Universities Try to Force a Consensus About the Kyle Rittenhouse Verdict - The Atlantic

Rather than encourage independent scrutiny, administrators on many campuses have issued statements that presuppose answers to hotly contested questions, and assert opinions about the not-guilty verdict in the case and its ostensible significance as though they were matters of community consensus.

The whole episode is an illustration of a bigger problem in academia: Administrators make ideologically selective efforts to soothe the feelings of upset faculty members and students. These actions impose orthodoxies of thought, undermining both intellectual diversity and inclusion. "Certainly," declared a statement by Dwight A. McBride, president of the New School, "the verdict raises questions about … vigilantism in the service of racism and white supremacy." In reality, many observers are far from certain that, when 12 jurors concluded that a white man shot three other white men in self-defense, they were saying anything about white supremacy.

Maybe you should pay attention to the law. Maybe you should pay attention to what the case results are. Maybe you should consider those things, and not your precious feelings. Maybe you might learn something.

People Who Are Afraid of ”Offending Muslims” Are the True Islamophobes

Canadian school cancels event with ISIS survivor Nadia Murad after complaints it would be "offensive to Muslims" (reclaimthenet.org)

I would be more sympathetic about things that are “offensive to Muslims” if anyone at all was worried about things that are “offensive to Christians”. And if Muslims weren’t responsible for most of the world’s terrorism. They’re chopping people’s heads off on TV and we’re not allowed to “offend” them?

That’s Islamophobia, pure and simple. You don’t want to offend them because you know that will inspire them to commit more terrorist acts.

The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) has canceled an event featuring Nadia Murad, an ISIS survivor.

Murad was to attend a book club event where she would discuss her book “The Last Girl: My Story Of Captivity” with students from the TDSB. The book explains how she escaped ISIS, which captured and subjected her to sexual slavery at only 14 years of age.

Well, yes, I can understand how Muslims might be offended that someone escaped from them and avoided sexual slavery at their hands.

You don’t have the right to not be offended. But Murad does have the right to not be a slave to you.

I hate people who accuse me of being an Islamophobe when they’re far more of one than I could ever be.

Big Tech Is a Protection Racket for Their Benefactors

Facebook censorship hinders Cuban journalists reporting on corruption (reclaimthenet.org)

José Manuel Moreno Borrego, a journalist who works for an independent online news outlet, who has also been in house arrest since the huge demonstrations in July, said he has been censored on Facebook without explanation.

“I cannot share messages on Facebook with people at times. I get a message saying that I was not permitted to do this, but there is no explanation. This is happening every two months or so,” he told VOA by telephone from Havana. “I am talking to you by WhatsApp, which is owned by Facebook but it is autonomous. I think the government may have put pressure on Facebook to block us.”

Facebook said they blocked him for sharing the same content multiple times.

That’s just BS. Back when I was on that horrible platform, I would see many places post the same things day after day. They never got blocked as spam.

“Even though frequently the platform, in this case Facebook, may eventually restore their access after appeals, this is not always an option for many people since the appeal mechanism requires a level of access and comfort with technology and bureaucracy which can be out of reach for many people.”

Díaz Hernández added, “In Cuba, even though access to the internet has opened up a bit in the past couple of years, it is still very expensive and not at all something which is available for everyone — which means that decisions like this take a larger toll for them than they would for other people in countries where access is more widely available.”

Facebook is protecting the Communist government. Period.

Oh No! Who Can Save Us From Omicron?

N.Y. Gov Declares State of Emergency Over New China Flu Variant, Even Though No Cases Yet in New York – PJ Media

The first line of Hochul’s press release regarding her state-of-emergency declaration reads, “Governor Kathy Hochul today announced urgent action to boost hospital capacity and address staffing shortages ahead of potential spikes in COVID-19 cases this upcoming winter.”

Maybe firing all those heroes filthy, unvaccinated healthcare workers two months ago wasn’t such a good idea. In fact, it was downright idiotic. It makes me wonder if she got her COVID acumen from reading Cuomo’s “COVID leadership” book. Or perhaps she just wants to beat Cuomo’s serial-killer toll of 15,000 dead New Yorkers.

Thank you, Governor Hochul for having the foresight to save us from…a low grade fever.

Agggggghhhh! The sky is falling! The sky is falling! Save us! Save us all!

Or maybe not.

Let’s Try a Thought Experiment

Imagine a Kwanzaa parade going on.

A man in an SUV drives through the parade, killing several, injuring dozens.

Moreover, the man has the following characteristics:

  • He’s white
  • He’s a Trump supporter
  • He’s anti-BLM and vocal about it
  • He’s associated with white supremacists

How do you think the media would treat such an event?

They would be literally foaming at the mouth. We’d have non-stop coverage of this. It wouldn’t go away for weeks. It’d be front page news every day. It’d be practically the only thing talked about on cable news.

Now, let’s return to reality.

Xmas fair killer rapped about hating Trump, supported BLM, antisemitic: will be memory-holed soon | Spin, strangeness, and charm (wordpress.com)

So one Darrell E. Brooks apparently drove his SUV into a Waukesha, WI Christmas fair crowd, killing five and wounding many others.

The MSM agitprop “journalists” would have had a field day if he were a “white supremacist” or merely a Trump supporter. Alas for them:

  • He’s actually black
  • Rapped under the moniker “Mathboi Fly” with Trump-bashing lyrics
  • Vocal BLM supporter
  • Parroted black supremacist claptrap, including the idea that white Jews are imposters and black people are the real Jews (which he attributes with approval to none other than Adolf H. [y”sh])

But this story has already practically disappeared, and has been minimized from the very beginning.

Media bias 101. If it doesn’t support the narrative, or can’t be twisted to support the narrative, it must be dismissed.

Elizabeth Warren: Call Your Office

Director of Native Health Research in Canada Forced to Resign – PJ Media

Why?

Colleagues got suspicious as she began adding on to her lineage of native tribes. She claimed to be a member of the Métis Nation. She also claimed Anishinaabe heritage and asserted that she’s a descendant of the Tlingit, a small group of Indigenous people from the Yukon and British Columbia.

The Canadian Broadcasting Company traced her ancestry and didn’t find a drop of native blood. It turns out Ms. Bourassa descended from immigrant farmers who hailed from Russia, Poland, and Czechoslovakia.

