If one were to spend one million dollars a day from January 1, 0000 until now, one would still not have spent 1 trillion dollars.
As of 3/30/2009, it works out to something close to $758,485,000,000. We would have to spend $1,000,000 a day for almost 2740 years to get to a trillion.
