Stopped Clock. Twice a Day.
Even Rose McGowan understands the idiocy of the second impeachment. Really, the only reason we’re going through it is because Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA-12) is a horrible, horrible person.
This is Something I’ve Done for Ages
"High-level editors at The New York Post instructed staff members this week not to use reporting from CNN, MSNBC, The Times and The Washington Post as the sole basis for any Post article, the three journalists said, speaking on the condition of anonymity for fear of retaliation," wrote media reporter Katie Robertson.

Mailchimp Boots Gun-Rights Group - Washington Free Beacon
Mailchimp blocked Virginia's top gun-rights group from sending newsletters through its service for unspecified reasons.
The Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) announced Wednesday night that its account with the leading mass-distribution service had been suspended. The tech giant failed to provide any reason for the decision. The blackout has left the group scrambling to find an alternative.
And Politico is in hot water for daring to publish an editorial written by a conservative!

The Media is Actively Running the Social Media Purge of Conservatives | Frontpagemag
Telegram and Signal are built around privacy. The media wasn't objecting to the widespread use of Telegram by Islamic terrorists. Much like Apple had a very different policy on unlocking the iPhone of the San Bernardino terrorists than it did on purging Trump supporters after the election.
The Forbes hit piece on Telegram and Signal notes that the latter was used by BLM rioters. Not a problem. It's only a problem when conservatives use it.
What that really says, without having the honesty to say it, is that the lefty media's goal is to eliminate open platforms and replace them with closed platforms that protect and promote abusive behavior by lefties, while cracking down on any conservative speech.
The media is at war with the First Amendment. It's at war with the internet. It's at war with freedom.
Facebook Bans Company from Advertising Their Patriotic Gear (lifezette.com)
LeAnn Miller, business owner of the company PatrioticMe (scary name), had her Facebook advertising account shut down by the social media overlords and it has cost her 94% of her traffic.
According to her interview in The Blaze, her company was started in 2019 and launched on September 11, 2020 to honor the heroic American first responders of the terrorist attacks.
A portion of her sales is donated to Tunnel to Towers Foundation which is a charity that provides mortgage-free smart homes to Gold Star Families with surviving family members and veterans or first responders with catastrophic injuries suffered in the line of duty.
Kassam Suspended From Twitter for Tweeting the Time - The National Pulse
Kassam’s January 14th tweet regarding the inauguration of Joe Biden – which simply established the time that Biden’s “victory” was established on election night and the time the election was certified – prompted the suspension.
“They intended to “inaugurate” a President to an empty National Mall, surrounded by 20,000 troops, after a “victory” claimed in the dead of night, and a certification of electors in the dead of night. #DemocracyDiesInDarkness,” he tweeted.

Nikki Haley is Clearly Running for President in 2024
Stand for America PAC – a separate entity from Haley’s "Stand for America" advocacy group – describes itself as "laser-focused on the 2022 midterms and electing a conservative force to the House of Representatives and U.S. Senate to counter the liberal agendas of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi."
Separately, a release declares it will support conservative candidates who will "defend America’s founding principles: freedom; opportunity for all; free speech; limited government; capitalism; the rule of law; and a strong national defense."
If this turns out well, all the right people will owe her and want to be on her side after the mid-terms.
I like her. I know she has made some enemies from the more rabid Trump supporters for not falling fully in line with him after the election, but right now my preferred candidates list for 2024 begins and ends with her.
Despite All Evidence to the Contrary
“I think what we have seen here is when I began in the Republican Party officially, the Republican Party was the party of inclusion,” she said. “It was the party of generosity. It was the party of country first. We have lost our way.”
I don’t see how you can reconcile that view with, err, reality.
Trump Hits 60-Year High Among Minority Voters | Newsmax.com
President Donald Trump’s performance in the 2020 election was the best a Republican presidential candidate has done among minority voters in 60 years, according to NBC News’ exit polling.
NBC found that Trump won 26% of the vote among non-white voters, the highest since Richard Nixon’s unsuccessful campaign against John F. Kennedy in 1960. Trump won 21% of the minority vote in 2016.
In 2020, Trump won:
- 57% of white voters.
- 12% of Black voters.
- 32% of Hispanic and Latino voters.
- 31% of Asian voters.
- 40% of other voters.
What cost Trump the election was that he did exceptionally poorly with white males and suburban whites of any gender. Hardly fitting for a candidate representing “white supremacy” nor for a candidate that’s not sending an inclusive message.
I submit to Cindy McCain that it’s her vision of the party that is not the inclusive one. Maybe she should think about that.