LOL.

So, this would be actual cultural appropriation.

CBC:

She said her saving grace was her Métis grandfather, who would often sit her on his knee and tell her “you’re going to be a doctor or a lawyer.”

“He would make me repeat it over and over as there was chaos going on, usually violence,” Bourassa said. “And why would he make me say that? Because there was nobody in my family that had ever gone past Grade 8.”

She’s more fake than professional wrestling. That’s funny.

I Do Agree With Part of This

If you’re having problems with the Rittenhouse verdict, you do need professional help. Not to help you cope, but to help you learn how to be a competent and useful member of society, because you are clearly a snowflake.

“With the news that Kyle Rittenhouse was not convicted in the shooting of three individuals — two of whom lost their lives — during racial justice protests last year, this is a difficult day for many,” wrote Levi Strauss chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer Elizabeth Morrison in a letter to staff obtained by the Daily Mail.

“To help promote safety, sharing and to encourage healing, I’ll be hosting a fireside chat and Q&A with Dr. Jamila Codrington, a licensed psychologist and racial trauma specialist in early December,” she continued. “Dr. J and I will talk about the mental and psychical impacts of back-to-back social and racial justice events and trauma coping mechanisms during our discussion.”

Note the phrasing: “not convicted”, “lost their lives” “difficult day for many”.

To me, it’s a day to celebrate that you can still defend yourself when attacked by child rapists and serial sexual abusers. And that you can be glad that someone didn’t lose his life when attacked by same.

I think that’s the message Elizabeth Morton should be sending. I’m pretty sure if I told her that she would get the vapors, based upon this message anyway.

I really wonder sometimes if liberals even live in the same world as I do.

Sounds Like Fears of Omicron Are Overblown

Quelle surprise.

All Bark, No Bite? Omicron Variant Symptoms Reportedly Mild – PJ Media

Dr. Angelique Coetzee, the South African doctor responsible for alerting health officials about the omicron variant of COVID-19 says it presents “unusual but mild” symptoms.

Coetzee first observed patients with unusual symptoms who were otherwise healthy in mid-November.

“Their symptoms were so different and so mild from those I had treated before,” Coetzee told The Telegraph. Coetzee has been a General Practitioner for 33 years, has her own practice, and chairs the South African Medical Association.

Coetzee noticed her patients were coming in with symptoms she said didn’t make sense at first. The diverse group of patients experienced intense fatigue, but none of her patients lost their sense of taste or smell.

Low grade fever, high heart rate. This is rarely life threatening.

So, why the panic over this variant? Because we haven’t had anything to panic over in a while. Who knows. We might stop panicking. We might start thinking we don’t need vax mandates or booster shots. We might go back to living our lives the way we did before we submitted to unreasonable government control.

It Is Now Illegal Even in Texas to Be an Engaged Parent

Texas School Board Sends Police To Arrest Parents At Their Homes For Speaking Out Against School Board During Meetings (lifezette.com)

At this point, it’s time to re-visit how school boards are organized and what kind of power they should have. School boards should be on the same side as parents, not considering them enemies to be arrested.

While parents were asking the school board to open up the room so public comments could be shared, school board president Amy Weir ordered officers to remove Clark from school grounds. While Clark was being removed from the property, he reportedly called the school board members communists and demanded that they should “let the public in.”

But this wasn’t the end of the controversy regarding Story and Clark – as they’d find themselves being visited by police days later and arrested. The Round Rock Independent School District has their very own police force, reportedly consisting of patrol units, school resource officers, a detective, and a K-9 unit.

The school district sent officers to Clark and Story’s homes and had them arrested under charges of disorderly conduct with intent to disrupt a meeting, where the two local fathers were jailed overnight and released the following day.

This is truly frightening. We have a police state with dedicated police run by school boards being used to intimidate concerned parents.

The Justification Is the Need to Maintain Public Fear of the Virus

South Africa’s Top Health Official Slams ‘New COVID’ Travel Bans, Says They’re Unjustified [VIDEO] (lifezette.com)

[South Africa minister of health Dr. Joe Phaahla] also said that many countries that have imposed travel bans have a much higher daily infection rate than South Africa. “It really doesn’t look scientific in any way. So that’s why we insist that kind of reaction is quite a knee jerk and panic and actually almost wanting to put the blame on other countries rather than work together as guided by the World Health Organization.”

Pleading with countries and organizations to work with South Africa, Dr. Phaahla added, “The U.K. simply went ahead and imposed the restriction without even engaging us. So, that was basically a unilateral action without, before there could be any engagement.”

Knee jerk reactions have been the norm during this pandemic. Worse, once they’ve been shown to be knee jerk reactions, they aren’t revisited.

Screenshot 2021-12-04 131135Our betters are still protecting us from Kyle Rittenhouse. Isn’t that nice of them.

BTW, this is an explicit block. If you do a main page search, or even an image search, it’s clear that such shirts do exist.

As noted by The Blaze: “Google has no issues selling shirts with serial killers such as Jeffrey Dahmer, the cannibal sex offender who killed at least 17 men in Wisconsin, John Wayne Gacy, who was convicted of murdering at least 33 young men and boys, and Ted Bundy, who raped and murdered at least 20 young women and girls.

“On Google shopping, you can purchase clothes featuring Che Guevara, a homophobic and racist Marxist revolutionary; Pol Pot, leader of the Marxist Khmer Rouge that killed more than 1.7 million people through work, starvation, and torture in four years; Joseph Stalin, the Russian communist despot believed to have killed 20 million; and Chairman Mao, the Chinese communist tyrant that killed 45 million in four years.”

That seems about right. Jeffrey Dahmer is ok, as is Che and Pol Pot, but not Kyle Rittenhouse.

Another Day, Another Fight Against Vax Mandates

Police Union In St. Paul, Minnesota Files Lawsuit Over City Vaccine Mandate (lifezette.com)

I know I keep posting these, and they’re all basically the same. I just want to point out how many there are.

In Minnesota, the St. Paul Police Union is fighting back against the city’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate with a new lawsuit.

The Star Tribune reported that the union said in a statement that it is “not anti-vaccine, nor are we conspiracy theorists — we are reasonable and dedicated public servants who believe in personal choice.”

