Oh, This Is Delicious

Chris Cuomo’s Book Contract Dropped By HarperCollins | The Daily Wire

Chris Cuomo’s upcoming book with HarperCollins Publishers has been canceled following the host’s firing from CNN, according to a new report.

“I can confirm that we don’t intend to publish the book,” HarperCollins’ Custom House imprint spokesperson Kelly Rudolph told The New York Post on Tuesday.

Cuomo’s book “Deep Denial” was originally set for an earlier release, but the scheduled date was changed to October 15, 2022, according to Publishers Marketplace, the report noted.

Oh, what a shame. Although “Deep Denial” does sound like an apropos title.

This Could Get Interesting

Chris Cuomo Preparing To Take The Fight To CNN With Massive Lawsuit: Report | The Daily Wire

Normally I don’t care about these sorts of squabbles. But the rumors are that there’s a lot more corruption at CNN even than is generally known, and that Cuomo has the details. In writing or on tape.

Former CNN host Chris Cuomo is reportedly planning on taking on his former network by filing a massive lawsuit to get tens of millions of dollars that he believes is still owed to him on his contract and to “likely” seek damages from his recent firing.

“Cuomo, 51, has hired lawyers and is preparing to file the lawsuit over the remainder of the four-year contract he signed last year — after a bitter back-and-forth about what the network knew of his secret efforts to aid his embattled brother, then-Gov. Andrew Cuomo,” the New York Post reported. “His contract was reportedly worth $6 million annually, leaving between $18 million and $20 million that he would be owed, sources said, adding that Chris Cuomo would also likely seek damages.”

A CNN insider said that the far-left network has “no intention of paying Cuomo a penny” because “if he gets a settlement, there would be uproar.”

We’ll see what happens.

That Took Way Too Long

Chris Cuomo Out At SiriusXM Radio Show | The Daily Wire

Cuomo announced his exit from the network on Monday afternoon via Twitter.

“The way my time ended at CNN was hard. While I have a thick skin, I also have a family, for whom the past week has been extraordinarily difficult. So, right now, I have to take a step back and focus on what comes next,” wrote Cuomo. “That means I will no longer be doing my SiriusXM radio show.”

The statement did not immediately specify whether leaving the radio show had been his decision or the network’s. One commentator referred to his statement as “[t]he old I’m being fired but they’re allowing me to make it look like a resignation apology.”

I doubt that this was by choice. I think the network told him, “we’ll let you quit, but if you don’t you’re getting fired.”

The schadenfreude here is delicious.

And There’s the ”Additional Information”

Alleged Details Emerge On The ‘Additional Information’ That CNN Encountered On Cuomo | The Daily Wire

Still, it hardly seems like this could have been a surprise to CNN either. But, at least we know.

What a scumbag. Just like his brother, apparently.

By Now You Know This Already

CNN Terminates Chris Cuomo ‘Effective Immediately’ Over Scandal | The Daily Wire

So, they suspended him pending review.

“Chris Cuomo was suspended earlier this week pending further evaluation of new information that came to light about his involvement with his brother’s defense,” CNN said in a statement. “We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review, and have terminated him, effective immediately.”

To me, this is the curious bit.

“While in the process of that review, additional information has come to light,” the network added. “Despite the termination, we will investigate as appropriate.”

What information could they possibly have uncovered this quickly that would be worse than what we already know?

Tune in later for more details.

Why Does He Still Have a Radio Show?

That was my first reaction to this story.

Chris Cuomo Reacts To CNN Suspension On Radio Show: ‘It Hurts To Even Say It’ | The Daily Wire

Cuomo asked his producers to cut the music before delving into the topic that was on everyone’s minds. “Quick note about the obvious — I’ve been suspended from CNN…. You know this already. It hurts to even say it. It’s embarrassing, but I understand it.”

“And I understand why some people feel the way they do about what I did. I’ve apologized in the past, and I mean it. It’s the last thing I ever wanted to do, was compromise any of my colleagues,” Cuomo continued.

“I know they have a process that they think is important. I respect that process, so I’m not going to talk about this any more than that,” he said.

Again, who is giving this man mic time? And why?

Media ”Never Really Liked” Andrew Cuomo

Do I have to go find the fawning praise lavished upon him myself? What a joke!

CNN Suspends Cuomo Over New Info Involving Brother; Cuomo Claims Media ‘Never Really Liked’ Brother | The Daily Wire

Chris Cuomo weighed in on the allegations made against his brother during an interview on SiriusXM, saying, “The game has rules.”

