President Obama, You Go Too Far

Ok, now I’m mad.

President Barack Obama (D-USA) has a history of inserting subtle but still racially charged phrases into his speeches. Phrases designed to strike a chord with his black (sorry, I don’t do the whole hyphen American thing—deal with it) followers.

But today he went over the line.

Republican leadership should be demanding an apology for this.

He said Republicans had driven the economy into a ditch and then stood by and criticized while Democrats pulled it out. Now that progress has been made, he said, "we can't have special interests sitting shotgun. We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don't mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back."

This is clearly designed to remind voters of a time when blacks had to sit in the back.

Well, guess what, Mr. President? Those days are long past. Although if not for Republicans, that might not be the case. Your own Democratic party never had the guts to take on racism, and still advances it every day when it suits their ends.

But not this time.

I’m not going to let you this time.

Two can play at this game, champ. I bet my line is better than yours.

We’re not going to sit in the back any longer, Mr. President. Just like Rosa Parks, we’ve had enough.

Who’s the oppressor now, Mr. President? Who wants us to give in? Who is making us endure? Who is it that thinks that common Americans are “bitter clingers” and treats us like second class citizens.

You, Mr. President. Actually, I’m being kind. You treat non-citizens better than us.

It’s bad enough you want to destroy my country, Mr. President, but being President doesn’t give you the right to use these bigoted and racist themes.

You, sir, are a disgrace to the office you now hold.

In 8 days I’m going to cast my vote, and it won’t be for any Democrats. The flood is coming, Mr. President.

And you’re in the way.