It should be a personal choice. I’m vaccinated. My entire family is. I wouldn’t push it on others, as long as they are taking reasonable precautions to prevent the spread of this disease. Also, as treatments become better and better and as we understand more and more about the disease, vaccinations seem much less of a requirement.

I Suppose I Should Be Glad About a New Obstacle to Assisted Suicide

But this seems like it would be something in The Babylon Bee. It isn’t. It’s Not The Babylon Bee.

Not a joke: German clinics are now requiring the Covid vaccine in order to get euthanized | Not the Bee

Now this is an absurd vax mandate. You have to be vaxxed before you’re allowed to kill yourself.

Umm…

No, I can’t.

Ok…I’m just going to say this.

If I’m looking at killing myself, fear of getting the China virus is probably not at the top of my list.

Irony has been declared many times in this pandemic but now, from Covid-riddled Germany comes the final proof: you can't kill yourself now unless you've been vaccinated. As European countries battle to limit the spread of the virus, Verein Sterbehilfe – the German Euthanasia Association – has issued a new directive, declaring it will now only help those who have been vaccinated or recovered from the disease.

I am of German descent, so I guess I have this in me, but I just have to say: Germans are crazy people.

This Is Disappointing

Merck's Miracle COVID-19 Pill Not As Miraculous As Claimed – PJ Media

Molnupiravir was dubbed by the Wall Street Journal as a “Tamiflu for COVID-19” that would slow the spread of COVID-19 in the body and potentially prevent serious illness.

But, now Merck & Co. says that updated data from their study showed that molnupiravir was significantly less effective at cutting hospitalizations and deaths than previously touted.

“The drugmaker said its pill showed a 30% reduction in hospitalizations and deaths, based on data from 1,433 patients,” reports Reuters. “In October, its data nL1N2QX0QJ showed a roughly 50% efficacy, based on data from 775 patients.”

Pfizer is also working on a pill, called Paxlovid, which claims to reduce hospitalizations and deaths by 89%.

Meanwhile, the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine, which is out-of-patent and cheap to make, goes absurdly underused in the fight against COVID. There have been nearly 300 studies into hydroxychloroquine’s effectiveness in treating COVID-19—the overwhelming majority of which show positive results—including a large-scale study published in July conducted by the Henry Ford Health System that found a 50% reduction in mortality in patients who took hydroxychloroquine.

Hydroxychloroquine? No, we can’t use that. Trump promoted that, so it’s clearly wrong and a health hazard. You might as well use a horse de-wormer.

Because Progressive Policies Are Designed to Increase Progressive Power, Not Create Utopias

NYT wonders: Say, why aren't deep-blue states progressive Utopias? – HotAir

The Blaze summed it up last week:

Harris teamed up with Times editorial board writer Binyamin Appelbaum to examine why famously liberal states — such as New York, California, and Washington — struggle to advance the progressive policies despite little to no Republican opposition.

They focused on three core initiatives of the Democratic Party platform: affordable housing, economic equality, and educational opportunity. And in the end, they discovered that “liberal hypocrisy,” not Republican opposition, “is fueling American inequality” and that things are actually much worse in blue states than they are in red.

“In key respects, many blue states are actually doing worse than red states,” the journalists noted in a written report accompanying the video. “It is in the blue states where affordable housing is often hardest to find, there are some of the most acute disparities in education funding and economic inequality is increasing most quickly.”

“Blue states are the problem,” Applebaum, who covers economics and business for the Times, exclaimed.

“Blue states are where the housing crisis is located. Blue states are where the disparities in education funding are the most dramatic. Blue states are the places where tens of thousands of homeless people are living on the streets. Blue states are the places where economic inequality is increasing most quickly in this country. This is not a problem of not doing well enough; it is a situation where blue states are the problem,” he added.

None of this is surprising.

It takes an act of God to get anything built in California now, especially commercial development that might support middle-class jobs. The environmental regulations alone have practically produced stasis in business expansion in California, except for the high-tech industries that married themselves to the Democratic Party over the last couple of decades. The energy shortages in the state make it an unreliable place to do business. The end result of all these progressive policies and hypocrisies is increased economic stratification as the middle class migrates out of the state for better economic opportunities.

They’re anti-business, high tax and anti-police. This makes for disasters for the average person, not Utopias. It’s really not hard to understand, unless you’re a progressive.

Canada Releases Almost Half of Their Strategic ... Maple Syrup ... Reserves

No, this isn’t The Babylon Bee.

Canada taps into maple syrup reserves to deal with massive shortage : NPR

This is a seasonal process though, as maple sap can only be harvested in specific weather conditions. So, this year's short and warm Spring resulted in an uncharacteristically low yield for producers.

"That's why the reserve is made, to never miss maple syrup. And we won't miss maple syrup!" said Helene Normandin, the Quebec Maple Syrup Producers' communications director.

While it's hard to predict what next year's crop will look like, Normandin said they were already planning for the future.

"What we can figure at this moment is maybe the season here in Quebec will start a bit earlier in February, instead of March, and end earlier also," she said.

Eat your waffles now, I guess, while you still can.

The News Isn’t That Protection Fades, but How Fast

COVID-19 protection wanes after two doses of Pfizer vaccine, study says - UPI.com

Across all age groups, 1.3% tested positive 21-89 days after a second dose, increasing to 2.4% after 90-119 days 4.6% after 120-149 days 10.3% after 150-179 days, and 15.5% after 180 days or more.

Compared with the first 90 days after a second dose, the risk of infection was 2.37-fold higher after 90-119 days 2.66-fold higher after 120-149 days 2.82-fold higher after 150-179 days, and 2.82-fold higher after 180 days or more.

So, I need a booster after 90 days? I’m going to be getting booster vaccinations every three months for the rest of my life? Surely there’s a better plan than this.

COVID-19 vaccination programs worldwide are helping control the spread of the coronavirus, but breakthrough infections still occur in countries with high vaccination rates, and scientists believe this is due to a gradual loss of vaccine-induced immunity over time.

Maybe this should suggest we come up with an alternate plan for dealing with this. Just a thought.

U.S. inflation is one of the highest in the world | Fortune

With a 6.2% annual inflation rate in October, the U.S. is now seeing prices increase at the highest rate in more than 30 years.

