And when asked, Klobuchar left the door open to packing the court to get what the left wants – but acknowledges that it’s too late for this particular case.

Pressed on if she is more open to packing the court amid the abortion conversation, Klobuchar said she has “always been open to looking at the numbers of justices on the Court,” but contended that “most sane route to gets done right now would be to bring this up before the U.S. Senate to codify Roe v. Wade into law.”

There is no way that the Senate gets 60 votes to block a filibuster on this bill. And the Democrat “majority” in the Senate is definitely not a majority when it comes to abortion on demand. Once again, we find Joe Manchin, a Democrat who would like to keep his Senate seat in a deep red state, being the stumbling block to all of the progressive left’s hopes and dreams of killing for convenience’s sake. So while Klobuchar is busy paying lip service to the left, she knows perfectly well that the WHPA is dead on arrival in the Senate.

I think this is overly optimistic. There’s definitely not 60 votes for such a bill, but there might be 60 votes for cloture. I think there’s almost certainly 50+1 votes. And the Democrats might decide that this is the hill to die on for killing the filibuster once and for all.

Frankly, this is the route the left should pursue. I personally don’t think the Court is going to overturn Roe, but I don’t think the left is going to be happy with the decision, regardless. It seems clear that the Court will continue to allow more and more “reasonable” restrictions upon abortion, tearing up Roe bit by bit rather than overturning it explicitly.

I Was Thinking About This Just Today

For years, one of the arguments from the left has been that men shouldn’t participate in the debate about abortion, because men can’t get pregnant. And Whoopi falls into this same trap.

Why do I call it a trap, when it’s been the standard argument for so long?

Because the new argument is that men can get pregnant. Get with the times.

Earlier this year, Twitter actually suspended a politician in Spain for saying that “a man cannot get pregnant.”  We recently learned that a pregnant man emoji would soon be coming to smartphones. Back in October, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued an “urgent health advisory” in which they urged “pregnant people” to get vaccinated against COVID-19, because, apparently, women aren’t the only ones who can get pregnant… according to radical left-wing gender theory.

This is similar to the same pickle that J.K. Rowling finds herself in. She’s trying to defend women’s rights. But by doing so, she’s portrayed as anti-trans. She’s not anti-trans. She’s just a feminist, pure and simple.

But you can’t be a feminist anymore if that means that your views of the need to uplift women conflict with the views of others of the need to uplift trans people.

So when Whoopi goes on a rant about men not being able to have babies, she’s doing the same thing.

The article here is tongue-in-cheek, but i am definitely not being facetious. This is the logic pretzel that the left has twisted themselves into. I don’t know how they get out of it without the help of M.C. Escher.

By a 218-211 vote, the House passed a bill Friday permitting and “codifying” the right to abort unborn children on demand for all nine months of a pregnancy.

Every Democrat except for Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) — who was quickly vilified by the hard left — voted for the bill, and every Republican opposed it, cementing the battle over abortion.

So much of what the Democrats do these days makes me physically ill. My stomach tightens when I read stuff like this, and I feel like I’m going to vomit. What has happened to people that we feel like something like this is not only tolerable, but desirable??

Durbin, who is chairman of the committee, accused the high court of abusing its so-called "shadow docket," a term used to describe expedited decisions made outside the regular docket and without oral arguments.

The Supreme Court voted 5-4 late Wednesday against an emergency application for relief filed by abortion providers in Texas who sought to halt Texas' new law.

Well, actually you are imposing it on people, but we’ll let that one go for the moment.

It’s a basic tenet of the Catholic faith that your relationship with God begins at the moment of conception. There’s an important distinction there. They don’t say “life”, they say your “relationship with God”. The other basic tenet that comes into play here is that no one other than God has the right to terminate that relationship. Not you, not a doctor, not anyone.

To be a Catholic means accepting both of these statements as true. There are many other faiths that don’t require you to accept these statements. Catholicism does.

If you do not, then you are not Catholic. You cannot call yourself Catholic.

Biden needs to stop claiming something that isn’t true and needs to find himself a new Church.

I realize there must be exceptions:

• The father cannot be found
• The father cannot or is not willing to support the child
• The mother’s life is in danger

Other than that, the father deserves input into this. It is his child too.

“My child, my choice.” should be the slogan.

Senate Democrats defeated legislation Wednesday that would have protected infants who survive abortions.

The Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act failed because nearly every Senate Democrat voted against the measure, which requires doctors to provide medical care for newborns who survive abortion attempts. The act received 52 votes, falling 8 short of the 60-vote threshold necessary to break the filibuster. Democratic senators Joe Manchin (W. Va.) and Bob Casey (Pa.) crossed the aisle to vote for the legislation.

There just aren’t words to describe how offensive and horrendous this is.

A few years ago, this position was so extreme that then Illinois State Senator Barack Obama (D) had to hide his support for it by voting “present”. It is now mainstream in the Democrat party.

I am physically ill.
