We Used to Say “Never Again” and “Never Forget” About this Sort of Thing

Now we say, “different cultural norms”. Have I mentioned that I hate this man?

I think that Nazi comparisons are way over-used, but here we see China military literally loading Uyghurs into trains and sending them away. And we see the President of the United States not caring.

I am truly appalled at what my country has become.

Clearly, the Left has Decided that DeSantis is a Threat and Must be Stopped

And yet, it is. NBC is truly criticizing DeSantis for prioritizing the groups most likely to suffer the most from the China Virus.

If this and my last couple of posts don’t convince you that we have descended into an Orwellian nightmare, then I am afraid that nothing will.

Cuomo and the Big Lie

Cuomo Revelations Should Embarrass His Once Gushing Media (dailysignal.com)

Embarrassment would require the ability to feel shame.

Entertainment Weekly overflowed with praise, saying, “The hero that America never realized it needed until he was on our television screens every night … has taken his talents to the page.” (It added on its website, “One can only assume a sequel is expected once the pandemic is actually over.”)

In November, he was given an Emmy for his “masterful use of television” during the pandemic. Celebrities were brought in to pay gushing tribute.

In November, he was given an Emmy for his “masterful use of television” during the pandemic. Celebrities were brought in to pay gushing tribute.

Well, as I said previously, an Emmy is for acting, right? He is certainly a great actor.

But the reality is this:

On Feb. 12, the New York Post reported that top Cuomo aide Melissa DeRosa admitted to lawmakers on a private call that the team underreported the number of patients placed in nursing homes by 40%. “[W]e froze,” she said. “We weren’t sure if … what we start saying was going to be used against us.”

But he’ll likely survive this. He’s a Democrat, and the left-wing propaganda machine will continue to cover for him.

Biden and the Big Lie

NEO does an incredible job in this post.

Biden and the Big COVID Lie – The New Neo

I’m going to try to excerpt just a bit, and not the entire thing, but you really should read it.

You may wonder how it is that Biden (or those handling him) thinks he can get away with a lie such as this one:

Joe Biden is at it again with yet another lie about the vaccination plan, claiming President Donald Trump didn’t have a plan, despite the demonstrable fact that Trump was getting about a million people vaccinated a day by the time that Biden came in…

There obviously was a plan. Trump’s admin was distributing almost a million per day. His last day in office, 1.2 million vaccines were distributed. Biden has yet to have a week that averaged better than 1.2 million per day, as far as I can tell.

NEO brings up another one that I have worked to make friends and relatives understand over the last year also, to no avail.

In vain I would point out certain facts – for example, I’d ask them when they thought Trump had appointed the Task Force on COVID. No one ever got it right, and they had trouble believing me when I told them that Trump had announced its formation quite early – on January 29, 2020 – and that Fauci and Birx were already onboard at that time.

But even learning that, or any other fact about what Trump had done early on to fight the disease, didn’t really change much in their minds. That’s because the media was relentlessly pushing another story, and to open oneself to the possibility that the media was lying was just a bridge too far and would require too great a reorganization of reality.

I would get infuriated when people would ridiculously claim that Trump was slow to respond to the virus. He started moving far before anyone on the left. The media was ridiculing him at the time saying that he was blowing it way out of proportion. Once that clearly became false, they just switched the narrative entirely and gaslighted the nation. I still get ticked when I think about this.

Read the whole thing.

And while you’re at it, read this:

FACT CHECK? Kamala Lies to Axios with 'Start from Scratch' Vaccine Claim that Fauci Debunked | Newsbusters

And this too:

Exposed: The Media Has Been Lying About The Capitol Protests – Issues & Insights

Highlights:

The “fact” that five people were killed is false. Only one person is known to have been killed inside the building. She was a protester who was shot at close range by a police officer. (Had she been a minority, there would have been riots in the streets over police brutality.)

But what about Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick, who was, we’ve been told repeatedly, killed by a protester who threw a fire extinguisher at him?

There’s other evidence to show that the media had it all wrong. ProPublica reports that Sicknick texted his family Wednesday night to say that “he had been pepper-sprayed” (he didn’t say by whom) and “was in good spirits.” CNN later admitted that investigators have been “vexed by a lack of evidence that could prove someone caused his death.” More tellingly, a Capitol Police statement said Sicknick returned to his office after the melee and only later went to the hospital. So what caused his death? Nobody knows, but it clearly wasn’t caused by a hell-bent Trump mob.