According to a study by Pew Research Center, in the third quarter of 2021, the country had the eighth-highest annual inflation rate among 46 countries that were examined. The U.S. also had the third-highest increase in inflation, 3.58 percentage points, between the third quarter of 2019 and the same period this year. It trailed only Brazil and Turkey, both of which have less-developed economies that generally struggle with higher inflation rates more than the U.S.

Americans, especially the poor, have struggled with the effects of inflation as food prices have increased across the board in the run-up to Thanksgiving. Food prices globally are reaching their highest rates in decades, according to the United Nations Food and Agricultural Association.

But don’t worry. It’s a problem for the rich. And if you have an electric car, you don’t care about gas prices.

I’m So Old, I Remember When We Weren’t at the Mercy of OPEC

11 months ago. Seems like a lifetime.

OPEC considers lowering production to account for oil reserve releases (worldoil.com)

OPEC and its allies may re-evaluate plans for reviving oil supplies if the world’s four largest consuming countries go ahead with a co-ordinated release of their strategic petroleum reserves.

India became the latest major consumer to contemplate deploying its stockpiles, potentially assisting the U.S., Japan and China in a move to dampen the inflationary threat of higher energy costs. The U.S. has urged fellow consumers to tap reserves after crude prices hit a seven-year high.

But the potential move pits them against the OPEC+ coalition -- led by Saudi Arabia and Russia -- for control over world oil markets.

“Such a move would potentially raise the stakes in the oil poker game and could produce new strains in the bilateral relationship between Washington and Riyadh,” said Helima Croft, chief commodities strategist at RBC Capital Markets LLC.

The 23-nation alliance already rebuffed calls from U.S. President Joe Biden and others earlier this month to speed up the return of supplies halted during the pandemic. Delegates said that even the modest production increase they have penciled in may now be re-evaluated when the group meets next week.

A year ago, we did what we wanted with our oil production, and if OPEC didn’t like it, we gave them the finger. Now, we are beggars at their door, pleading with them to increase production, while they sit back and laugh.

Oddly, I Don’t Think That This Is the U.S.’s Responsibility

Senior U.S. General Says Iran ‘Very Close’ to Building a Nuclear Bomb, ‘Variety’ of Military Options on the Table (legalinsurrection.com)

Don’t get me wrong. I think it would be a disaster for the world if Iran obtains “the bomb”. But I don’t think the U.S. gets to decide who get the bomb and who doesn’t. If Iran desires it and produce it, then that’s their concern.

Time reported Gen Kenneth McKenzie’s remarks:

Less than a week before world powers resume negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program, the top U.S. commander in the Middle East says his forces stand ready with a potential military option should talks fail.

“Our president said they’re not going to have a nuclear weapon,” General Kenneth McKenzie, commander of U.S. Central Command, tells TIME. “The diplomats are in the lead on this, but Central Command always has a variety of plans that we could execute, if directed.” (…)

“They’re very close this time,” McKenzie says. “I think they like the idea of being able to breakout.”

Moreover, I don’t think that we can prevent them from getting the bomb forever. We should be more concerned with what we’re going to do after that happens, because it’s going to happen.

WATCH: LeBron James Fined $15,000 For ‘Obscene Gesture’ He Made On Court, Warned Over Language | The Daily Wire

The King is flailing around miserably lately. I think he’s feeling the pressure of being in LA. Much less pressure in Cleveland.

“James has been fined $15,000 for making an obscene gesture on the playing court and warned for using profane language during media availability in response to league imposed discipline,” the NBA said in a statement. “The incident occurred with 1:17 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Lakers’ 124-116 overtime win against the Indiana Pacers on Nov. 24 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.”

And Yet, They Can’t Figure Out Why Energy Prices Are So High

Biden Admin Recommends Tighter Constraints On New Oil And Gas Drilling Amid Energy Crisis | The Daily Wire

The report recommends that the federal government increase royalty rates for oil and gas drilling above the current rate of 12.5%, which is significantly less than many states and private landowners charge drilling companies to lease on their land. If implemented, the rate hike would be the first in 100 years, according to The Associated Press. The report also recommends an increase in the bond payments that oil and gas producers pay in advance for future cleanup operations from drilling new oil wells. Those rates have also not been raised in decades, according to the AP.

Brilliant.

Maybe we can close some pipelines again, too.

In 15-20 Years, We’re Going to Really Pay For What They’re Doing to Education

Math Is Now 'Racist' According to California – PJ Media

According to The San Francisco Standard, the new standards pull programs for gifted students, “de-emphasizes calculus, and applies social justice principles to math lessons.”

How about we apply math to math lessons?

“We were transforming math education, and change is hard and scary,” said Rebecca Pariso, a math teacher at Hueneme Elementary School District. “Especially if you don’t understand why that change needs to occur. But I didn’t expect it to go this far.”

I don’t undersand why it needs to occur, because it doesn’t need to occur.

This is right.

Over a thousand STEM experts signed an open letter condemning the proposed framework, saying it politicizes math. “[California’s] proposed Mathematics Curriculum Framework is presented as a step toward social justice and racial equity, but its effect would be the opposite—to rob all Californians, especially the poorest and most vulnerable, who always suffer most when schools fail to teach their students.”

But the Media Told Us What an Incredible Job He Was Doing

Report: NY COVID Response Under Cuomo Was ‘Frantic,’ Strained By ‘Impossible Demands’ And ‘Ridiculous Requests’ | The Daily Wire

It was all lies.

Politico noted one instance where Cuomo, seeking to draw attention to the number of tickets issued for non-compliance with COVID guidelines at his nationally-televised daily press briefings, “suggested that the state health department deploy half its roughly 5,000 employees to check restaurants for their compliance with the state’s mask-wearing and capacity limit rules.”

“He was like, ‘You could use them like an army,’” said the official, who spoke to Politico on condition of anonymity. The official, who was on the phone call where Cuomo suggested the idea, described it as “an impossible request,” but said that no one could turn the governor down. “[T]he call ended and no one said ‘no’ to him … No one could explain to him how bad the idea was,” the official said.

But Trump and DeSantis are the crazy ones.

