The Democratic Party Supports Slavery

Maybe it’s time they dug out all their old white robes and hoods again.

House Democrats Won’t Schedule Vote on Bill to Sanction Chinese Slave Labor (freebeacon.com)

Democratic leaders are walking back their promise to hold a vote this week in the House on legislation that would sanction China’s use of slave labor and ban the import of goods made using it, according to the legislative chamber’s vote schedule.

Democratic House Rules chair Jim McGovern (D., Mass.) promised last week after a meeting with Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) that the House would hold a vote this week on the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, a long-stalled human rights bill that has emerged as a flashpoint in U.S.-China relations. While McGovern indicated on Thursday that the bill would proceed, it is not listed on the House’s official floor schedule.

Stupid to believe they ever had any plans to keep their promises. They don’t care about slavery in China.

Democrats in both the House and Senate blocked the bill last week from being included in the annual defense spending package, sparking accusations the Biden administration is quietly lobbying congressional allies to oppose the measure. Climate czar John Kerry, among others, is reportedly concerned the bill would upset China at a critical juncture in the administration’s efforts to ink a climate accord with the CCP.

I think eliminating genocide and slavery is a bit more important than making sure we get solar panels from the CCP.

The ongoing delay is fueling accusations that Democrats are slow-playing the bill at the Biden administration’s request. The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act—which would prohibit imports from the Xinjiang region of China, where Uyghurs have been subjected to forced labor, mass surveillance, and detention camps—passed the Senate unanimously in July but has stalled in the House, even though it is widely supported by Republicans and the human rights advocacy community.

I don’t care where the request is coming from. Whoever it is needs to be drawn and quartered. This is pathetically weak on our part. Even the bill isn’t that strong, but at least it’s something. To show that we don’t even have the strength to pass this wimpy bill is telling the Chinese that they can walk all over us and we won’t do anything.

Are we a Superpower or not? I’m beginning to think the answer is “not”.

More on Biden and Kerry’s Cowardice on China

Senate Dems Blocking Measure To Prohibit Imports Made With Chinese Slave Labor (freebeacon.com)

Now they’ve got Schumer and co. involved also.

This is a disgrace.

The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, a bill sponsored by Sen. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) that has long been circulating in Congress and is backed by the human rights community and opponents of China's forced labor camps, was included in a package of 25 amendments to the annual defense authorization bill, according to a list distributed by Senate leadership on Wednesday.

But Democrats excluded the amendment from a vote late Wednesday night, after members of the party privately objected to it, sources told the Free Beacon. Earlier in the evening, Democrats tried to use a procedural mechanism that would have allowed a vote on the act but stripped it from the final authorization bill, according to a hotline memo from Senate leadership.

The pushback from Senate Democrats comes amid efforts by senior Biden administration officials to quietly kill the bill over concerns it will hinder the White House's climate agenda and limit solar panel imports from China.

Solar panels?

The Uyghurs are suffering genocide and slavery and we’re worried about getting our solar panels?

Here’s an idea. Let’s make our solar panels in the United States and tell the Chinese to go to blazes.

How weak can we possibly be? Why should any world leader respect this administration?

I go to a website often where I’m asked the question of whether or not I’m embarrassed that Joe Biden is my President. Heck, I’m embarrassed that Joe Biden and I are the same species.

And they’re playing political games on the whole thing. See if you can follow the twisted logic here.

The anti-slavery act has "been on the list of amendments Senate Democrats proposed the Senate to vote on that the Republicans have been objecting to … so you should ask the Senate Republicans why they're blocking the vote," Schumer spokesman Justin Goodman told the Free Beacon.

But in a floor speech later Wednesday night, Schumer claimed that the anti-slavery amendment was a "poison pill" that couldn't be included in the authorization bill because of arcane procedural requirements.

"If [Rubio's] amendment were on the bill, it would automatically kill the bill, because it would be what's called ‘blue-slipped' in the House, which means any bill that produces revenue must start in the House," Schumer said. "The Rubio amendment is a poison pill in the sense that it blows up the bill."

The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act passed the Senate unanimously in July but has stalled in the House. Rubio reintroduced the bill as an amendment to the upcoming National Defense Authorization Act, in an attempt to force the House to finally vote on it.

Democrats blocking a Senate vote on the anti-slavery act "avoids the House having to touch this issue," a senior aide to Rubio told the Free Beacon.

"[House Democratic leadership has] sat on this bill since July anyway, so clearly they don't want to touch it. And this would avoid them having to strip it out … or voting to approve it, which they clearly don't want to do," said the aide.

“We support it in the Senate, but it’s the Republicans fault.”

“We support it in the Senate, but it would be ‘blue slipped’ in the House.”

“We’ve already passed a bill with this in it, and it’s waiting in the House.”

Sounds like Senator Marco Rubio (R=FL) just wants someone to tell House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA-11) to get off her bony a** and bring this to a vote, so he’s trying to put it in a bill that she’ll be required to bring to the floor.

John Kerry Is a Chinese Puppet

If you can’t support ending Uyghur slave labor, you have no business being in any position in the U.S. government. I don’t care what your other goals are.

Don’t Worry Xi, I’m Sure Joe Gets the Message Loud & Clear

Chinese Regime Tells Biden to Reverse Trump’s ‘Dangerous Practice’ of Supporting Taiwan (theepochtimes.com)

Top Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials have implored the administration to roll back Trump’s tough-on-China policies, focus on cooperation on issues such as climate change, and not to “interfere” in what the regime dubs “red line” issues, including its human rights abuses against Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang, the crackdown in Hong Kong, and military aggression toward Taiwan.

Wang called the CCP’s claim to Taiwan an “insurmountable red line,” an issue about which the regime “has no room for compromise.” The regime has vowed to bring Taiwan under its fold, which split from the mainland when the CCP took power in 1949, by force if necessary.

He urged the Biden administration to “completely change the previous administration’s dangerous practices of ‘crossing the line’ and ‘playing with fire,’” in relation to Taiwan.

This is a major test for President Joe Biden (D-USA) and his administration. One that he seems likely to fail. We must continue to stand firm on these issues. Our support of Taiwan must not waiver, and we must work even harder to end the suffering of the Uyghurs. To do otherwise is to mock everything that America is all about.

It’s time, Joe. The eyes of the world are watching.

Bravery & Cowardice in One Post

Canadian Parliament Votes Unanimously To Recognize China's Genocide - Washington Free Beacon

Good. I wish our own government would do something to react to the genocide of the Uyghurs.

A resolution in Canada's parliament to declare China’s human-rights abuses against Uighur Muslims a genocide passed unanimously on Monday.

The 266-0 vote opens the door to further policy action from the Canadian government

And it passed unanimously. Some things transcend politics and party.

Or at least it should. From the same article:

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and most of his cabinet declined to attend the vote. One cabinet member, foreign affairs minister Marc Garneau, abstained on behalf of the government.

Trudeau previously objected to the use of the term "genocide" to describe the mass incarceration and coercive population control ongoing in western China, saying the issue warrants further study.

That’s just sickening. Frankly the kind of cowardly behavior that I would expect from our own President Joe Biden (D-USA). Just when I thought there was hope for Canada.

We Used to Say “Never Again” and “Never Forget” About this Sort of Thing

Now we say, “different cultural norms”. Have I mentioned that I hate this man?

I think that Nazi comparisons are way over-used, but here we see China military literally loading Uyghurs into trains and sending them away. And we see the President of the United States not caring.

I am truly appalled at what my country has become.
