I Don’t Think That He Was Supposed to Admit That

Detroit Superintendent: ‘Our Curriculum Is Deeply Using Critical Race Theory’ | The Daily Wire

At a recent board meeting, Vitti stated: “Our curriculum is deeply using critical race theory, especially in social studies, but you’ll find it in English language arts and the other disciplines. We were very intentional about creating a curriculum, infusing materials and, embedding critical race theory within our curriculum.”

The video can be seen here:

CRT has become more important than getting an actual education.

Too Late: You Already Lost My Support, Maybe Permanently

Salvation Army withdraws guide that asks white supporters to apologize for their race | Just The News

The Salvation Army has withdrawn its controversial "Let's Talk About ... Racism" guide following criticism and donor backlash over the text that asked white supporters of the charity group to deliver "sincere" apologies for their race and the past sins of the Church.

As a result of some of the guide's more extreme positions becoming public, donors and supporters across the country have been rescinding their support of the organization.

That’s me. I’m a rescinding supporter.

The group is perhaps best known for collecting coins and paper money in red kettles outside of stores during the Christmas holiday season with a member ringing a bell.

The statement, in part, also reads: "The Salvation Army occasionally publishes internal study guides on various complex topics to help foster positive conversations and grace-filled reflection among Salvationists. By openly discussing these issues, we always hope to encourage the development of a more thoughtful organization that is better positioned to support those in need. But no one is being told how to think. Period."

A few paragraphs later, it continues: "We have done our best to provide accurate information, but unfortunately, some have chosen to ignore those efforts. At the same time, International Headquarters realized that certain aspects of the guide may need to be clarified.

“Clarified”. They’re going to soften the language, but the intent will be the same. As I said, I’m out. I’ll find someone else to donate money to this Christmas season.

In 15-20 Years, We’re Going to Really Pay For What They’re Doing to Education

Math Is Now 'Racist' According to California – PJ Media

According to The San Francisco Standard, the new standards pull programs for gifted students, “de-emphasizes calculus, and applies social justice principles to math lessons.”

How about we apply math to math lessons?

“We were transforming math education, and change is hard and scary,” said Rebecca Pariso, a math teacher at Hueneme Elementary School District. “Especially if you don’t understand why that change needs to occur. But I didn’t expect it to go this far.”

I don’t undersand why it needs to occur, because it doesn’t need to occur.

This is right.

Over a thousand STEM experts signed an open letter condemning the proposed framework, saying it politicizes math. “[California’s] proposed Mathematics Curriculum Framework is presented as a step toward social justice and racial equity, but its effect would be the opposite—to rob all Californians, especially the poorest and most vulnerable, who always suffer most when schools fail to teach their students.”

How About ”No”, and I Won’t Be Filling Your Red Pots This Year Either.

Actually, I will probably relent on the red pot. I still want the beneficiaries to get my donations. I just wish I didn’t have to do it through a company that hates me.

Salvation Army Demands “Sincere Apology” From White Donors For Their Racism (lifezette.com)

Leadership in the Salvation Army has embraced the ideologies that are pushed by the Black Lives Matter movement by launching the “International Social Justice Commission,” which has since created a “resource” to educate its white donors, volunteers, and staffers that they call Let’s Talk about Racism.

This “resource” states that because Christianity is inherently racist, white Christians owe “a sincere apology” to blacks for being “antagonistic…to black people or the culture, values and interests of the black community.”

Actually, after reading this, forget it. I’ll still donate, but I’ll donate elsewhere. You don’t deserve my money and you won’t have it.

They Should Be Careful. Someone Might Hold Them Down and Give Them a Shot in Return.

Sen. Rand Paul: Ideologues Are Pushing Vaccine Mandates for Children (dailysignal.com)

“These are the same people that want to teach critical race theory,” the Kentucky Republican said in an interview Thursday with The Daily Signal. “They’re the same people that want to teach your kindergartner that if they’re a boy, they can easily become a girl. ”

“This is the craziness being foisted upon our children in school, but it’s also the same crazy people that want to hold your kid down and give them a shot without your permission, and we need to fight back,” he said.

Do that to my kid and you’ll feel my wrath. Hell hath no fury, indeed. My patience for people harming my children is pretty much non-existent. And I doubt that I’m very much different from most parents.

Good, but They’ll Teach It Anyway

North Dakota Gov Signs Bill Banning Critical Race Theory From Public Schools | The Daily Wire

They’re never going to call it CRT. And they’ll never stop. They’ll just be more subtle about it now.

Each school district and public school shall ensure instruction of its curriculum is factual, objective, and aligned to the kindergarten through grade twelve state content standards. A school district or public school may not include instruction relating to critical race theory in any portion of the district’s required curriculum … or any other curriculum offered by the district or school. For purposes of this section, “critical race theory” means the theory that racism is not merely the product of learned individual bias or prejudice, but that racism is systemically embedded in American society and the American legal system to facilitate racial inequality. The superintendent of public instruction may adopt rules to govern this section.