New York State health officials and employees resigned in droves because of a work environment that was described as “frantic” and “based in politics, not science,” the report detailed. Officials said they often worked from early in the morning until midnight, while dealing with severely low morale due to the mounting death toll and resources that were stretched thin. One health official, whose testimony was included in the New York Attorney General’s investigation into Cuomo’s handling of the COVID-19 response, reportedly told investigators that working conditions at the Department of Health had so deteriorated that they asked one of the largest public-sector unions in the state, the Public Employees Federation, if they had legal recourse when it came to matters like unpaid overtime, which they were told was “not illegal during a public health crisis.”

They should have removed this man from office much sooner. And they would have, if the media hadn’t been protecting him and telling us all how amazing he was.

Lies.

Many people died from it. But they have no shame.

Non, Ce N’est Pas Possible

Notre Dame Cathedral Restoration is Going Woke - Victory Girls Blog

People from around the world watched in horror as Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris burned in 2019. Whether you were Catholic or not didn’t seem to matter. Lovers of history and resplendent Gothic architecture prayed that the nearly 900-year old edifice would somehow survive the blaze.

I watched in horror. Still get sick to my stomach thinking about it.

This makes me sicker, though.

So while renovators are painstakingly restoring the most damaged areas to their original state, some parts of the cathedral will become an “experimental showroom.” These new proposals will do away with traditional confessional boxes, altars, and classical structures. Instead visitors and the faithful will be treated to modern art murals and special effects intended to create “emotional spaces.”

But that’s not all. Visitors will go on a “discovery trail” by visiting 14 chapels. Eight of them will depict Genesis, Exodus, Abraham, and the the Prophets, but they’ll also see chapels that emphasize the five continents. There will also be Bible verses projected on walls in various languages, including Chinese Mandarin.

The final chapel on the “trail” will have an emphasis on environmentalism, and will be called “reconciled creation.” Of course that’s a hat tip to Pope Francis, who set forth an encyclical promoting environmentalism.

Notre Dame doesn’t need to be modernized. Don’t touch a classic. it’s a classic for a reason. I’ll be there next year. I won’t be inside, obviously, but I’ll get some pics of the outside.

Seniors Need Family More Than Anyone Else. The Pandemic Isolation Has Hit Them the Hardest.

Pandemic depression persists among older adults, study finds (medicalxpress.com)

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the mental health of older people living in the community, with those who are lonely faring far worse, according to new research from McMaster University.

Using data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA), a national team of researchers found that 43% of adults aged 50 or older experienced moderate or high levels of depressive symptoms at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, and that increased over time.

Loneliness was the most significant predictor of worsening depressive symptoms, with other pandemic-related stressors, such as family conflict, also increasing the odds.

Facebook Reportedly Censored Pro-Kyle Rittenhouse Posts Throughout Saga | The Daily Wire

The New York Post’s editorial board wrote on Thursday that “barely a week” after Rittenhouse shot three people during Black Lives Matter riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Facebook announced that it had “designated the shooting in Kenosha a mass murder and are removing posts in support of the shooter.”

“Just for starters: Killing two people is mass murder now? Sure looks like the social-media giant’s staff just reached for the nearest excuse to suppress posts that conflicted with their personal prejudices — and no higher-up bothered to correct the call,” the Post wrote. “The blackout went far and wide: Facebook actively policed its users for pro-Kyle Rittenhouse posts and removed the content. It even targeted posts from legal scholars arguing the merits of his self-defense case.

They were wrong. They were legally wrong.

But they are in control, so it doesn’t matter. This is a perfect example of why we need more freedom of speech on social media, not less. We need less censorship, not more.

There are calls for Boebert to be censured and stripped of her committee assignments, all because she made a joke at Omar’s expense. Thought experiment: If Omar had made a joke at Boebert’s expense, would she be facing calls to be censured today? Come on, man!

Seriously? Is this how thin skinned the Democrats have become? They can’t handle a mocking statement in an elevator?

And the Dems really have to stop this stripping committee assignments of the opposite party bull crap.

Boebert, as Stephen Kruiser details here, skewered Democrat hypocrisy in a fiery speech in which she foresaw what is happening to her now. “Democrat policies are so pathetic,” Boebert said, “and have done so poorly that the left has nothing better to do but troll the internet looking for ways to get offended and then try to target members and strip them of their committees. This is a dumb waste of the House’s time.

I’ve heard far worse than this from the left. Remember them posting videos of Paul Ryan (R-MN) pushing granny off a cliff?

Whiny b*tches. No sympathy.

Should Congress be more civil than it’s been the last couple of decades? Yes. Is it one party’s fault? No.

I. Don’t. Care.

Liberals Say The Term “Looting” Is Racist (lifezette.com)

Too bad.

I call ‘em like I see ‘em.

According to the local ABC affiliate for the Bay Area, the California Penal Code didn’t allow for the use of the term ‘looting’ to describe the thefts involving large groups of people because, it claimed, the definition didn’t match the act as defined by law. It also cited two individuals it referred to as ‘experts,’ who described the term as being reminiscent of Black people and people of color being associated with the act of looting.”

I’m going to continue tag these as “looting”. I would say that calling the term “racist” is a racist statement itself. It presupposes that certain races are more likely to loot. I don’t care what race you are, if you’re looting, I’m going to call you out on it.

Deal with it, libs.

So Now Travel Restrictions Are Okay

Biden to enforce travel restrictions on 8 South African countries amid concern over new COVID-19 variant | One America News Network (oann.com)

This is what President Joe Biden (D-USA) had to say about travel restrictions when he was Senator Joe Biden (D-PA).

But now they’re okay, I guess.

The Biden administration is placing travel restrictions on several South African countries amid the discovery of a new COVID-19 variant. On Friday, the White House said Biden will restrict travel from eight countries, including South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe. While a timetable for the travel bans has yet to be disclosed, Joe Biden claimed he will listen to what his medical team advises.

Thieves Hit California Apple Store, Make Off With $20,000 Worth Of Loot In ‘Brazen’ Daytime Robbery | The Daily Wire

“Four young men, believed by police to be between the ages of 14 and 18, entered and grabbed the merch before fleeing in what authorities called a ‘brazen daytime burglary’ in broad daylight,” the Daily Mail reported.

“In a brazen daytime burglary in front of customers and staff, the suspects grabbed over $20,000 worth of merchandise from the store and fled the area in an unknown vehicle,” Santa Rosa police said in a statement, according to The Hill.

