Personal Responsibility vs. Public Responsibility

Conservatives believe in the individual. They believe in personal responsibility.

Liberals believe in government. They believe in public responsibility. They engage in doublethink every day of their lives. They honestly believe that a strong government allows more individual freedoms while the opposite is unequivocally true.

What does that all mean for America? Take a look at the video below and you’ll see.

If liberals can’t even clean up after themselves (that’s a public responsibility), how can they possibly clean up government? They can’t. They don’t take any personal responsibility.

You see this every day when the left has a new boogeyman. Let’s go through the list of some of the evils that liberals remind us of every day.

  • George W. Bush
  • Sarah Palin
  • Rush Limbaugh
  • Glenn Beck
  • Fox News
  • Republicans
  • The Koch Brothers
  • John Boehner
  • The Cambridge Police

With liberals, it’s never “their fault”. The stimulus has utterly failed. Democrats have controlled Congress for four years. They’ve had super majorities in Congress and the White House for two years. And it’s still the fault of the Republicans and President George W. Bush (R-USA) that we’re in this economic state.

It’s never the fault of Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT) or Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA-04) who denied for years that there were any issues with Frannie and Freddie, and who in fact consistently tried to make the impending mortgage crisis worse.

There’s plenty of corruption in the Republican Party, but never the Democrat. Attacks on Charles Rangel (D-NY-15) are racist, as are those against Maxine Waters(D-CA-35).

The video above shows clearly the differences between liberals and conservatives. If you take the time, you can see the differences in the other things that I mentioned, but this is clearly a case where a picture paints a thousand words.

Guess what, liberals? It’s not always “the other guy’s fault”, or “the other guy’s problem”. If you want to fix things, you have to take responsibility for your actions. You have to take responsibility for your party.

As the Republicans have learned via the Tea Party, sometimes this means cleaning your own house first.

We’ve made a good start on cleaning our house. Democrats, you’re on notice. In 30 days, we’re going to clean up yours.

The flood is coming.