The “armed insurrection”? There’s been no evidence that anyone carried firearms into the Capitol, except the police.

Again, read the whole thing.

And don’t forget, the Charlottesville Lie, which has been repeated by Biden many times.

DeSantis Makes Move To Honor Rush Limbaugh, Democrats Spaz Out | The Daily Wire

Democrats lashed out after Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Friday that the passing of conservative talk show host and Palm Beach resident Rush Limbaugh would be honored in the state by ordering flags to be flown at half-staff.

DeSantis similarly ordered flags to be flown at half-staff following the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a liberal, in September, the Times noted. Flags were also ordered lowered following the breach on the U.S. Capitol in January

Democrat response? Typical.

Democratic Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Shultz, who formerly served as chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) “called the decision an ‘an embarrassment to Florida,'” according to Business Insider.

Democratic Florida Rep. Ted Deutch reacted to DeSantis’ announcement about Limbaugh by calling it “disgusting” and “embarrassing.”

Seriously. Stop preaching to me about tolerance and unity. I know you don’t believe it. And I’m tired of getting lectured to by complete hypocrites.

DHS: The Biggest Terror Threat Is 'Right-Wing Extremists' – PJ Media

In yet another story purporting to confirm the left’s view of the world, Jana Winter reported in Yahoo News Friday that “the U.S. government is acknowledging for the first time that right-wing extremists were responsible for the majority of fatal domestic terrorist attacks last year, according to an internal report circulated by the Department of Homeland Security last week.”

I can’t think of a single fatal domestic right-wing terrorist attack in 2020 that made the news. In fact, I can’t think of a single non-fatal one that made the news.

Unless, of course, you think Antifa and BLM are right-wing. I remember lots of terrorist incidents from the two of them, both fatal and non-fatal.

Also conspicuously lacking in this report were definitions of the key terms. What does the government define as “right-wing”? What do they classify as “left-wing”? What do they define as a “terrorist attack”? The Joint Regional Intelligence Center report defines “terrorist incidents” as “violence motivated by political or religious conviction,” but offers no definitions of the other terms.

It does, however, attempt to excuse “left-wing” violence, claiming that that there was a “rarity of left-wing extremist attacks[.]”

A “rarity of left-wing extremist attacks”. I must have dreamed the riots that went on all last summer. I guess they didn’t happen. I guess Antifa didn’t take over a block in Portland.

This is very frightening. The government wants to make it illegal to be a conservative.

Joe Biden—Man of the People

Biden Signs Major Executive Order That Puts An End To Trump's Industry Apprenticeship Program (lifezette.com)

President Joe Biden just signed an executive order that revokes an order made by Donald Trump in which the former president gave federal funds to apprenticeship programs that are created by industries, calling for more government-controlled alternatives.

Trump signed Executive Order 13801, Industry-Recognized Apprenticeship Programs (IRAPs),  back in 2017. This order made it possible for “trade and industry groups, companies, non-profit organizations, unions, and joint labor-management organizations” to create their own apprenticeship programs that would be used to help workers develop the skills that the economy needed but that universities are either not providing, or are providing at a cost that is unaffordable for many Americans.

I can’t think of a single good reason to do this. President Trump’s (R-USA) executive order provided true assistance to working class Americans at almost no cost to the government. I can understand if you think more needs to be done, but why would you rescind what’s already in effect, and not just expand on it?

There are no good reasons. So, I’m left to speculate on bad ones. There are lots of those.

Cruz vs. Cuomo

This week Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) took his daughters on a trip to Cancun in the midst of a winter freeze in his home state of Texas.

Meanwhile, Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) battled accusations that he covered up the deaths of thousands in NY nursing homes.

One was a small family trip that led to the suffering of…well, no one really.

The other was about the deaths of thousands.

Easy to decide which should get more coverage, right?

Yeah, about that.