A group of thieves also hit a Nordstrom store in the Los Angeles area on Wednesday evening, stealing at least seven luxury handbags and assaulting a guard before making a clean getaway.

These were just kids, but they won’t all be. Need to make a show of force to stop these.

Despite Approval Rating Of Just 38%, Legacy Media Pushes ‘Presidential Buzz’ For Mayor Pete | The Daily Wire

Nobody likes Kamala. Not in the administration or out. Mayor Pete is young, good looking, and openly gay. Perfect for the left. He was a disaster on the campaign trail, though. But perhaps a couple years of national seasoning can correct that.

“Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has a higher name recognition and favorability rating than most other Biden Cabinet members, according to a new poll,” the article announced. “The survey, conducted by Morning Consult and Politico, found that 83 percent of registered voters know who Buttigieg is, and 38 percent have a favorable view of the secretary.”

The Hill linked to a Politico Playbook piece, titled “POLITICO Playbook: Buzz grows about Buttigieg 2024.”

I still think they will try to get him in to at least the VP slot before 2024, if they can push Kamala out.

A Symbol for the Entire Presidency

U.S. Presidential Helicopter Lockheed VH-92 Unreliable in Crisis: Pentagon – Bloomberg

“Unreliable in Crisis” – You just described Joe Biden’s Presidency.

The VH-92 helicopter program is a $5 billion, 23-aircraft program to replace the current aging fleet used by the president and other top officials. The previously unpublished testing report, dated Sept. 28, said the aircraft is “operationally effective” for routine “administrative” missions like a run to Camp David or delivering the president to Joint Base Andrews outside Washington for a preplanned trip on Air Force One.

But it wasn’t effective “for the contingency operation mission,” a reference to emergency flights. The “Mission Communication System (MCS) often delayed critical communications at the beginning of contingency missions and did not adequately support timely, continuous and secure communications,” the test office found.

I am sure it will be fixed. And to be fair, I’m mocking the White House, but they didn’t cause the issues here. This chopper has been in design and development for years.

"Against Vaccine Passports" - New UK directory to help customers connect with businesses that stand against passports (reclaimthenet.org)

Now, UK business directory, “Against Vaccine Passports,” is pushing back against the deployment of this invasive tech by making it easy for UK customers to connect with businesses that oppose vaccine passports.

Against Vaccine Passports describes COVID passes as “divisive and discriminatory” and has created the directory so that businesses can “make it clear that vaccine passports have no place in a free, democratic society.”

Its mission is to develop a UK wide business network where customers and businesses who are concerned about the introduction of vaccine passports can support each other.

Good news. We need more of this. Resist, and their control crumbles.

Yes, There’s Another Variant

There will always be another variant.

Oh Joy! Another Covid Variant | Power Line (powerlineblog.com)

It appears doubtful that existing vaccines will be effective against the South African variant:

B.1.1.529 has a spike protein that is drastically different to the one in the original bug that the vaccines are based on, according to the UK Health Security Agency, which is raising some concern about how current jabs will perform against it.

South Africa’s Department of Health also said during a briefing Thursday that the variant contains several mutations associated with increased antibody resistance, which may reduce the effectiveness of current vaccines.

So, the vaccines we have don’t work. The way these vaccines are created, there is great potential for new vaccines very quickly. Could be as soon as 3-4 months.

My own prediction is that covid will soon occupy the biological niche that in recent history has been taken up by what we call influenza, and also perhaps some of the niche occupied by the common cold. In another few years, things will have returned to normal, in that each winter some of us will contract respiratory viruses, and tens of thousands (mostly elderly and already weak) will die. The most important thing, in my opinion, is that we not treat every new covid mutation in hysterical fashion, blighting our people’s lives, needlessly devastating our economy, and above all abusing our children. Such “cures” are worse than the disease.

This is exactly right. However, no one seems to be following the advice of John’s last couple of sentences. Until we do, every new variant, every new spike, will scare us all. We didn’t used to be scared of our own shadows.

Since They Treated It as an Accident, There’s No Need for Continued Investigation

Media Outlets Lose Interest in Waukesha Christmas Parade Massacre as Death Toll Mounts (freebeacon.com)

Prominent media outlets have already lost interest in the vehicular massacre that took place on Sunday at the Waukesha Christmas parade, a Washington Free Beacon analysis has determined.

Darrell Edwards Brooks Jr., 39, allegedly plowed his red Ford SUV into a crowd of parade attendees in the small Wisconsin town, injuring dozens and killing six as of Tuesday, when an eight-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries.

Wednesday's edition of the Washington Post included a brief mention of the mass-death event in the bottom left-hand corner of the front page. The New York Times similarly downplayed the significance of the "6th Death in Wisconsin Crash."

Similar coverage from CNN and other media. They have done their bit. They ruled it an accident, and now they can move on to something else. Nothing to see here. Move along.

“Call It by Its Name #WaukeshaMassacre.”

They can’t. You can bet they would if the races were reversed. But the truth goes against everything they’ve preached to us for decades. So, it must be buried.

Democrats Start Blaming Biden For High Gas Prices, Slam His ‘Policy Band-Aid’ Of Releasing Oil Reserves | The Daily Wire

Democrat lawmakers are starting to blame Democrat President Joe Biden for high gas prices across the country that are threatening the party’s majorities in both chambers of Congress in the upcoming midterm elections.

“There is a variety of contributing impacts, but certainly I think the buck stops with the president,” Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) said in an interview this week. “And I’m proud to be among those legislators on Capitol Hill that continue to ring the alarm bells about how serious this is.”

Well, she’s right. It is precisely President Joe Biden’s (D-USA) actions that have led to the high price of oil and gas. And he could undo most of them with the stroke of a pen.

If the Vaccines Don’t Offer Security, What’s the Point?

WHO warns vaccinated feel 'false sense of security' - UPI.com

WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said during his opening remarks to a media briefing on the pandemic in Geneva on Wednesday that vaccines work but they do not fully prevent the transmission of the virus.

"In many countries and communities, we are concerned about a false sense of security that vaccines have ended the pandemic, and that people who are vaccinated do not need to take any other precautions," he said. "If you are vaccinated, you have a much lower risk of severe disease and death, but you are still at risk of being infected, and of infecting others."

It Wasn’t an Attack. It Was a Rogue Self-Driving Car.

