Republican And Democratic Lawmakers Urge SEC To Examine Ben & Jerry’s Israel Boycott | The Daily Wire

Four members of the House of Representatives asked the Securities and Exchange Commission to examine Ben & Jerry’s halt on ice cream sales in certain parts of Israel.

As The Daily Wire reported earlier this year, Ben & Jerry’s — which often endorses left-leaning policies — decided to stop selling its products in East Jerusalem and the West Bank. The company, wholly owned by Unilever yet retaining its own Board of Directors, said that it is “inconsistent with our values” to sell in “Occupied Palestinian Territory.”

Ben & Jerry are scum.

But you can’t force a company to sell in a market they don’t want to be in. They can take their fat-filled gross ice cream and sell it to people elsewhere who have no sense of taste.

The West Bank is fortunate. They can replace the Ben & Jerry stores with something that sells ice cream that actually tastes good.

House Dems to Introduce Resolution to Condemn Israel, Praise Terrorist Palestinian Groups – PJ Media

Perhaps this will push them a little closer.

A contingent of House Democrats plans to introduce a resolution urging the Biden administration to condemn Israel while also supporting six Palestinian groups that are designated as terrorist organizations by Israel, the United States, and the European Union.

Rep. Betty McCollum (D., Minn.) plans to introduce the resolution, which, unsurprisingly, will be co-sponsored by “Squad” members Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.), Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.), Ayanna Pressley (D., Mass.), and Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.), and several other House Democrats.

“Among the groups backed in the Democratic resolution are the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, which is designated as a terrorist group by the United States and the European Union,” the Washington Free Beacon reports. “Also included is the Union of Agricultural Work Committees, which had funding cut from it in 2020 after the group’s leadership was arrested for murdering a 17-year-old Israeli.”

The resolution by House Democrats celebrates the groups for the “value and importance” of their “courageous work,” while also condemning Israel for its supposedly “repressive act designed to criminalize and persecute important Palestinian human rights organizations.” The resolution also calls on Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken to condemn Israel’s “authoritarian and anti-democratic act of repression” and support the six terrorism-tied organizations.

The “courageous work” of terrorists. That’s rich.

As I’ve said before, anti-Semitism has always been strong in the Democratic party, but they used to mostly keep it under wraps. It was one of those open secrets that no one ever talked about. But now it’s out in the open and on display without any attempt to disguise it.

President Biden is reportedly planning to unilaterally impose the opening of a U.S. consulate for Palestinians in Jerusalem despite the Israeli government’s opposition, with some members of Israel’s Foreign Ministry calling the move an “introduction to the division of Jerusalem.”

This is completely wrong, and can’t be done without the permission of the country containing Jerusalem, i.e. Israel.

Having two diplomatic delegations in one city means the division of Jerusalem. There is no other possible meaning. It is a finger in Israel’s eye. If the Americans take such a unilateral measure, it will not only be a violation of the Vienna Convention, but also an American message that the great United States is not capable of respecting its most loyal partners. It is liable to have a very strong effect on relations with the Americans. …

There are no words to describe the size of the catastrophe if we do not act to prevent this. As soon as the United States unilaterally opens a consulate for the Palestinians, other countries could take similar measures, and then we will have lost the ability to stop such a process in the future.

Sometimes you need a word stronger than “NO”.

Top Democrat Admits Forces In Her Party Have ‘Desire To Attack’ Anything ‘Related To State Of Israel’ | The Daily Wire

Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) admitted on Tuesday that a sizable number of Democrats are constantly on the look out for ways to attack the state of Israel.

Slotkin made the remarks on social media after Democrat leaders removed a provision from a short-term government spending bill to help fund Israel’s Iron Dome which protects its citizens from terrorist attacks like the ones out of Gaza earlier this year.

It wasn’t long ago that anti-Semitism was at least publicly disavowed. It is now a requirement for advancement in the Democrat party.