‘Jaw-Dropping’: Comedian Mocks Massive Media Coverage Gap Between Cruz And Cuomo | The Daily Caller

Cuomo received 55 seconds to Cruz’s 3:15 on ABC’s “World News Tonight,” and “NBC Nightly News” gave 1:30 to Cuomo and two full minutes to Cruz. CNN devoted 2:42 to covering Cuomo, but spent ten times that — 25:31 — talking about Cruz. MSNBC made no mention of Cuomo, but gave over 20 minutes of coverage to Cruz. Only the “CBS Evening News” gave Cuomo (1:45) more coverage than Cruz (45 seconds).

That’s 6:52 spent covering Cuomo, and 51:31 for Cruz.

That seems about right.

Biden Suggests Some Minorities Do Not ‘Know How To Get Online To Determine How’ To Get Vaccinated | The Daily Wire

President Joe Biden suggested during a CNN town hall event this week that some minorities do not know how to “get online to determine” what they needed to do to get a vaccine for COVID-19.

Biden made the remark in response to a question from a member of the medical community that attended the event and told Biden that the pandemic has had a “significant impact on black Americans” in terms of exacerbating “racial disparities in healthcare” as “less than three percent of blacks and less than five percent of Hispanics” have been vaccinated so far.

If it were true, though, wouldn’t that mean that these same families would be having trouble getting online for their classes? And that we desperately need to open schools up if we want to help these minorities?

Joe?

McConnell ‘laughed’ at Trump’s blistering attack and plans to ignore former president from now on (yahoo.com)

“Mitch McConnell actually laughed about Donald Trump’s statement when he first saw this,” said CNN’s congressional correspondent Manu Raju, citing sources. “Mitch McConnell has no plans to respond. In fact, I’m told by multiple sources that he plans to ignore Donald Trump altogether as he tries to navigate the post-Trump era.”

Not well, it appears at first glance.

Poll: Most Republicans Back Trump, Unfavorable Towards McConnell | Newsmax.com

Former President Donald Trump’s approval rating among Republicans remains very high following his acquittal in his second impeachment trial, while Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has seen his support fall in the latest poll from The Economist and YouGov.

Trump holds almost universal support among members of the GOP, while McConnell is disliked by about half of registered Republicans.

  • 87% view Trump favorably.
  • 12% view Trump unfavorably.
  • 36% view McConnell favorably.
  • 51% view McConnell unfavorably.

Maybe things will improve. After all, it’s always easy for the minority party in opposition to the President to accomplish lots of things that encourage people to vote for them.

Ahem. Yes.

Trump has fundamentally changed the Republican Party. People like Mitch McConnell represent the old version. They want to change it back. Personally, I don’t think it will be successful. Moreover, i don’t see how that’s a recipe for winning elections, even if it succeeds. Does Mitch want to advance conservatism or does he want to be the Minority Leader in the Senate until he retires? He should consider that.

I Don’t Agree with Racists, White Supremacists, Anti-Semites

But you do, Don Lemon.

“The Republican Party can no longer say that they don’t agree with the insurrectionists, with the bigots, with the racists, with the white supremacists, with the anti-Semites, because that’s what they have clearly shown through. Their actions, especially over the last five years.”

When the Democratic Party disowns all of their prominent anti-Semites, race baiters, and race hustlers, many of whom you have interviewed, than you can come yell at the GOP. Until then, you can kindly shut up.

The Democratic party is a cesspool of racism and anti-Semitism. In certain areas of the country, those are prerequisites to career advancement. You know that as well as I do, Don. So, start calling them out, otherwise you’re just another pathetic hypocrite with a microphone.

Well…Yeah, We Do, Actually

Governor Kristi Noem (R-SD) pretty much nails why I left the Republican Party.

SD Gov. Kristi Noem Said Americans Want A Republican Party 'That Actually Follows Through On What They Say They're Going To Do' (lifezette.com)

South Dakota’s Republican Governor Kristi Noem went on Fox News on Tuesday night to discuss what many see as divisions within the Republican Party.

Noem said that in order to find success moving forward, the Republican Party must actually follow through on promises, something she says they’ve failed to do at times in the past. One such promise that Noem believes the GOP went back on was the pledge to repeal the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.