WaPo Roasted After Tweeting ‘Waukesha Tragedy Caused By An SUV’ | The Daily Wire

They should be roasted.

On Wednesday night, The Washington Post, referring to the attack on the Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in which at least six people were killed and scores of others were injured, tweeted, “Here’s what we know so far on the sequence of events that led to the Waukesha tragedy caused by a SUV.”

Here's what we know so far on the sequence of events that led to the Waukesha tragedy caused by a SUV. https://t.co/FWwYFEjits

— The Washington Post (@washingtonpost) November 25, 2021

It wasn’t just the tweet; in the article describing the attack, the Post wrote:

A quarter-mile from the rotary building, at 4:39 p.m., an officer told a dispatcher a maroon Ford Escape “just blew by [him]” at White Rock and Hartwell avenues, the intersection where barricades blocking traffic to the parade were removed just a minute before, according to police audio and time codes provided by Broadcastify. A few moments later, the SUV rammed through the parade participants, killing five and injuring more than 40 people, including children.

Heh. They deleted the Tweet.

But no mention of the driver or his motives. It was just the SUV.

When are we going to get a ban on these assault vehicles?

It definitely was. As I pointed out earlier.

The Media Wants to Make Sure That You Never Think of This as a Domestic Terror Incident

Media Calls Waukesha Fatal Car-Ramming A ‘Crash.’ They Called 2017 Charlottesville Car-Ramming An ‘Attack.’ | The Daily Wire

This is a “crash” not an attack. It was just an accident.

Don’t watch the videos if you believe that. Or maybe you should.

After the horrific brutality in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in which a man rammed his SUV into marchers in a Christmas parade, causing the deaths of at least six people, including a small child and injuries to scores of others, many media outlets eschewed calling what happened an attack, instead using terms such as “parade crash,” or “parade tragedy,” unlike their coverage of the car-ramming at the 2017 Charlottesville rally which they commonly referred to as an “attack.”

Of Waukesha, the Associated Press titled an article, “Child is 6th death in Waukesha parade crash; suspect charged.”

As recently as November 8, the Associated Press referred to the 2017 Charlottesville occurrence when a man rammed his car into what AP called a peaceful group of protesters, killing one woman and dozens of others injured, as a “car attack,” using the title “Woman recalls total ‘terror’ of Charlottesville car attack.”

On Tuesday, CBS News called the Waukesha car-ramming a “deadly Christmas parade crash.”

This is all deliberate. These people are advanced word smiths. Choices like these are rarely random or accidental. They don’t want you to think of it as an attack. If you do, then you’ll start thinking about motive, and they really don’t want you to do that.

Lots of samples at the link. This is one of my favorites:

CNN on Monday: “At least 5 dead in parade tragedy, Waukesha city government confirms.”

CNN March 2019: “Charlottesville car attacker pleads guilty to 29 hate crimes and avoids the death penalty.”

it’s not an accident, just like the “crash” wasn’t.

“By any measure those are extraordinary accomplishments,” Clinton said. “But because of the way we are getting our information today, and because of the lack of gatekeepers and people who have a historic perspective who can help us understand what we are seeing, there is a real vulnerability in the electorate to the kind of demagoguery and disinformation that, unfortunately, the other side is really good at exploiting.”

She and I are in complete agreement. Biden’s achievements are extraordinary.

I thought I made a longer list somewhere, but I can’t find it. Anyway, don’t fret, Hillary. We are all quite aware of Biden’s accomplishments and we are forced to face them and deal with them every single day.

Employer Forces Unvaccinated Employees to Wear Orange Badge – PJ Media

A married father of two and the sole breadwinner in his home, Rothermel tried to work with Brookhaven to keep his job. He is a pro-life Christian who refuses to get a shot that was developed using cells from aborted babies, and he applied for a religious exemption. After making him wait for nearly a month (and leaving him only two weeks until the vaccination deadline), Brookhaven approved Rothermel’s application and told him he could keep his job, but he would be required to get a COVID test weekly.

After Rothermel got his first test, he was given a bright orange card that showed his test date and told it was optional to wear it on his I.D. lanyard. You can guess where this is going. … A week later, after his second COVID test, the bright orange card had become a required accessory, to be worn and displayed by all the dirty unvaxx who worked at the company. And that was the last straw for Rothermel. “I walked into my boss’s office and handed over my resignation letter saying, ‘Too bad. Goodbye.'”

Mandated methods of visually identifying the dirty unvaxx aren’t new. Many businesses make mask-wearing optional for vaccinated employees while the unvaxx are required to wear them, for example. But this is the first time (at least, that I could find) that the unvaxx have been required to wear a glaring caution-colored badge of shame, basically instructing their co-workers to ostricize them.

Just like the Jewish badges of shame in Germany. Seriously, if you can think of any other parallel, let me know. Happy to switch this post.

Evern the Lefties at Google Are Fed Up

Hundreds Of Google Employees Write Letter Opposing Company’s Vax Mandate | The Daily Wire

There’s no way this mandate ever actually gets imposed.

At least 600 Google employees signed and circulated what is being described as a “manifesto” expressing opposition to the company’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate. CNBC reported that the manifesto is “the latest challenge for leadership as it approaches key deadlines for returning workers to offices in person.”

Because Google has more than 100 employees, it would be subjected to the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate, a rule that is being challenged by a number of states and companies, including The Daily Wire.

“[Google] asked its more than 150,000 employees to upload their vaccination status to its internal systems by Dec. 3, whether they plan to come into the office or not, according to internal documents viewed by CNBC,” the outlet reported.

Yes, 600 out of 150,000 is rounding error. But how many are upset that didn’t sign? How many will be more upset next month than they are today? This kind of thing snowballs.

CNN: ‘The Credibility Of The’ Steele Dossier ‘Has Significantly Diminished.’ Network Now Has ‘Legitimate Questions’ | The Daily Wire

Remember, you used this to try to bring down a Presidency. Now, three years later you think it’s okay to just say “whoops” and move on? This is the reason people were screaming “impeachment” on the day President Trump took office. Do I need to remind you of the Steele Dossier hysteria?

These videos show the hysteria you tried to drum up. And it was all based upon a lie.

Now you have “legitimate questions”.

“[F]ive years later, the credibility of the dossier has significantly diminished,” wrote Marshall Cohen in an article posted on CNN’s website last Thursday.

