Not an Encouraging Response

Milley Pressed On Whether U.S. Will Defend Taiwan From China: ‘We’re Just Interested In A Peaceful Outcome’ | The Daily Wire

China is interested in a peaceful outcome also, but probably not the same one that Taiwan wants.

“What is the U.S. commitment to Taiwan?” Holt asked.

“Well, we have, as you know, we have the Taiwan Relations Act and the three communiques that go with it,” Milley responded. “They come into being in the, during the Nixon administration. Those are still the U.S. government’s policy and it’s really an issue of ambiguity. But what we want with the U.S. government’s policy is, is that whatever issues Taiwan and the People’s Republic of China have, they resolve them peacefully, in accordance with the will of the people of the island of Taiwan and the people of China. We’re just interested in a peaceful outcome.”

If I were Taiwanese, I would be very concerned out the word choice here. It is not anywhere close to a strong defense of the people of Taiwan.

Good Question

Tom Cotton To General Milley: ‘Why Haven’t You Resigned?’ | The Daily Wire

Cotton later blasted Milley, saying, “General Milley, I can only conclude that your advice about staying in Afghanistan was rejected. I’m shocked to learn that your advice wasn’t sought until August 25 on staying past the August 31 deadline. I understand that you’re the principal military adviser, that you advise but you don’t decide, the president decides, but if all this is true, General Milley, why haven’t you resigned?”

All of us would like to know that.

The General’s answer?

Milley answered, “Senator, as a senior military officer, resigning is a really serious thing. It’s a political act if I’m resigning in protest. My job is to provide advice. My statutory responsibility is to provide legal advice or best military advice to the president. And that’s what the law is. The president doesn’t have to agree with that advice; he doesn’t have to make those decisions just because we’re generals. And it would be an incredible act of political defiance for a commissioned officer to just resign because my advice was not taken.

It would be an act of political defiance, but hardly an “incredible” one. In fact, this has happened on more than one occasion. An honorable man would have resigned if put in the position he claims he was in.

But we already know that Milley is without honor.

People That Think That Last Year’s Riots Were No Big Deal, but the January 6 Protest Were an ”Insurrection” Are Completely Disconnected From Reality

No surprise that Traitor Milley is one of them.

Milley told Trump the George Floyd protests were no big deal (nypost.com)

The under-fire general — accused of going behind President Donald Trump’s back to contact his Chinese counterpart — wildly downplayed the riots when Trump raised fears they were “burning America down,” according to Fox News excerpts from the new book, “Peril.”

“Mr. President, they are not burning it down,” he told the alarmed commander-in-chief, according to authors Bob Woodward and Robert Costa.

“They used spray paint, Mr. President, that’s not an insurrection,” he told Trump.

Compare and contrast:

But when the Jan. 6 Capitol riot happened, Milley believed it “was indeed a coup attempt and nothing less than ‘treason,'” the book said.

He feared that Trump might be looking for a “Reichstag moment” and believed the attack “so unimagined and savage, [it] could be a dress rehearsal for something larger,” the authors wrote.

How can anyone possibly have these two completely incompatible beliefs?

Anyone that does, should seek professional help.

Quickly.