“I think what people want is a Republican Party that actually follows through on what they say they’re going to do, that actually puts forward and enacts the policies that we say we believe in,” Noem said. “We talked for years about doing health care reform, repealing Obamacare, and we haven’t done it. We’ve talked about doing immigration reform, making sure that we’re welcoming people legally to this country, and we haven’t done it.”

And this is why many liked President Donald Trump (R-USA). He did what he said. Yes, he failed on Obamacare, because petty Senator John McCain (R-AZ) couldn’t give Trump a win. It was more important to stop Trump than to help America.

This is a problem with Democrats too.

In my life I don’t know how many times I have been told to “under-promise & over-deliver”. Politics is literally the only field where it pays to do the opposite. Keep over-promising and under-delivering and you can stay in politics your entire life.

The difference between Republican voters and Democrat voters is that Republican voters have gotten sick of that. I get the feeing that Democrat voters are reaching that point too, but they’re not there yet. Will be interesting when we both are.

I Guess that Depends Upon Whether or Not You are the Owner of the Taco Stand

Scarborough Says You Can't Compare BLM and Capitol Riots: Taco Stands Not as Important as Capitol by Julio Rosas (townhall.com)

"Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough said on Tuesday that people cannot compare the riots that occurred for most of the year across the United States in 2020 to the January 6 Capitol riot because taco stands are not as important as the Capitol building.

"We need to make sure that the center of American democracy is never, never as compromised as it was on January the 6th. I know there are idiots on other cable news channels that will say, well, this mom-and-pop store was vandalized during the summer riots and that’s just as bad as the United States Capitol being vandalized.' No. No, actually no, jackasses, it’s not. The Capitol of the United States is the center of American democracy," Scarborough said.

"And while I am a fierce believer in people’s right to defend their private property, I’m not going to confuse a taco stand with the United States Capitol," he continued. "I’m not going to confuse the selling of tacos with actually moving through a constitutional process that is laid out in the United States Constitution for members of the House and the Senate to actually perform their constitutional duties. No. No, no, no. Property damage does not equal insurrection."

Question for Joe. Which is more important to people’s every day lives? The Taco Stand? Or the Capitol Building? Which is more important to people’s livelihoods? Commerce? Or government?

And which is more devastating to the people? Murder and arson? Or stealing a podium?

Joe, you are a complete idiot.

Here Are The Professors Disparaging Rush Limbaugh’s Passing | The Daily Wire

Sarah Parcak, an anthropology professor at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, said she hoped that Limbaugh suffered until his last breath. “When a terrible piece of scum who caused immeasurable harm to millions dies, there is no sympathy,” Parcak said. “Only a desire that they suffered until their last breath.”

In a since-deleted tweet, James McMaster, an assistant professor in Asian American studies and gender and women’s/LGBTQ+ studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, said he was grateful the world lost Limbaugh. “Very grateful that from today onward I will live in a world without Rush Limbaugh in it,” McMaster said.

Another University of Wisconsin-Madison associate professor in the Department of Gender & Women’s studies, Dr. Sami Schalk tweeted “welp” to the news of Limbaugh’s passing.

Professor of education at the University of South Carolina, Nick Mariner, blamed Limbaugh for his childhood trauma. “Rush Limbaugh is almost singularly responsible for making my childhood home more hostile, more anti-intellectual, and more oppositional. He was the worst of us, and I lament all the pretenders who want to fill his spot. #GoodRiddance,” Mariner tweeted.

Stephen Young, an adjunct faculty member in religious studies at Appalachian State University, said Limbaugh’s legacy will live in eternal shame. “Rush is dead and his shame is eternal. Save your mourning energy for activism to dismantle the evil world he helped build. May his name be an instructive curse forever,” Young tweeted.

In another since-deleted tweet, Yale professor of law and philosophy Scott Shapiro tweeted, “I wouldn’t say I was happy that Rush Limbaugh died. It’s more like euphoria.”

Professor Lora Burnett at Collin College in Texas tweeted “#BIH Rush Limbaugh.” “BIH” stands for “burn in hell.”

Another Collin College professor, Michael Phillips, wrote an obituary for Limbaugh. “He was a horrible human being beloved by the worst people on the planet. That’s my obit,” Phillips wrote.

