I've been informed that Google has NEVER done anything for Memorial Day aside from the pin at the bottom. I'm guessing there's just more outrage this year because of the turmoil in our country.
I believe that's true. I've noted it in the past. They used to have a link where you could go look at all their past logo changes. I'll see if I can dig it up.
I'm not sure if there's more outrage this year or not. I've given up on outrage, especially at Google, a long time ago. I just don't go to the site.
However, I still use my Android phone. Gmail hosts my family's mail, and Blogger hosts my blog. So, I'm a bit of a hypocrite.
Eventually, at least two of those will change, but not today.