The “Top Hat” is worn in public for the first time.
Apparently, it caused quite a stir.
[T]he man who gave it a head start into fame and fashion was haberdasher John Hetherington who, on this day, appeared in court after he had stepped out onto the streets of London wearing the distinctive headgear. It caused a sensation.
So much so that a crowd formed and Hetherington was eventually arrested and given a summons for disturbing the public peace. In court, found guilty of wearing a hat “calculated to frighten timid people”, he was bound over to keep the peace in consideration of a sum of 50 pounds.
The arresting officer told the court that nobody had seen anything like it before: “He had such a tall and shiny construction on his head that it must have terrified nervous people. The sight of this construction was so overstated that various women fainted, children began to cry and dogs started to bark. One child broke his arm among all the jostling.”
It Can Happen to You
1) A couple of hours ago, I tweeted out that this tweet referred to me. Shortly after, I deleted that tweet. After much introspection, and talking with friends and family, I feel obligated to reveal why I deleted it. https://t.co/fQ4FRgY7qM
— Dawson Buchanan (@dawsonbuchanan_) January 13, 2021
2) After identifying myself as the subject of the thread, @Fly_PJS reached out to me, threatening to take legal action and publicly defame me if I didn’t delete the tweet. Intimidated and nervous, I immediately deleted it.
— Dawson Buchanan (@dawsonbuchanan_) January 13, 2021
3) But after thinking about it, and discussing my rights of free speech with advisors, I will not be bullied into silence. I’m now going to raise my voice louder.
— Dawson Buchanan (@dawsonbuchanan_) January 13, 2021
4) In early January, PJS hired me to be a concierge for a contract they had with the @NHL team, @Canes. Having worked with PJS as an operations associate for Trump Campaign HQ, I eagerly accepted the position-excited to join a company I had developed a personal relationship with.
— Dawson Buchanan (@dawsonbuchanan_) January 13, 2021
5) After receiving a laptop, establishing a work email, and even purchasing additional work clothes, I prepared to travel to Raleigh, NC today for training. Yesterday evening, around 7 PM, PJS called and fired me without explanation.
— Dawson Buchanan (@dawsonbuchanan_) January 13, 2021
6) I was devastated. I had gone from being employed to unemployed in a matter of seconds, and I hadn’t done anything wrong.
— Dawson Buchanan (@dawsonbuchanan_) January 13, 2021
7) I called the owner of PJS and asked for any explanation, and he told me very bluntly: the @NHL found out I worked for the Trump campaign and threatened to cancel the contract with PJS unless they fired me.
— Dawson Buchanan (@dawsonbuchanan_) January 13, 2021
8) Instead of standing up for me, instead of explaining to the NHL that I, as a person, am not solely defined by my previous work on the Trump campaign, they fired me for their own company’s financial gain.
— Dawson Buchanan (@dawsonbuchanan_) January 13, 2021
9) I was upset and disappointed, but I didn’t initially blame them for this decision. I wish they had stood up for me...they didn’t. I didn’t have any animosity towards PJS, until they tried to bully me into silence.
— Dawson Buchanan (@dawsonbuchanan_) January 13, 2021
10) So now I’m sharing the story, in its entirety. Even though the owner told me this afternoon that he would deny everything I say if this went any further. But this is the truth, and I feel more empowered and supported if I share it with all of you.
— Dawson Buchanan (@dawsonbuchanan_) January 13, 2021
11) I can’t begin to thank all of the people who helped me through this, and have reached out to me on Twitter, LinkedIn, and by email to help. Thank you all so much! I look forward to continuing to voice the truth so this never happens to a conservative again.
— Dawson Buchanan (@dawsonbuchanan_) January 13, 2021
As I keep saying, this is not about Trump. This is about the left intimidating people into silence. This is about making it so that only candidates and politicians with acceptable points of view are tolerated and will be allowed to campaign, seek donations, etc. Right now “acceptable” means to the left of Trump, but that bar will continue to move farther and farther left, until all right-leaning views are deemed intolerable.
This is what you get when you give liberals power.

But don’t worry. I’m sure it will all be fair, even-handed, and transparent.