Paul Thomas, a professor at Furman University, said not even cancer is a good enough excuse to mourn the life of Limbaugh. “Death and the tragedy of cancer in no way erase the facts of a person being a genuinely horrible entity that made a fortune at the expense of others. With almost no consequences,” Thomas said. “Death is no excuse for silence around evil.”

Erik Loomis, a professor of history at the University of Rhode Island, tweeted, “pour one out for Rush Limbaugh’s pill dealers.”

After the radio legend’s death, the hashtag “#goodriddance” and “Rest in Piss” began trending on Twitter. Mariam Durrani, an assistant professor of anthropology at Hamilton College in New York, called the hashtag “quality afternoon viewing.”

“The #goodriddance situation is quality afternoon viewing,” Durrani said.

A postdoctoral fellow at the University of Virginia tweeted that he had a slew of “tasteless” jokes running through his mind. “There are so many tasteless Rush jokes running through my brain right now.”

Rebecca Goetz, an associate professor of history at New York University responded by saying, “oh no anything that mocks that asshole is in very good taste [in my honest opinion].”

Crisis PR Consultant: ‘Anything’ That Offends The Left ‘A Problem,’ My Clients Work Hard To Please Them | The Daily Wire

A crisis public relations consultant told an entertainment publication that in Hollywood “anything” that offends the political Left is a problem and that his clients go out of their way to post things on social media that will appease the online left-wing outrage mob.

The comments were featured in a story published by The Hollywood Reporter about Disney’s recent firing of conservative actress Gina Carano. The publication noted that publicists have advised their clients to “steer clear of politics, especially anything leaning right.”

The problem is, as is noted above, this is very one-sided. And yielding to this only makes it more and more one-sided. This is what leads to cancel culture. The only way to beat it is to actually fight it, not give in. If PR consultants just told their clients to give cancel culture the middle finger, and say “we’re not going to bow to your insane demands”, it wouldn’t take long to turn the tide.

But no one is willing to do that. So, it just gets worse, and worse, and worse.

On Monday, Harris held her second call with a foreign world leader when she spoke to French President Emmanuel Macron, The New York Post reported Tuesday.

I Could Buy this Argument Except for One Tiny Thing

Collins Defends Vote to Convict Trump: It Was a ‘Culmination of Actions’ that Started Before Election (breitbart.com)

Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) defended her decision to convict former President Donald Trump for incitement of insurrection during an appearance Tuesday on WLOB radio with host Ray Richardson, explaining that she voted to convict Trump not just based on his January 6 speech alone but his “culmination of actions which started even before the election occurred.”

I think there’s an argument to be made that he did incite for months and that led to the “riot” in the Capitol. I would disagree with such an argument, but I understand it at least. I don’t know about the “before the election” bit, but that’s not my biggest complaint with what she said.

Here’s the problem.

That’s not what Trump was charged with. He was charged with incitement on January 6th. The only quote that was supplied was from something he said on that day. No evidence of any actions taken before January 6th was supplied at the trial, nor was it included in the charge.

Collins is essentially saying that someone being charged with robbery of a 7-11 would be guilty because one of the jurors knew that the alleged perpetrator had robbed an entirely different 7-11 a month before.

That’s pathetic reasoning and antithetical to everything in American jurisprudence. If she felt that the only way she could vote for his conviction was because of things he did before the date of the riot, that were not mentioned in the trial, then she had a duty to acquit. A duty that she failed.

This reasoning makes me like her less. I’m generally willing to give Collins the benefit of the doubt, because she’s from a remarkably blue state, and yet has managed to hold her position as a Republican Senator for quite some time, but this is too far. This is mentally deficient. I can’t condone that.

Someone Finally Figured Out a Way to Make Fauci Shut Up

Fauci: 'I Prefer Not to Comment' on Gov. Cuomo Mishandling Coronavirus (breitbart.com)

“CNN Newsroom” host Jim Sciutto asked Fauci, “You’re a New Yorker yourself, though you don’t live there right now. Andrew Cuomo is coming under criticism now for the big move back to long-term care facilities in the midst of this crisis here. He’s argued that his state was following federal guidelines when he ordered those long-term care facilities to accept patients returning from hospitals. I wonder, can you clear that up. Was he actually following federal guidelines to do that?”