I’m glad they did it. I hope it helps. Color me skeptical.

But CRT Doesn’t Exist

Wisc. professors, public school leaders to help host two-day ‘white privilege symposium’ | The College Fix

Proponents and advocates of critical race theory in America’s Dairyland have an event to look forward to next month: a two-day symposium on white privilege.

University professors, employees and public school teachers, staff and district administrators alike all maintain spots on the host planning committee for the La Crosse, Wisconsin, “White Privilege Symposium,” set to take place in early December.

Attendees are asked to spend $100 a pop per adult ticket to go to the event, (whether it be virtually or in person) to learn about white privilege, racial oppression, critical race theory and other ideas involving ingrained inequities.

CRT doesn’t exist.

Right.

More Racism in Virginia Schools

I hope Governor-elect Youngkin (R-VA) comes in and takes and axe to this sort of thing. I want to see liberal heads explode.

Parents Express Outrage At Alexandria Schools Peddling Racism (thefederalist.com)

They keep telling us that CRT isn’t taught.

Ummm…

One page on the school website, “Talking to Your Children About Racial Justice,” encourages parents to “let go of colorblindness” and “ensure your kids are aware of race.” Among other things, it promotes a Forbes article that suggests understanding “our country’s deeply rooted racism” with resources such as:

  • a Medium article encouraging readers to donate to their local Black Lives Matter chapter, ask their representatives to decriminalize marijuana, ask their representatives to ban voter ID laws, join their local “white space,” and ask their high school to teach a mandatory class on white privilege,
  • an article titled “White People Have No Culture,”
  • an article titled “Food Has Always Been Political,”
  • “Black Marxism: The Making of Black Radical Tradition” by Cedric Robinson,
  • “The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution,” a documentary about the militant Black Panthers group,
  • and the American Civil Liberties Union website.

Another ACPS page, simply titled “Teaching Racial Justice,” promotes “How To Be An Antiracist” by Ibram X. Kendi, in which Kendi argues, “The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.” The page also declares, “Racism against the Asian-American community is deeply ingrained in the fabric of our country.” Other resources it promotes include “White Fragility” by Robin DiAngelo, “White Rage” by Carol Anderson, “White Teachers Need Anti-Racist Therapy” by Bettina Love, and “Why Teaching Grit Is Inherently Anti-Black” by Bettina Love.

Liar, liar, pants on fire.

And, by the way, ugh! These people need to have restraining orders to keep them away from children and from education.

“To Be Clear, It’s Not Part of the Curriculum.”

Sen. Rick Scott Leaves CNN’s Brianna Keilar Reeling After Testy Exchange On CRT | The Daily Caller

When someone presents an argument, just repeating over and over “no it’s not” is not an effective rebuttal.

Scott said:

“I think what Democrats will continue to do is talk about Donald Trump and Republicans will continue to talk about issues. Glenn Youngkin won his race because he talked about issues and I think that’s what’s going to happen,” Scott began. “We’re going to see just like in Virginia Terry McAuliffe wanted to say there’s nothing about Critical Race Theory. We know it’s true. Parents know their kids are being indoctrinated with Critical Race Theory in Virginia and Democrats wanted to deny it. And so parents showed up because they don’t like being lied to.”

Keilar:

“just to be clear, it’s not in the curriculum in Virginia.”

Scott:

That’s when Scott cited evidence from Virginia’s Department of Education website that shows CRT has been part of public schools’ curriculum even when Terry McAuliffe was last governor.

Scott went on to cite examples of the concept being taught in Virginia public schools and said he hopes Democrats keep saying that they are not promoting CRT even when the evidence suggests they do because “parents are not stupid.”

“I think parents are smart. My parents didn’t have much of a formal education, but they cared about what I learned. Parents are smart,” Scott said. “They know that the Virginia Department of Education promoted critical race theory and Terry McAuliffe said they didn’t. I hope Democrats keep doing that all across the country,” he added.

And once again:

However, Keilar jumped in again to repeat, “To be clear, it’s not part of the curriculum.”

Social Justice <> Math

California Plan To Inject ‘Social Justice’ Into High School Math On Hold After Backlash | The Daily Wire

There’s not enough backlash possible for such a stupid idea.

The California guidelines, which are not binding, could overhaul the way many school districts approach math instruction. The draft rejected the idea of naturally gifted children, recommended against shifting certain students into accelerated courses in middle school and tried to promote high-level math courses that could serve as alternatives to calculus, like data science or statistics.

The draft also suggested that math should not be colorblind and that teachers could use lessons to explore social justice — for example, by looking out for gender stereotypes in word problems, or applying math concepts to topics like immigration or inequality. …

None of these are remotely appropriate for a math class. And if you think they are, then you should not be involved in education.