Leftists Really Hate America
John Hindraker over at Power Line Blog details the new standards for K-12 Social Studies being proposed in Minnesota.
Highlights:
Here are some of the things that will no longer be covered in the public school curriculum:
* World War I
* World War II
* The Holocaust
* The Civil War
* The American Revolution
* Communism
* Notable Americans like George Washington and Thomas JeffersonYou may ask, what in God’s name do the standards cover? The usual:
* Systemic racism in the U.S., rooted in our founding
* How freedom and democracy have included or excluded certain groups throughout our history
* Developing a “respectful awareness” of the LGBTQ+ community
* The Reconstruction period, specifically successful efforts to disenfranchise newly freed Black Americans and connecting this history to persistent discrimination and inequity in the present
* An analysis of the ideology of Manifest Destiny and its relationship to whiteness, Christianity, and capitalism
Concerns raised by Minnesota citizens over this proposal have been dismissed as “white supremacy”.

Gaslighting is the Democrats New Big Thing
I don’t really have much to add to this. I just want it documented for later.
TRUMP’S SPEECH WAS NOT INCITEMENT TO IMMINENT LAWLESS ACTION. Not if words and precedent have any meaning. You don’t need to be a lawyer to figure this out – read it for yourself. The entire media and political apparatus (apparently including the interim dean of Cornell Law School) is determined to gaslight you into believing it was. But you are not the crazy one.
This is Why It is Such a Joke to Shut Down Parler
Well, “joke” is probably the wrong word, since it’s not funny at all.
Parler doesn’t even have groups, which really facilitate organizing things. You know who has groups? Facebook.
A growing body of evidence shows Facebook played a much larger role than Sandberg suggested.
The #StopTheSteal hashtag was widely used on the service until Monday, when a search on Facebook reported that 128,000 people were talking about it and in many cases using it to coordinate for the rally, according to Eric Feinberg, a vice president with the Coalition for a Safer Web.
Parler did nothing wrong.
And It’s Only Going to Get Worse

"[Biden] has the job now of trying to unify things. One way you could do it is if you could call off the impeachment dogs, but it may be too late for that."
After the Last 4 Years, I Have No Problem with This
The Democrats have made it plain that you can impeach a President for anything. So, I say go for it. Furthermore, if the GOP takes back the House in 2022, I think presenting Articles of Impeachment should be their first order of business as the majority.
What for? Don’t care. Impeach him for pulling the tail of his dog.
This Has Nothing to Do with Trump

Or this: WATCH: AIG Drops Curt Schilling For Nothing More Than Supporting President Trump (lifezette.com)
Or even this: Former Trump Campaign Staffer Says He Was Fired from New Job Because He Worked for Trump by Julio Rosas (townhall.com)
If you think these things will stop with Trump, you’re delusional.
This is all about scaring people now from working on or with Republican campaigns in 2022 and 2024. If they can’t get people and money, they can’t win.
And if you think I’m paranoid and that won’t happen, you’re wrong. It has happened already. Remember Lois Lerner and her IRS goons going after the Tea Party. That was way before Trump and the Tea Party was “well-behaved”. But they were in the way and needed to be removed.
That was the first step. What you’re seeing now is the second step. It won’t end here.
This is all about turning the current Democratic majority into a permanent one. They want a one party state. And if you cross the Party, they will make you pay.
80 million of you voted for this. Congratulations.

It is truly liberating blogging again. I was posting much more frequently on FB than I ever did on this blog, but I was still self-censoring. Not anymore. You’re getting the plain unvarnished truth as I see it.
This will be my 50th blog post in 5 days. That already puts this month in my top 10 for most posts in a month, and there’s still 18 days left in the month.

So, this is Your Idea of Unity
I’m thinking that if you’re the incoming majority party and you’re emphasizing unity after a very divisive period, you don’t make your first action a pointless impeachment of the outgoing President.
That’s what I’m thinking anyway.
My next thought is you can take your idea of unity and shove it. I’m going to oppose everything you suggest over the next two years. I don’t care if it’s a program to get puppies to orphans and it won’t cost the taxpayers a dime. I’m opposed to it on principle.
Trump Takes His DeLorean Up to 88 MPH to Incite Crowd to Riot
President Trump’s speech didn’t conclude until 1:11pm, and with at least a 45-minute walk between the two locations with crowd-related delays, that would put the first people from Trump’s speech at Capitol Hill no earlier than 1:56pm – a full hour and sixteen minutes after troublemakers arrived.
In fact, rioters who breached the perimeter would have had to leave before Trump’s speech even began (at 12pm precisely) to make it in time for the events as they are detailed by authorities.

