The judge instead sentenced Chansley today to 41 months in the hoosegow.

“What you did here was horrific, as you now concede,” declared Judge Royce Lamberth. “It is the type of conduct that is so serious that I cannot justify downward departure.”

Chansley is considered to be one of the first 30 protestors to enter the Capitol on Jan. 6. He entered with a flagpole adorned with a spear tip (probably not wise). He posed for pictures after being asked to leave. He also made social media postings in Nov. 2020 declaring that traitors should be hanged. While in the Capitol he wrote a note for former Vice President Mike Pence that read, “It’s only a matter of time, justice is coming.”

41 months for dressing up and entering the Capitol and taking some pictures. This seems completely unjust.

On Wednesday, President Biden, in yet another effort to place the blame for inflated prices anywhere but on his own shoulders, called for the Federal Trade Commission to investigate major oil and gas companies over rising gas prices, sending a letter to the head of the Federal Trade Commission to call her attention to “mounting evidence of anti-consumer behavior by oil and gas companies.”

Seriously?

That triggered the American Petroleum Institute to fire back ands place the blame back on Biden, writing,”This is a distraction from the fundamental market shift that is taking place and the ill-advised government decisions that are exacerbating this challenging situation. … Rather than launching investigations on markets that are regulated and closely monitored on a daily basis or pleading with OPEC to increase supply, we should be encouraging the safe and responsible development of American-made oil and natural gas.”

Good response. Has the added advantage of being true. The high gas prices are entirely the fault of the Biden administration.

Sources close to the project note that the retrospective will focus on the creation of the film and the central cast/team. Rowling will, however, be featured in archival footage. She will not make a new appearance in the special,” The Hollywood Reporter noted.

Ridiculous.

What did she do that was so horrible?

She added, “If sex isn’t real, there’s no same-sex attraction. If sex isn’t real, the lived reality of women globally is erased…. I know and love trans people, but erasing the concept of sex removes the ability of many to meaningfully discuss their lives.”

She also stated, “My life has been shaped by being female. I do not believe it’s hateful to say so.”

I mentioned earlier that I didn’t understand the CNN hit job on Vice President Kamala Harris (D-USA), but now I do.

On Tuesday night, Fox News’ Jesse Watters reported that Fox News congressional correspondent Chad Pergram “has been hearing whispers suggesting there could be some new, high-profile confirmation hearings on the horizon in the House of Representatives.”

“Why is this a big deal? Because the House does not confirm normal nominees, but it does confirm vice presidential nominees. Does this have something to do with Kamala Harris?” Watters pondered.

Recent reports have suggested there’s a lot of tension and dysfunction behind the scenes in the White House. Kamala Harris isn’t happy with the role she’s been asked to play and her allies are accusing Biden of racism for favoring Transportation Secretary Buttigieg over her.

Here’s my theory.

Joe and the Democrats have decided that he’s not going to be able to last out his term. His mental faculties are declining too rapidly to even be able to pretend to hide anymore. He’s also toxically unpopular at the moment. So, he’s going to step down. Possibly before the mid-terms.

But they don’t want Harris to replace him. She’s even less popular than he is, and will be harder to control.

So, they have to push her out first, like what happened with Nixon and Agnew. Replace Harris with someone everyone likes, then have Biden develop a medical condition that requires that he step aside also, and boom, they have someone they like in the Oval Office. Someone who can run in 2024 without Biden baggage and someone who isn’t Kamala Harris.

That’s my theory.

Every Republican senator is expected to challenge the Biden Administration’s vaccine mandate via the Congressional Review Act on Wednesday.

According to a report from Fox News, the Congressional Review Act is “ the official process for Congress to eliminate an executive branch rule.” The mandate, which says that businesses with more than 100 employees must implement a rule by January 4 requiring their workers to get vaccinated or tested weekly for COVID-19.

“President Biden’s vaccine mandate is an unconstitutional invasion of what should be a personal medical decision for every American and an affront to the rights of 80 million American workers,” Indiana Senator Mike Braun told Fox.

He continued, “Today, my Republican colleagues and I will formally challenge this federal overreach, and I urge the Senate to vote in favor of this disapproval resolution when it comes to the Floor for a filibuster-proof, simple-majority vote in early December.”

It seems somewhat silly that enacting the Congressional Review Act which is to stop Executive over-reach requires Presidential approval. Makes the law kind of pointless. I can’t imagine any President going, “oh hey. You’re right. I’ve gone to far. I’ll just sign this and nullify what I’ve done.”

Still makes a point, I guess.

Of course, there’s no evidence whatsoever that Project Veritas has engaged in any deceptions, certainly not “disgraceful” ones.  Of course, “deception” from the left these days means “telling facts we don’t want the public to hear”.
