I Admit That There’s Part Of Me That Finds This Humorous

Georgia House Votes To Strip Delta Of $35 Million Tax Credit For Flipping On Election Law Support | The Daily Wire

But governments should not be taking punitive actions against corporations just for exercising their freedom of speech. That’s a good way to lose business and for your constituents to lose their jobs. Not smart.

Thumbs down.

“They like our public policy when we’re doing things that benefit them,” House Speaker David Ralston said. “You don’t feed a dog that bites your hand. You got to keep that in mind sometimes.”

The measure stalled in the Senate where lawmakers were uncomfortable with escalating the fight and others did not want to punish Delta while it is recovering from business hits taken during the pandemic. The hesitancy frustrated some GOP lawmakers, according to the Journal-Constitution.

At least cooler heads prevailed in the Senate.

More Of What They’re Hiding

BREAKING: Project Veritas video reveals makeshift migrant detention facility under BRIDGE | The Post Millennial

Watch the video. Try not to be sick.

The video footage shows migrants, including children, living outdoors in an open-air holding facility where they are separated by makeshift fences. The migrants can be seen sleeping on the dirt ground with space blankets for warmth.

The facility is located underneath the Anzalduas International Bridge, which connects the United States to Mexico.

According to a Project Veritas press release, "[these] corrosive conditions continue to create instability at the Southern Border; however, the Biden Administration has consistently responded to the issue by denying a crisis exists."

Well, I’d call it a crisis. If the President can’t or won’t do anything about this, then he needs to resign.

This is horrible. I can’t believe we would let this happen in America.

FACT: Higher Corporate Taxes Mean Lower Wages & Benefits

Five Visuals that Explain Why Higher Corporate Income Tax Rates Are Bad for America | International Liberty (wordpress.com)

Mitchell does a much better job of explaining this than I ever could, so read the whole thing. But here’s a couple key points.

Well, that’s pretty stark. But for those of you who don’t get it:

Decades of experience have led me to conclude that many folks on the left support class-warfare tax policy because they are primarily motivated by a spiteful desire to punish success rather than provide upward mobility for the poor.

As I said, read the whole thing.

Note That The Extortion Scheme Doesn’t Mean The Allegations Are False

Documents detail wild alleged $25M Gaetz extortion scheme | Washington Examiner

On Tuesday, the New York Times reported that the Justice Department is investigating whether Gaetz had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old and paid her to travel with him. Gaetz has called the report "totally false." Gaetz told Axios that his lawyers told him that he "was not a target but a subject of an investigation regarding sexual conduct with women."

The Florida Republican countered the report on Twitter and in statements to Axios and Fox News with a claim that his family is being extorted for $25 million and that the people pushing stories about an investigation into his relationships with women are the people extorting him and the subjects of an FBI extortion investigation over the last few weeks.

The documents in Gaetz's possession detail an alleged scheme that revolves around attempts by former Air Force intelligence officer Bob Kent and Beggs & Lane attorney David McGee, a former federal prosecutor, to free ex-FBI agent-turned-private investigator Robert Levinson from imprisonment in Iran.

Well, that stinks. The whole thing stinks. But that doesn’t mean that Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL-01) isn’t guilty. As I indicated earlier, these things usually turn out to be true.

“This former Department of Justice official tomorrow was supposed to be contacted by my father so that specific instructions could be given regarding the wiring of $4.5 million as a down payment on this bribe,” Gaetz said. “I don’t think it’s a coincidence that tonight, somehow, the New York Times is leaking this information, smearing me, and ruining the investigation that would likely result in one of the former colleagues of the current DOJ being brought to justice for trying to extort me and my family.”

The 17-year-old in question "doesn't exist," Gaetz said, adding that he has "not had a relationship with a 17-year-old. That is totally false.”

Well, we shall see.

DELTA–GTFO

Delta CEO: Georgia Voting Law 'Unacceptable' (breitbart.com)

If you think that ensuring election integrity is “unacceptable”, then you should not be doing business in America. Time to close up shop here and head to China. We don’t want you here anymore.

[Delta CEO ED Bastian] maintained that “the final bill is unacceptable and does not match Delta’s values.”

Then your values are not my values. I value freedom and personal liberty. What do you value?

Get lost.

Governor Kemp hits back. Good for him.

Georgia governor hits back after Delta CEO criticizes state election law as 'unacceptable' | Just The News

"Throughout the legislative process, we spoke directly with Delta representatives numerous times. We worked alongside legislative leadership to expand voting opportunities for Georgians, while also taking steps to further secure the ballot box,” Kemp said in a statement.

“At no point did Delta share any opposition to expanding early voting, strengthening voter ID measures, increasing the use of secure drop boxes statewide, and making it easier for local election officials to administer elections — which is exactly what this bill does. The last time I flew Delta, I had to present my photo ID,” he added.

"Today's statement by Delta CEO Ed Bastian stands in stark contrast to our conversations with the company, ignores the content of the new law, and unfortunately continues to spread the same false attacks being repeated by partisan activists.”

Good response.

Mine is better.

Get lost.

Lester Holt Needs To Retire—Forcibly If Necessary

NBC News Anchor: ‘Fairness Is Overrated’ | The Daily Wire

“Decisions to not give unsupported arguments equal time are not a dereliction of journalistic responsibility or some kind of agenda. In fact, it’s just the opposite,” Holt said. “Providing an open platform for misinformation, for anyone to come say whatever they want, especially when issues of public health and safety are at stake, can be quite dangerous. Our duty is to be fair to the truth. Holding those in power accountable is at the core of our function and responsibility. We need to hear our leader’s views, their policies, and reasoning. It’s really important. But we have to stand ready to push back and call out falsehoods.”

The problem is when those who are “holding those in power accountable” are the sole arbiters of what are “unsupported arguments”. Holt seems not to realize that deciding that an argument is “unsupported” is not the role of a news organization. That is a chilling viewpoint, and it reeks of propaganda.

Holt needs to retire. If he truly believes what he said, he is completely incapable of doing his job.

This Exposes One Of The Many Problems With Big Tech Censorship

When the people doing the censoring on a topic know less than the people they’re censoring.

Twitter censors CDC advisor and Harvard Medical School professor, Martin Kulldorff (reclaimthenet.org)

But now that Kulldorff has expressed his misgivings around the idea that children and youth must also be inoculated against Covid, this Harvard professor is facing Twitter censorship.

Kulldorff’s real life credentials appear hard to beat: 25,000 academic citations to date on infectious diseases topics that are his expertise, in addition to his Harvard role, and the one as the Brigham and Women’s Hospital epidemiologist and biostatistician.

Huh. Sounds like his opinion might have some value, and that he has the knowledge to back it up.

Unlike Twitter.
