The only way I have sympathy for this person is if the police somehow picked up the wrong guy. Which I don’t see anyone claiming.

The suspect, who The Daily Wire is not naming due to company policy regarding not identifying alleged mass murderers, complained to Fox News that was being “dehumanized” and “demonized.”

Well, I don’t have any problems naming Darrell Brooks.

Not even his mother has dropped by, he said. Earlier in the day, she released a statement on behalf of the family decrying Wisconsin’s criminal justice system for failing her son, a longtime felon with a 50-page rap sheet detailing domestic violence, firearms, drugs and other convictions in Wisconsin, according to documents obtained by Fox News Digital. [The suspect] is also a registered child sex offender in Nevada and served time in Georgia for beating his ex, records show.

Great guy. And let’s not forget his most recent alleged crime:

The suspected driver of a red Ford Escape killed at least six people after he allegedly intentionally plowed through a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, on November 21. The suspect is facing six counts of first-degree intentional homicide after the most recent charge was filed on Monday.

Can’t imagine why he’d be demonized or dehumanized.

They’re So Wrapped up in the Narrative, They Can’t Even Remember the Facts

It is completely embarrassing for the Chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) to get this wrong.

Maloney issued a statement yesterday afternoon in which he said that it is “disgusting and disturbing that someone was able to carry a loaded assault rifle into a protest against the unjust killing of Jacob Blake, an unarmed Black man, and take the lives of two people and injure another – and face absolutely no consequences.”

Two problems:

1. Jacob Blake was not unarmed
2. There was no “unjust killing”, because Jacob Blake, is, in fact, not dead.

You pushed this narrative. You encouraged the riots. And you don’t even have your basic facts straight. A riot to protest the “unjust killing” of someone who is alive.

And yet, Twitter and Facebook are all over it, every time someone on the right misspells a word.

Disgusting.

For the record, has the Kenosha rioters actually been “peacefully protesting”, I would be on their side. As this blog has made quite clear, I am an unabashed supporter of free speech. I set the bar extremely high to impose any restrictions upon it.

Arson, rioting, looting, vandalism do not constitute free speech. They are theft and acts of violence.

If you’re on the side of that, I will never be on your side, and you are not on the side of American liberty.

University professors, employees and public school teachers, staff and district administrators alike all maintain spots on the host planning committee for the La Crosse, Wisconsin, “White Privilege Symposium,” set to take place in early December.

Attendees are asked to spend $100 a pop per adult ticket to go to the event, (whether it be virtually or in person) to learn about white privilege, racial oppression, critical race theory and other ideas involving ingrained inequities.

Star Prosecution Witness in Rittenhouse Trial Makes the Case for the Defense

Kyle Rittenhouse shot three people that night. Two of them died. One lived. That means that there are exactly two people who really know what happened. Kyle and the lone survivor,  Gaige Grosskreutz.

Grosskreutz was on the stand today. He is the final and star witness for the prosecution. His testimony did not go well.

State Witnesses Continue to Aid Defense in Rittenhouse Trial

Man Kyle Rittenhouse Shot Had Loaded Handgun, Witness Testifies | The Daily Wire

A witness at the murder trial of Kyle Rittenhouse testified Friday that one of the men Rittenhouse shot was holding a gun that was loaded and ready to be fired.

Jason Lackowski, the seventh witness called by the prosecution, said he helped Gaige Grosskreutz, who survived after Rittenhouse shot and injured him in his right arm during riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin last summer. Lackowski said he helped apply a tourniquet to Grosskreutz’s arm and emptied his handgun, and that was when he observed that the gun had a bullet in the chamber.

And under cross:

Rittenhouse’s defense attorneys asked Lackowski about what he heard the crowd yelling, and Lackowski testified that he heard a protester shout “Get him!”

Remember, the defense is merely trying to show that Rittenhouse had reason to believe that his life was in danger.

It’s Not Going Well for the State in Wisconsin v. Rittenhouse

Today, however, was even worse.  Two of the state’s own witnesses, and arguably their star witnesses with the greatest immediate personal knowledge of the events surrounding the shootings—journalist Richard McGinnis who was filming and interviewing Kyle that night, and former Army Infantryman Ryan Balch, who was also armed along with Kyle that night—provided lengthy testimony that not only failed to assist the state’s efforts to attack Kyle’s claim of self-defense, their testimony substantively strengthened that claim of self-defense.

He goes on:

What I saw over the first two days of this trial was a bunch of testimony that contributed nothing substantively to degrading any of those four elements, and thus nothing to disprove Kyle Rittenhouse’s claim of self-defense.  There was simply no substantive evidence that undermined any of those four elements of Kyle’s self-defense claim.

What I saw from the State’s witnesses today, however, was far worse.  Not only did their testimony—the testimony which is supposed to be the building blocks for the destruction of the claim of self-defense—not undermine Kyle’s self-defense, much of today’s testimony actually strengthened Kyle’s claim of self-defense.

And perhaps even worse, ADA Binger’s attempts to badger the witness’s testimony into something that might in one’s wildest imaginings resemble a tool to bludgeon self-defense resulted only in him appearing intellectually desperate, and in his witnesses becoming visibly resistant to his badgering.

The prosecution doesn’t have a case, which hampers their ability to present one pretty significantly. Thus, they have to have to resort to distractions and attempt to make Rittenhouse look bad.

There’s No Reason to Have Faith in Our Elections at This Point

Audit Claims Wisconsin May Have Counted Enough Illegal Votes to Flip State to Biden – PJ Media

Biden’s state-certified margin of victory in Wisconsin was 20,682 votes. The audit found that there were tens of thousands of illegal votes that should not have been counted in the election. According to Dan O’Donnell of The Federalist, the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) and the officials who oversee it “were downright derelict in their duty to fairly and impartially supervise an election run by city and county clerks and poll workers who were not properly trained and did not receive accurate, lawful guidance.”

Look. I’m not one that claims the election was stolen. I think it’s more likely than not that Joe Biden received enough votes in enough states to win the Electoral College. I do think that it’s possible that there were some states who certified invalid election results, but probably not enough to change the Electoral College winner.

What I do think is that there was enough chicanery and enough loose enforcement of the rules in many states to cast doubt upon the validity of the results. And that is something that we cannot afford going forward.

We need tighter election rules and stronger enforcement. And as I have said many times now, if the chain of custody for any ballot is broken, that ballot cannot be counted. Period. I don’t care if that means that 98% of the ballots for an election can’t be counted.

We must have faith that all legal ballots are counted and ONLY legal ballots are counted. That is the only way that we can trust the election results.

I’d Put This Under the ”Well, Duh” Category

This is pretty clearly stated and is 100% correct.

The court has ruled that Sheriff Joseph Konrath violated the First Amendment by sending Sergeant Klump to threaten Amyiah’s parents.

The ruling starts by stating: “The SARS-CoV-2 virus and COVID-19 have had a tremendous impact on American society. But, as this case makes clear, that impact has its limits and, more specifically, does not extend to overriding the protections of the First Amendment…

“The parties agree that the facts are not disputed. Indeed, the entirety of Sergeant Klump’s encounter with Amyiah and her parents is captured in a dash-cam video. That video, along with other record evidence, establishes that Defendants violated Amyiah’s free-speech rights by demanding that she take down her social media posts or face criminal citation or arrest,” the ruling continued.

“Even if short and often grammatically scurrilous, social media posts do not fall outside the ambit of the First Amendment. To the contrary, they are exactly what the First Amendment seeks to protect.”

Can’t argue with that. Glad one judge gets it, at least.