“And one of the general principles is you can fight against the other party, and you can fight against the media, but only if you have your party,” Chris Cuomo said. “Andrew had his party enforcing a rule against him that if you have accusations, you have problems, and you don’t really get to really vet the accusations, and you don’t get to go against your accusers.”

Yes, Andrew Cuomo is the true victim here.

But let’s not forget Chris:

“CNN anchor Chris Cuomo was suspended indefinitely by the network on Tuesday in the wake of new details about his efforts to assist his brother,” The New York Times reported, adding that while Chris Cuomo had apologized for advising his brother “thousands of pages of new evidence released on Monday by the New York attorney general, Letitia James, revealed that the anchor’s role had been more intimate and involved than previously known.”

I love it. These clowns will never get what they deserve, but at least they’re getting something.

The Corrupt Investigating the Corrupt

CNN Plans ‘Thorough Review’ After Document Dump Suggests Chris Cuomo Had Larger Role Advising Andrew Cuomo | The Daily Wire

CNN first became aware in May that the “Cuomo Primetime” host had advised his brother on how to handle allegations of sexual harassment and assault, and opted at the time not to suspend him. Instead, the network issued a statement calling the move “inappropriate” and saying that he would “not participate in such conversations going forward.”

So, here’s the thing. They knew. CNN knew. They just didn’t do anything about it. They didn’t care. It wasn’t until it became public and made them look bad that they did something. You can definitely believe that if this had stayed under wraps, Chris Cuomo would still be happily hosting his show.

The corrupt investigating the corrupt.

Who Couldn’t Have Seen This Coming?

‘Business-As-Usual’: Transcript Shows CNN’s Chris Cuomo Looked Into Ronan Farrow’s Investigation Into Andrew Cuomo, Shared ‘Intel’ | The Daily Wire

According to a newly-released transcript of Ronan Farrow’s testimony to New York state investigators in July, a text exchange indicates that CNN anchor Chris Cuomo looked into Farrow’s reporting about Governor Andrew Cuomo and relayed information to his brother’s inner circle, days before it was published

“Farrow, who famously won the Pulitzer Prize and helped launch the #MeToo movement with his reporting on disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein, also took a deep dive into alleged sexual wrongdoing by former Gov. Cuomo, the CNN anchor’s older brother,” reported Fox News.

“Chris Cuomo admitted to contacting colleagues of Farrow for updates but claimed it was simply ‘business-as-usual’ to employ such methods,” Fox’s report continued. “Text messages released by state investigators showed top Andrew Cuomo aide Melissa DeRosa asking about ‘intel’ the CNN anchor had about Farrow’s report on March 15, to which he replied it wasn’t ready for publication. Farrrow’s story was eventually published on March 18. “

Nice having a brother on the inside. Didn’t end up helping Andrew in the long run, though. Too bad.

Looks like we’re getting two takedowns in the Cuomo family for the price of one.

CNN Backtracks, Fearing Lawsuit?

This is an odd take from lefty CNN. It’s odd because it’s the…err…correct one.

CNN’s Cuomo: Kyle Rittenhouse Trial Verdict Was ‘Justified’: ‘What We Should Want Every Time’ | The Daily Wire

This network has invested quite a bit of time and energy into stoking the fires of racial injustice. They’ve been doing it for years, and hit it particularly hard during the Rittenhouse saga. They also came down pretty hard on Rittenhouse himself, swinging dangerously close to libel.

Suddenly, one of their loudest voices reverses course? Smells like fear of a lawsuit to me.

Liberal CNN Host Chris Cuomo said that the Kyle Rittenhouse trial was justified by the law and the facts, despite his contention that the outcome was an instance of “systemic racism.”

During the handoff segment of his show, “Cuomo Prime Time,” Cuomo told fellow CNN host Don Lemon that he thought the verdict and the subsequent protests were “a terrible situation,” and pointed out that because of systemic racism, “you’re going to have people saying if he was black, this would be different.”

He did concede, however, that the verdict “is justified by the law and the facts,” and “that’s what we should want every time.”

“We want this outcome no matter who the defendant is,” Cuomo said.

I absolutely agree with that last bit from Cuomo. Justice is supposed to be blind. A white man shouldn’t get special treatment because he’s white. And Rittenhouse didn’t. He got the treatment he should expect. In fact, he got worse, because his case should have never gone to trial.

But also, we shouldn’t see a black man get worse treatment because he’s black. And that does happen far more than it should. Not as much as some people claim, but enough that it’s a problem. So, Cuomo is right. We want this outcome no matter who the defendant is.
