Yes. Yes, It Is.

Colorado's Democratic governor: I'm not mandating masks. The COVID emergency is over. – HotAir

The emergency is over. You know, public health [officials] don’t get to tell people what to wear; that’s just not their job. Public health [officials] would say to always wear a mask because it decreases flu and decreases [other airborne illnesses]. But that’s not something that you require; you don’t tell people what to wear. You don’t tell people to wear a jacket when they go out in winter and force them to [wear it]. If they get frostbite, it’s their own darn fault. If you haven’t been vaccinated, that’s your choice. I respect that. But it’s your fault when you’re in the hospital with COVID.

This is all true. And you’d be an idiot to deny it.

Of course, this is from HotAir, and it’s by AllahPundit, so he makes some attempt to deny it.

See above comment as to what constitutes idiocy.

Well, Yes, We Wouldn’t Want to Hurt Their Feelings

Sex Offenders in Colorado Will No Longer Be Called 'Sex Offenders' – PJ Media

Instead, rapists, flashers, peeping toms, and other perverts will be called an “Adult who commits sexual offenses.” According to Denver Post writer Alex Burness, “Those who supported this change feel the ‘sex offender’ label is not nuanced enough and can impede rehabilitation.”

Well, I don’t feel it should be “nuanced” at all. However, if it truly is a factor in impeding rehabilitation (which I doubt), then it may be worth exploring. Sex offenders have the highest recidivism rate of all violent criminals (most likely to be repeat offenders). We need to find some way to keep these people from committing more crimes.

Personally, I’d be in favor of locking them up until they’re no longer able to commit these offenses, but if rehab is really possible, we should be doing everything we can to enable it.

At PJ Media, they’re less forgiving of this change than I (and I’m not all that forgiving):

Stupidity appears to be at epidemic levels in the Colorado justice system.

Last year, lawmakers considered a bill that would have, among other things, eliminated the term “sexually violent predator” from statutes but they ended up pulling it. Meanwhile, a task force charged with sentencing reform is considering asking the legislature to change terms like “defendant,” “convict,” and “felon” to “justice-involved people.”

And the irony of ironies: the Colorado Sex Offender Management Board won’t be able to drop “sex offender” from its name. Only the state legislature can vote to alter the board’s name.

Still seems simpler to lock ‘em up and throw away the key.

Attempted breach of Ohio county election network draws FBI and state scrutiny – HotAir

Federal and state investigators are examining an attempt to breach an Ohio county’s election network that bears striking similarities to an incident in Colorado earlier this year, when government officials helped an outsider gain access to the county voting system in an effort to find fraud.

Data obtained in both instances were distributed at an August “cyber symposium” on election fraud hosted by MyPillow executive Mike Lindell, an ally of former president Donald Trump who has spent millions of dollars promoting false claims that the 2020 election was rigged.

I’m sure they were just doing it for fun. There was no intent to cause any election fraud here. And the fact that the same thing has occurred in both Ohio and Colorado is not at all worrisome. No need to suspect that this might be part of an organized effort to take down multiple states.

Everything will be fine. Don’t worry.

Colorado’s Democrat Governor Signs Executive Order To Turn Away UNVACCINATED From Hospitals (lifezette.com)

YHGTBFKM.

Colorado Governor Jared Polis (D) signed an executive order this week that allows hospitals to turn away those who are unvaccinated against COVID-19.

Polis’ order reportedly gives health care professionals the authority to prioritize crisis care under the direction of the state health department.

“If you are unvaccinated, a regular trip to the grocery store, a night out to dinner are more dangerous than they have been at any point during this pandemic,” Polis said, according to NBC News. “The delta variant is brutally effective at seeking out the unvaccinated, like a laser-guided missile.”

Pretty sure this is illegal. Absolutely sure it’s immoral.