“Legitimate questions are now being raised about the dossier — how it was used by Democrats as a political weapon against Trump, how it was handled by the FBI and US intelligence agencies, and how it was portrayed in the mainstream media,” belatedly stated the 3,820-word article, titled “The Steele dossier: A reckoning.”

In fact, federal sources shredded the credibility of the dossier years ago. Robert Mueller noted in 2019 that his “investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.” Inspector General Michael Horowitz concluded in his December 2019 report that the dossier had “zero” corroboration. We now know that as early as December 2016, before Trump took office, Obama administration Assistant Attorney General Bruce Ohr expressed doubts because the report’s primary subsource, Igor Danchenko, lived in Washington, D.C. Danchencko has since been indicted for lying to federal officials about his sources

General Mills To Raise Prices On Yogurt, Cereal, Other Foods Due To Inflation | The Daily Wire

General Mills (GIS) notified retail customers that it’s raising prices in mid-January on hundreds of items across dozens of brands. They include Annie’s, Progresso, Yoplait, Fruit Roll-Ups, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charm’s, Wheaties, Reese’s Puffs, Trix and more, according to letters General Mills sent to at least one major regional wholesale supplier last week.

For some items, prices will go up by around 20% beginning next year.

The wholesaler shared General Mills’ letters with CNN Business on the condition of anonymity to protect the company’s relationship with its suppliers. A leader at the company said it plans to push along all of the increases to its grocery and convenience store customers. He expects they will then pass them down to shoppers.

Along with General Mills, Tyson Foods — the second-largest meat and poultry producer in the United States — is raising prices to deal with the “accelerating and unprecedented inflation” threatening all of its business units.

Wonderful. But according to Team Biden, this is only a problem for the rich. I don’t know about you, but I doubt that I’m getting a 20% raise next year.

Supply Chain Be Damned: Biden Will Require Canadian Truck Drivers Get Vaccinated To Cross Border | The Daily Wire

We are not in a situation where people are just dropping dead in the middle of the street and have to be picked up later by people with carts full of corpses.

Despite the fact that the supply chain across the United States continues to hurt American consumers, starting on January 22, the Biden administration will require nonresident truck drivers, as well as government and emergency response officials, to be fully vaccinated in order to cross the U.S. border.

“A senior administration official said the requirement, which the White House previewed in October, brings the rules for essential travelers in line with those that took effect earlier this month for leisure travelers, when the U.S. reopened its borders to fully vaccinated individuals,” the Star-Tribune reported.

I Suspect Two Employees of Baymont Inns & Suites Are Directly Affected by This

Granny and granddaughter kicked out of hotel room by police after leaving 3-star review (reclaimthenet.org)

Unfortunately, the police didn’t really have a choice. They were doing their job.

The jerk who called the police had a choice, and I suspect he’s paying for his decision now.

A 63-year-old woman said that she and her six-year-old granddaughter were kicked out of hotel in the middle of the night for leaving a 3 out of 5 stars online review. They had to walk a third of a mile to a nearby hotel in their pajamas.

Susan Leger had traveled with her granddaughter to Helen, Georgia, in September where they booked into the 2-and-a-half star Baymont Inn & Suites. Shortly after getting to their room, Hotels.com sent her an email asking for a review.

Leger gave the hotel a 3-star rating because the property was “run down,” the pool was closed, and the toilet in their room did not flush properly. Shortly after submitting the review, the manager, called asking her to leave or he would call the police.

Oh, I was wrong. it affected more people at Baymont than just that.

Hotels.com has since suspended Baymont as it investigates the issue.

There are all kinds of people scrambling to do CYA on this one.

Enes Kanter Slams Professional Sports Leagues For Not Speaking Out On China: ‘They’re Scared’ | The Daily Wire

I can think of only two reasons they wouldn’t be standing up to the Chinese. And scared is the one that puts them in the best light.

“You know, you see, there’s so many athletes, so many actors, you know, so many singers and rappers out there,” Kanter said. “They’re scared. They’re scared to say a word because they care too much about their money. They care too much about their endorsement deals. They care too much about what the teams that they play for are going to say. But, you know, they should know one thing: It should be morals and principles over money. It shouldn’t be the opposite way.”

“And it’s so important, especially athletes, because there are so many young generation out there are watching us and idolizing us,” he continued. “So, if we don’t stand up against this dictatorships who will? So, to me it was really important. And I do feel alone, yes, because so many, you know, people out there are scared to say a word because they care too much about the business side of it. But to me, human rights are way more important than everything you can offer me.”

He has courage. I hope he can create a movement, actually. But I doubt it. It’s funny, the libs of 50 years ago, maybe even 20 years ago, would have been on his side. But that’s not what “progressive” means anymore.

Good luck, Enes.

AOC Rails Against ‘Excessive Bail’ After Waukesha Massacre (freebeacon.com)

Maybe the day after a guy destroys a parade and kills several people after being let out on very low bail isn’t the best day to go here.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) on Monday called for a "federal intervention" against the use of "excessive bail" just one day after the horrific attack in Waukesha, Wis., allegedly committed by a felon who was out on an "inappropriately low bail amount."

In a letter sent to five New York City district attorneys, Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D., N.Y.), and Rep. Jamie Raskin (D., Md.) demanded details on the bail conditions used by prosecutors. They alleged that the use of cash bail contributes to overcrowding in New York's correctional facilities, particularly Rikers Island.

"Condemning thousands of individuals to languish in an environment plagued by persistent overcrowding and mounting violence as they await trial is not acceptable, and risks violating the federal civil rights of these individuals," the letter from the lawmakers reads. "If these conditions are not addressed, federal intervention may be necessary to protect detainees from additional harm."

Less than 24 hours prior, Darrell Edward Brooks Jr. allegedly drove his red Ford SUV into a Christmas parade in downtown Waukesha, a suburb of Milwaukee. The rampage killed 5 people and injured at least 48 others, with many of the victims requiring intense care at the nearby hospital. Brooks, whom police have identified as the principal suspect, was released earlier this month after he posted $1,000 bail. He had been arrested for allegedly beating his girlfriend and hitting her with his car in a gas station parking lot.

Or maybe she thinks it’s the perfect time. It’s been clear for a while that her mind works backwards.