Why I can’t Get Exorcised About Last Week’s Riot in D.C.
I would be appalled if only the people telling me to be appalled were appalled last summer when I was.
During the riots that followed George Floyd’s death, the death toll was at least thirty as of early August, including two DHS officers, one fatally shot execution-style. Retired law enforcement officer David Dorn was also murdered trying to help a friend secure his business during riots in St. Louis, Missouri. One was an 8-year-old, Secoriea Turner, who was shot in Atlanta when her mother was trying to drive away from the chaos. More than 700 local, state, and federal officers were injured nationwide, many of them seriously.
According to the DHS, 150 federal buildings were damaged, and countless businesses, small and large, were destroyed. Black and minority-owned businesses were hit hardest, with an estimated $2 billion in insurance damage alone. That doesn’t consider the long-term damage in these communities. Areas of Los Angeles have still not recovered from the Rodney King riots in 1992.
During the entire summer, leading Democrats excused, endorsed, ignored, or justified the violence. A Media Research Center analysis found that 99.3% of broadcast media coverage ignored the murder victims.

What’s got Israelis all across the political spectrum frustrated is the fact that the Jewish state has for years been pressing Facebook and Twitter to ban incitement to violence against Israel from the likes of Iran, Palestinian terror groups and others. But the response has always been that freedom of speech must be protected.

In Fact, I Never Really Used Parler
I signed up for it almost two years ago, but I spent more time on it this weekend than I had total up to this point.
Why? It’s just Twitter, redone. And I don’t like Twitter. It’s a time sink. Nothing useful comes out of it.
Perhaps I am being too harsh on Parler. Time will tell, I guess.
No, it’s not so much Parler I’m defending as it is freedom of speech. I find the attacks on free speech that we’ve seen so far in 2021 to be terrifying. Maybe I’m being Chicken Little. I hope so. But I fear not.
Free speech and the ability to express political ideas is a societal pressure-relief valve. That relief valve is being slammed shut, and the consequences are entirely predictable, particularly combined with organized efforts to get Trump supporters fired and made unemployable.
Democrats and their tech oligopoly friends are drunk with internet power, and feel all-powerful. If history shows us anything, it is that those who seek to repress free expression inevitably increase the repression, and the people repressed find a way to push back. In China, The Communist Party has increased repression through internet control and deplatforming dissenting voices through extensive social media monitoring. It can happen here, and it is. Tech oligopolies have learned well from the Chinese Communist Party.
Parler is the canary in the coal mine. Whether it surives or not, internet repression by tech oligopolies is making the national atmosphere more toxic by the day.
I think that’s very right.
Everyone Thinks They Have Something Unique To Say
But really, it’s all been said.
Back when I was really making an effort on this blog, I would write out lots of long, well thought out posts. And I am sure that I will do some of that still.
But, I really didn’t add all that much to the discourse. One, hardly anyone read my blog. Probably now, no one does. And two, as I said above, it’s all been said before.
No, this blog is most effective for me as a memory tool. And I think I will continue to use it as such. That means shorter posts, more links.

Trump’s Incitement to Violence
I don’t know about you, but I find it odd that despite all the claims that President Trump (R-USA) incited violence last week, I haven’t actually seen or heard any quotes of him doing that.
So, I saved you the trouble and looked them up myself. What I found is simply amazing.
- You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about.
- You get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. You tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.
- Go to the Hill today. Please, get up in the face of some congresspeople.
- If there is some collateral damage for some others who do not share our view, well, so be it.
- When they go low, we kick them.
- What we’ve got to do is fight in Congress, fight in the courts, fight in the streets.
- I want to be very clear we’re not asking you for patience. And we’re not asking you for pacifism.
- Everyone beware. They’re not gonna stop before election day in November, and they’re not gonna stop after election day. They’re not gonna let up and they should not.
- There needs to be unrest in the streets.
Wow, that’s quite a laundry list. I had no idea.
Oh wait. These things were said by Democrats.
- Hillary Clinton (D)
- Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA-43)
- Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ)
- Eric Holder (D)
- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA-12)
- Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA)
- Mayor Melvin Carter (D-MN-Saint Paul)
- Soon-to-be Vice President Kamala Harris (D-USA)
- Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA-7)

Concerns Regarding Parler
I’ve read a number of disturbing reports from lefties that Parler does the same sorts of things to them that Twitter does to conservatives, bans for no apparent reason, etc. All of the evidence is anecdotal, but it’s anecdotal for Twitter too.
I hope it’s not true. I don’t want it to be true. I don’t want something that’s the opposite of Twitter. I want something that is better than Twitter.
Will continue to follow up on this.