“You know, Jim, I can’t,” Fauci replied. “I mean, I’m sorry. I’m really — I’m honestly not trying to evade your question, but I’m not really sure of all the details of that, and I think if I make a statement, it probably could either be incorrect or taken out of context. So, I prefer not to comment on that.”

Oddly, he wasn’t nearly so silent on New York earlier. What changed?

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci on Friday praised New York for its handling of the coronavirus pandemic, saying the state did it “correctly.”

“We know that, when you do it properly, you bring down those cases. We have done it. We have done it in New York,” Fauci said in an interview on “PBS NewsHour.”

Maybe what changed is that now the Democrat is in trouble instead of being praised.

Hmmm.

Pelosi Announces 9/11-Style Commission for Capitol Riot (pjmedia.com)

On Monday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) sent her fellow Democrats a “Dear Colleague” letter focused on “security, security, security.” She announced that Congress will establish a “9/11-type Commission” to investigate the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, specifically describing the riot as a “domestic terrorist attack.” This announcement will only fuel the Democrats’ push toward launching a domestic “War on Terror” that will likely target conservatives.

DeSantis Shreds Biden: Democrats Put ‘Interests Of Education Unions’ Ahead Of ‘Wellbeing Of Our Children’ | The Daily Wire

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis slammed the Biden administration during a press conference this week, warning that kids will “not go back in [this] school year” under the Biden administration’s current plans and “may not even go back in the fall.”

DeSantis specifically highlighted the newly released CDC guidelines for reopening schools. The Washington Post reported that the Biden administration’s new guidelines effectively would do away with full in-person learning for the foreseeable future, even as cases drop around the country, because to have full in-person learning the rates of community transmission would need to be “quite low,” which The Post notes does not exist almost anywhere in the U.S.

When you’re a sitting Governor, you don’t attack the President publicly unless you’re trying to make a name for yourself. And not only is he attacking the President, he’s touting his successes.

“We have been open, they will remain open and we are not turning back,” DeSantis continued. “We’ve been open the whole time since August. We had kids doing camps and athletics and all that over the summer. And we’ve been in person as much as anybody in the country. And yet, we’re 34 out of 50 states and DC for COVID-19 cases on a per capita basis for children. Thirty-three states have more cases per capita than than Florida, for children per capita.

Huh. I’m not the only one noticing.

Ron DeSantis Gets 2024 'Tier One' Designation From Party Insiders (pjmedia.com)

Politico spoke to Republican veterans across the country who give DeSantis a lot of runway going into 2024. Many say they hear his name in unexpected places, like Texas, where he seems to be gaining popularity. The author notes that he is probably popular with Republicans because he defies experts and spars with the media. A shallow assessment, to be sure.

DeSantis is gaining in popularity for several reasons. He has an authenticity about him that is not boorish. He can handle himself with the media, knowing when to crack a joke and when to get serious. DeSantis holds people accountable, like firing  Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel after his failures during the Parkland shooting. He also defends Floridians by committing to taking on Big Tech to protect free speech and showing a willingness to take on the new administration when it threatened Florida with travel restrictions.

Republican pollster Tony Fabrizio, who worked for Trump and DeSantis, told Politico:

“Any serious handicapper would have to put DeSantis in tier one for 2024. And tier one is not big,” he said. Fabrizio puts the governor in the same class as Pence and Cruz, even though they’re far better known at the moment.

I’m not sure I would put Pence in tier one. He’d be a GOP Establishment pick, but he’s Jeb! all over again. I don’t think the base follows him, even if he was Trump’s VP. And whoever the candidate is in 2024, they will need the base. It won’t be a coronation. We learned that in 2016. Or at least I hope “we” learned it (talking to you, GOP Establishment—I certainly learned it).

Has Anyone Told Him the Election is Over?

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Still Considering Presidential Run | The Daily Wire

I Hate This Man—I Truly Do

Not even a month in office, and he has dramatically overstayed his welcome.

Since 2000, I have been nearly a single issue voter. After 9/11, I briefly changed into a two issue voter, but the 2nd one was really an extension of the first.

I believe America needs to be energy independence. I’ve been saying that over and over for 20 years. President Donald Trump (R-USA) took us there, effectively. We weren’t quite. We still imported a lot of energy sources. But we were a net exporter. We sent out more than was coming in. That’s the first biggest step in getting us to energy independence.

