D.C.'s assistant police chief this week claimed that as an 18-year-old cadet she was told to get an abortion or she would be fired, according to reports from NBC News.
Chanel Dickerson is one of 10 women who are either current or former Black, female D.C. police officers filing a class-action lawsuit against the city's Metropolitan Police Department with claims that they were discriminated against based on their sex and race.
“My choice to have a baby was personal and it should’ve been mine alone and not for an employer ultimatum,” Dickerson had said during a community meeting, as reported by NBC.
There’s really only one word for this.

Since Monday, some Instagram users have been receiving a notification that they will no longer be able to use “link stickers,” a feature used by many users to post links to external sites.
Some users told Reclaim The Net that they had received several warnings about sharing “misinformation” before the message appeared that they would soon no longer be about to link outside of Instagram.
So, if you get tagged with this, you can’t post links to external sites on your Instagram account.
Why not?

“Starting October 25, you will no longer have access to the link sticker because you have shared content that violates our Community Guidelines,” the message Instagram is sending to some users states.
There’s no option to appeal the censorship.
Arbitrary punishments with no way to appeal don’t seem like a good business model to me, but what do I know?
So, why are we forcing the vaccine on people who have already had the disease?
Isn’t that rather unscientific of us?
And why aren’t we allowed to talk about #NaturalImmunity on social media?

I hate this man. I truly do. I can’t believe it’s not even been a year. I hope the country is still salvageable when he’s replaced. I have my doubts, but we’ll have to find a way to wait him out.
Here’s an idea. They were significantly lower when you entered office. Why not just undo everything you’ve done that has caused them to go up? Bingo. Problem solved.
President Joe Biden said during a CNN town hall event on Thursday night that there is not much he can do to lower soaring gas prices, which have reportedly reached as high a $7.59 in at least one town in California.
“My guess is you’ll start to see gas prices come down as we get by — going into the winter — I mean, excuse me, into next year, in 2022,” Biden continued. “I don’t see anything that’s going to happen in the meantime that’s going to significantly reduce gas prices.”
“I must tell you, I don’t have a near-term answer,” Biden later added.
