sports will suffer horribly for this. And it’s not even a matter of time. They’re already suffering, and it’s going to get dramatically worse quickly.

Texas Governor Abbott signed a bill into law on Monday banning transgender girls from competing in female sports at public schools. Several other states across the country have already signed similar laws. The law is set to go into effect on January 18, 2022.

Those who support the bill say that the purpose is to create fairness in school sports due to the inherent physical advantage that transgender women have when playing on female teams. Equal rights advocates say it is discrimination and hate-driven claiming that transgender women have no advantage despite the fact they were born as a male.

Allowing biological males to compete in female sports will destroy female sports. I understand the desires of transgenders to compete, and I admit that I don’t know how to help them. I do know that letting them compete against girls & women is the wrong answer. It will set women’s athletics back 50 years.