He did it by opening up leases, opening up drilling, fracking, oil pipelines. It made us far less reliant upon the most unstable region in the world, and helped make that region more stable. And as an added bonus, it made energy cheaper than it has been in years. Oh, and it employed a ton of people too.

The amount of good that came out of this truly cannot be quantified or overstated.

In just a few weeks, President Joe Biden (D-USA) has made it his mission to destroy all that.

And I hate him for it.

WATCH: From energy independent to energy dependent (again)? | Sharyl Attkisson

Throttling down U.S. production of oil and gas stands to affect the price of everything dependent on trucks and planes that use fossil fuel, from airline tickets to groceries trucked to stores. It could also mean America needs to buy more oil from other nations, often in unstable regions.

David Blackmon: Now, the risk to me as being reliant on countries and parts of the world that, that are relatively unstable, right? The more dependent we become on those parts of the world where those kinds of things happen, then it becomes more of an imperative for our country to get involved militarily in those kinds of conflicts

Biden doesn’t care. He doesn’t care about you. He doesn’t care about the American economy. He certainly doesn’t care about peace in the Middle East. Nor does he care about American energy independence.

Jerk.

The Battle Lines Have Been Drawn

McConnell's Impeachment Ploy Was An Attack On The Base (thefederalist.com)

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell “got a load off his chest” with his speech closing out Friday’s second failed impeachment attempt against former President Donald Trump. “Unfortunately,” however, “he [also] put a load on the back of Republicans. That speech you will see in 2022 campaigns.”

Who’s responsible for that quote? It might surprise some it wasn’t Donald Trump Jr. or Rep. Matt Gaetz — it was Sen. Lindsey Graham, a moderate, hawkish Republican not up for re-election for six whole years.

It got the attention of someone else too.

BREAKING: Trump slams McConnell as a 'dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack' | The Post Millennial

"The Republican Party can never again be respected or strong with political 'leaders' like Sen. Mitch McConnell at its helm. McConnell's dedication to business as usual, status quo policies, together with his lack of political insight, wisdom, skill, and personality, has rapidly driven him from Majority Leader to Minority Leader, and it will only get worse. The Democrats and Chuck Schumer play McConnell like a fiddle—they’ve never had it so good—and they want to keep it that way! We know our America First agenda is a winner, not McConnell’s Beltway First agenda or Biden’s America Last.

The 2022 primaries are going to be interesting, but this battle may well cost the GOP the Senate, and possibly the House as well. It better be worth it.

Trump is correct, though. He has transformed the Republican party from it’s corporate fat cat image to a populist party of the people. McConnell wants to take it back to where we were. I do not believe that that McConnell’s vision is one that will win national elections. Trump’s brashness and coarseness cost him in the suburbs. But his ability to connect with the common man and the notion that he’s a fighter, won big in typically Democratic strongholds. Without that bloc, the GOP is doomed. They need to figure out how to maintain that bloc and get the suburbs back.

And McConnell’s path won’t take them there.

No, I Can’t Get on Board with This

GOP resolution demands boycott of Beijing Olympics | One America News Network (oann.com)

I have felt for over 40 years that boycotting the Moscow Games in 1980 was the dumbest thing that President Jimmy Carter (D-USA) ever did. And that is setting the bar incredibly high, because I actually can’t think of a single smart thing he did while President.

So, sorry. I’ll pass. Don’t make the athletes who have been training their whole lives for this become pawns in your games. Instead, go and beat the holy crap out of them.

I Truly Hope this Person is Fired. Immediately.

Cuomo Has Gotten so Toxic that Even Other Democrats are Avoiding him Like he Has…well…the China Virus

De Blasio calls for full investigation into Cuomo's handling of nursing home scandal (washingtonexaminer.com)

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio [(D)] called for an investigation into an alleged cover-up by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s [(D)] administration over how many patients died in nursing homes early in the COVID-19 pandemic.

"It's very troubling. We've got to know more. We now need a full accounting of what happened," de Blasio said during a radio interview on Friday.

"Think about seniors, who their lives were in the balance and their families, you know, just desperate to get them the help they needed," de Blasio continued. "We need to know exactly what happened here. We need to make sure nothing like this ever happens again."

