Abbott said that Biden’s reversal of the previous administration’s policies has led to “catastrophic” results on the border, including Mexican cartels becoming even more aggressive.

“And the cartels on the Mexican side of the border, they’re beginning to open fire on the National Guard that Texas has down on the border to secure the border,” Abbott said. “This is escalating into a firing war on each side of the border where Texas and our National Guard are having to defend themselves and defend the state of Texas.”

Abbott said that the hottest point of activity right now is in Starr County “where the cartels on the Mexican side of the border are shooting at the National Guard on the Texas side of the border.”

“And so what Texas is having to do, we’re having to step up and guard multiple points across the entire border,” Abbott said. “The Biden administration has completely abandoned all the people who live on the border, and they’ve abandoned people in the state of Texas[.]

This is dereliction of duty.

This actually is an impeachable offense. It’s quite a bit worse than making a phone call.

And remember the point of intimidation like this. It’s not so much to intimidate the people who are fighting now. They’re fighting the next battle. They want to stop the next group from even standing up to complain. That’s how tyrants win.

“It is the method of intimidation. His order basically states that if you’ve got a hand in these school board meetings, then you’d be investigated because he’s saying that they’re intimidating school board members,” Johnson explained.

“No, it’s the attorney general of the United States that is intimidating people exercising their rights to free speech and their right to petition their government.”

Johnson went on to say all parents across the U.S. must stand up to school boards and what they think is best for their children, not Biden and his officials. Johnson added he hopes parents are paying attention.

The actor claimed that he was attacked at 2 a.m. on the streets of Chicago by two masked men after purchasing a Subway sandwich on January 29 , ABC News reported. The men allegedly poured an unknown substance–possibly bleach, possibly nothing at all–on Smollett and tied a noose around his neck, allegedly that is–or at least that is what Smollett told the police. Oh! And the two men allegedly shouted “MAGA country” while doing so because, you know…”orange-man bad.”

Yeah. Oops.

As I keep saying, demand for racism in America greatly exceeds supply. Smollett needs to go to prison and this needs to be a public example of what happens to you when you commit a race hoax.

Look, part of what’s happening isn’t just the supply side. It’s the demand side. Demand is off the charts. Retail sales are through the roof.”

“And if you think about those images of ships, for example, waiting at anchor on the West Coast, you know, every one of those ships is full of record amounts of goods that Americans are buying, because demand is up, because income is up, because the president has successfully guided this economy out of the teeth of a terrifying recession,” Buttigieg claimed. “Now the issue is, even though our ports are handling more than they ever have, record amounts of goods coming through, our supply chains can’t keep up. And, of course, our supply chains, that’s a complicated system that is mostly in private hands, and rightly so.”

The man is off his rocker. If he truly believes this, he needs to be fired for incompetence. If he doesn’t believe it, he needs to be fired for so brazenly lying to the American public. Either way he needs to go.

I’ve tended to avoid items that are time sensitive because of that, but as I get closer to “real-time” I am going to stop doing that in attempt to preserve a record of the history.

Ed Bastian, the CEO of Delta Airlines, has just announced that the company is ditching its COVID-19 vaccine mandate for employees due to the “divisiveness” of its nature.

Bastian told Fox Business that over 90% of the company is vaccinated, and that number is expected to rise by 5% in the next month with the mandate gone.

That’s great.

There’s a rather significant caveat, though.

Bastian went on to say that there will need to be religious and medical accommodations made for those who wish to remain unvaccinated while avoiding having to threaten employment status.

Ah. So the mandate allows for that.

So, they’re not really ditching the mandate after all.

Got it.

Communist China tested a nuclear-capable hypersonic missile late this summer that circled the planet before taking aim at its target; a test that has stunned the Biden administration.

“Five people familiar with the test said the Chinese military launched a rocket that carried a hypersonic glide vehicle which flew through low-orbit space before cruising down towards its target,” Financial Times reported. “The missile missed its target by about two-dozen miles, according to three people briefed on the intelligence. But two said the test showed that China had made astounding progress on hypersonic weapons and was far more advanced than US officials realized.”

“We have no idea how they did this,” one of the five people told FT.

Gulp.

But wait, it gets worse:

“We’re no longer in a period of overwhelming American dominance but rather one in which our armed forces are adapting to fight against near-peer competitors who are fielding increasingly sophisticated capabilities,” said Randall G. Schriver, assistant secretary of defense for Indo-Pacific security affairs. “Instead of expecting to dominate an opponent, our armed forces are learning to expect to be contested throughout a fight while achieving the political objectives set for them.”

Uhh…we need to be able to dominate. I expect our military to kick a**. And to be so good at kicking a** that no one wants to fight us. The easiest wars to win are the ones that are never fought.

DeSantis Is Correct, Except About the ”Invisible” Part

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) called inflation “an invisible tax on the American people.”

The remarks come as year-over-year inflation in the United States surges to 5.4% — and as Amy Baker, coordinator of the Florida legislature’s Office of Economic and Demographic Research, tells lawmakers that high inflation is transitory.

It’s not invisible.

I see it every time I fill up my tank, every time I stop at the Drive-Thru, every time I get groceries, every time I get things like video cameras for my PC to help with my (and my kids) work from home efforts.

And from what I hear, I’m going to see it in spades when I get my energy bills this winter.

Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics confirm that the average American’s real wage is falling due to inflation. The agency recently reported that “average hourly earnings” in the United States increased by 3.6% between June 2020 and June 2021. However, when considering inflation — specifically through the Consumer Price Index, which rose by 5.3% over the same period — “real average hourly earnings” diminished by 1.7%.

Meanwhile, White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain alleged that rising inflation is only a “high-class problem.”

Yeah, because only the high class need gas and food and heat.

What a moron.

We are being led by the most incompetent administration in history. And that’s the generous assessment. The more worrisome assessment is that they understand the effects of their policies completely, and are enacting them anyway.