Maher Keeps Inching Closer to Conservatism

Bill Maher, liberal professor clash on CRT in schools: It's 'disingenuous' to say parents oppose Black history | Fox News

"But I find that a disingenuous argument because I don't think that is what people are objecting to," the host reacted. "They are not objecting to Black history being taught. There are other things going on in the schools."

"Like what?" Dyson asked.

"Like separating children by race," Maher responded, "and describing them either as oppressed or oppressor. I mean, there are children coming home who feel traumatized by this. That's what parents are objecting to."

Maher gets it. He just refuses to take the next mental step. He keeps thinking that the Left is good, except for all these ridiculous things it believes. He keeps thinking that if the Left just returned to normalcy on these few things, then everything would be all right.

The problem is that it’s not just a few things, and they are incapable of returning to normalcy. The modern Left is defined by these positions. Take it or leave them.

I Hope the Left Continues to Believe That This Is True

If they operate on this belief, they will continue to lose elections.

CRT = Racism. Period.

CRT: It Doesn’t Exist…And It’s Awesome! [with comment by Paul] | Power Line (powerlineblog.com)

Read this and tell me there’s any other conclusion to draw.

Quoting liberally from Power Line Blog because it’s so important:

These people are openly anti-American. They make no bones about it. They hate our country and are trying to destroy it, and their control over K-12 education, which is unchallenged in many places, makes that a reasonable ambition. While national attention is understandably focused on Virginia’s election for governor, the country’s school board elections will be more important in the long run.

Wherever you live, seats on your school board are probably being contested. The Golden Rule is, never vote for anyone who is endorsed by your state’s teachers’ union. If you inquire, you can easily find out whether there are pro-America candidates running for your local school board. If there are, you should vote for them. Turnout in school board elections is notoriously low, often in single digits, which is why far-left teachers’ unions have generally been able to select the school boards “against” whom they negotiate contracts.

This year, pro-America candidates have emerged in most states. Some will win, but most, in all likelihood, will fail to overcome the Left’s immense financial resources. But next year may be a different story: this year some tremors, in 2022, the earthquake. With another year, not just to spread awareness of the evils of CRT and the anti-American bias that has largely taken over our public schools, but also to organize, identify candidates, raise a modest amount of money and rally behind them, we may see a revolution.

We’re Not Finished With Loudoun County Schools Yet

Loudoun County Schools' Controversies Continue – PJ Media

Don’t worry, CRT isn’t being taught there.

Err…

Umm.

Ok. Well, that speaks for itself.

Loudoun County School Board Has Forgotten the First Rule of Holes

When you’re in one, stop digging.

Loudoun County School Board Chair Trashes Parents (dailysignal.com)

“I have to go back to the pandemic. Because it stirred from parents who were very legitimately concerned about schools being closed, and then—so, you had angry parents who I can absolutely empathize with and we wanted to help and we took their kids out of school because we had to. And then—so, you had a group of angry parents and then someone lit the fire with critical race theory, and I truly believe it is to impact elections,” Sheridan told Todd. “There is a fire lit every week in Loudoun County on a new topic just to keep the anger flowing,” Sheridan added.

Maybe the fires will stop, if you stop throwing around flammable material.

I Told You the Democrats Will Try to Twist the Message

I mentioned this just a few posts ago.

McAuliffe Doubles Down | Power Line (powerlineblog.com)

Disagreeing with a false theory based on unsupported racist principles does not make one racist. In fact, it makes one the exact opposite.

The ones pushing CRT on our children are the racists. Period. End of discussion.

Probably Because Parents Don’t Appreciate the ”These Are Your Kids, so Butt Out” Message From the Democrats

Poll shows education is winning issue for Republicans | Power Line (powerlineblog.com)

That’s the view of liberal Washington Post opinion writer James Hohmann. He bases this view on the findings of a survey conducted for the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

Hohmann writes:

I obtained a 45-slide PowerPoint recently presented to Republican senators that summarizes findings from a previously unreported internal poll of 1,200 likely voters in 2022 suburban battlegrounds. Notable results included:

*Seventy-eight percent agreed that “many public-school systems in America are failing and children are falling behind the rest of the world.”

*Sixty-five percent agreed that “allowing biological males to compete against women in high school and college sports is hugely unfair and will erase many of the gains women have made in athletics over the last 50 years.”

*Fifty-eight percent agreed that “critical race theory should not be taught in schools” because “children should not be told they are inherently racist simply because of the color of their skin.”

Democrats are on the wrong side of all three issues. And they’re adamantly on the wrong side. They will try to explain it away. They’ll tell us these are complex issues and we don’t understand. or they will confuse us about CRT.

I’m sure that’s why the numbers on CRT are the lowest. My parents live in Idaho, and the GOP there recently stopped some school curriculum changes because of CRT. And my parents were convinced it was the Republicans who were being racists. The left is so good at disguising their message that they turned that one completely around.

We will see a lot of that. The GOP needs to be on message and on point and not let the Democrats defuse or distract.

I have my doubts.