The fact that he was made out to be a hero by leftist media would be funny if it weren’t so disgusting. Hopefully Cuomo will pay, but I doubt it.

Wow, That Record Didn’t Last Long

I called this the dumbest idea I’ve heard in years. In my very last post.

Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a new winner!

Democrat Congresswoman: ‘Truth Commission’ Needed For ‘Common Narrative,’ ‘Look At’ Right-Wing Media | The Daily Wire

Freshman Rep. Sara Jacobs (D-CA[-53]) told CNN over the weekend that a “truth commission” was needed in the U.S. so that there could be a “common narrative moving forward” and suggested that lawmakers needed to probe right-wing media to see what role that it had in the January 6 riot in Washington, D.C.

These people are completely nuts. 1984 was not supposed to be a how-to guide.

They want to silence anyone who dares to disagree with them. But don’t worry, Trump was the authoritarian.

This May be the Dumbest Idea that I’ve Heard in Years

Coons: 'We Need to Spend Months and Months' on a 9/11-Style Commission on Capitol Hill Riots (breitbart.com)

Question: if we need to spend months figuring out what happened, why did we just have a trial about it? Trial first, gather evidence afterwards?

Regardless, a Capitol Hill witch hunt on the “riot” is insane. They didn’t try to take over a city. They didn’t burn, loot, and murder for months, They didn’t shoot at a whole bunch of Congressman. A few people had a crazy day and went home.

Stupidest idea I’ve heard in years.

Well, at Least They’re Honest About It

WATCH: BLM activist says movement supports boycotting and dismantling Israel | The Post Millennial

In a sane world, this would end his career or end the movement. But anti-Semitism and leftism go hand-in-hand, so if anything it probably just makes him more powerful on the left.

It’s truly sad to watch what America is becoming.

Re-Fund the Police!

Well, who could have seen this coming? Oh, that’s right. Everyone who isn’t a complete lunatic.

Minneapolis push to defund police backfires after residents complain of slow response times, increase in crime | Fox News

Minneapolis on Friday backtracked on its original push to defund the city’s police department in the wake of George Floyd’s police custody death after residents begged the city to hire more officers, citing longer response times and increased violent crime.

The City Council on Friday voted unanimously to approve $6.4 million in additional funding that police had requested.

Everyone who supported the “Defund the Police” movement should be mocked. Daily. Politicians who supported it should be removed from office as quickly as legally possible. This movement was designed to destroy American society.

And it’s succeeding.

Twitter Bans Wayne Allyn Root

WAYNE ROOT: I’ve Been Banned by Twitter, You’re Next (thegatewaypundit.com)

A decade ago, I gave a speech to 1000 conservatives in San Francisco. I opened with a joke. I said, ‘It’s a little confusing to be in a city where you can be openly gay, openly transsexual,
but you have to be a closet conservative.’ It was a joke and the crowd roared. Now look how far we’ve come. Being a conservative is now a crime worthy of banning in America.

Conservatives are clearly the last remaining group that can be openly discriminated against. It’s legal to make me and my opinions ‘disappear’- even though my opinions represent 74 million voters in this past election. Even though I was clearly popular on Twitter. I gained over 70,000 new fans on Twitter in just a few weeks around the election.

But see, there’s the real problem. I was popular. And I speak raw truth. My opinions were attracting quite a following. Twitter and liberals couldn’t allow that. The truth might catch on. Truth might spread. Americans might start to ask questions. That would be bad for business.

So now, I’m a political prisoner…in America. My opinions are banned. What’s next? Black armbands for conservatives? Gun confiscation? Re-education camps?

You think he’s making a mountain out of a molehill, but others have suggested re-education camps already.

The next four years will see the greatest crackdowns on freedoms in this country in more than 100 years.

And 80 million of you voted for it.

Tenn. Republicans introduce bill allowing fathers to petition to block mothers from having abortions | One America News Network (oann.com)

Abortions should not be legal in most cases without the father’s consent.

I realize there must be exceptions:

  • The father cannot be found
  • The father cannot or is not willing to support the child
  • The mother’s life is in danger

Other than that, the father deserves input into this. It is his child too.

“My child, my choice.” should be the slogan.
