He Should Get It, and Back Pay, and Triple Damages for ”Pain and Suffering”

Virginia Cop Who Lost Job for Donating to Rittenhouse Defense Demands His Job Back (legalinsurrection.com)

The Norfolk Virginia Police Department fired Sgt. William K. Kelly III for donating anonymously $25 to Kyle Rittenhouse’s defense.

The department only found out because a hacker group released the information of the anonymous users.

A jury found Rittenhouse not guilty on all counts.

Kelly wants his job back.

Kelly told The Daily Mail he thought Rittenhouse was innocent based on videos. He also explained why he donated:

‘Everything I’m saying is just my personal opinion. I’ve been a homicide detective, a violent crimes investigator for years. I have a background. I watched the video of the shooting and I’d seen the video of the journalists of Mr. Rittenhouse before the shooting and the protesters before the shooting and I thought it painted a pretty clear picture that Mr. Rittenhouse had a very strong claim for self-defense.

He even donated anonymously. He should have never been fired. This is a travesty. And all he wants is his job back. He’s a good American. I would want to make them pay for what they did to me.

Oh look. It’s in Virginia. What a screwed up state. Governor-elect Youngkin has his work cut out for him.

This Is Fine. It’s What Federalism Is All About.

Local trumps state. State trumps nation. That’s how it is supposed to work.

Glenn Youngkin Won’t Ban Local COVID-19 Mandates | The Daily Wire

I’m sure that lots on the right are upset about this, but they shouldn’t be. Local municipalities should be able to decide for themselves what they want to do.

Virginia Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin (R) will not outlaw local COVID-19 mandates when he takes office in January.

While the governor-elect will be lifting some state-wide mandates when he gets into office, Youngkin clarified over the weekend that he would not stand in the way of local governments implementing their own COVID-19 restrictions.

“Localities are going to have to make decisions the way the law works and that is going to be up to individual decisions but, again, from the governor’s office, you won’t see mandates from me,” Youngkin told a local news outlet.

This is exactly right. If there’s a sudden outbreak in an area, and the people of that area think that a mask mandate will help them get through the outbreak, they should be allowed to do that, without getting interference from the Governor. I’m happy with this decision.

We Can Officially Stop Calling It ”Alleged” Now

Oh, and we’re back in Loudoun.

Loudoun County Student Won’t Contest Sexual Battery Charge (dailysignal.com)

Our transgender rapist is not disputing the facts of the case.

A juvenile court judge found the same male student guilty of sexually assaulting a different female student in an October case, Fox 5 DC reported. The “no contest” plea in this second case “means the boy is not admitting guilt, but he is not disputing the facts,” according to Fox.

So, we now know that he raped the girl in the girls bathroom. Good. Now we need to figure out what to do about it.

By the way, I am not insensitive to the plight of the people with gender dysphoria, or to the fully transgendered. I think we need to accept people for who they are and to make accommodations however we can.

I object to a person using that to be able to commit crimes. People like the rapist in this case are not helping the transgendered cause and shouldn’t be used as a martyr. I have my doubts as to his transgenderism. I think he just wore a skirt so he could get into the girls bathroom.

We should all be able to agree that this is a bad thing, regardless of our gender identities or our feelings on transgenderism.

Once Again We Return to Loudoun County

Man, this is one screwed up school district.

Virginia Judge Sides With Teacher Suspended After Opposing Loudoun Transgender Policy, Can’t Be Punished for Beliefs | The Daily Wire

He was suspended for voicing his opinion on a proposed policy at a school board meeting.

Umm..isn’t that the point of school board meetings? To provide input on proposals so that they can be improved or discarded?

A Virginia judge granted a permanent injunction protecting the speech rights of a Loudoun County teacher who was placed on leave last May following remarks at a school board meeting about a proposed transgender policy.

The ruling blocks the Loudoun County School Board from punishing Tanner Cross, a physical education teacher at Leesburg Elementary School, for his views about Policy 8040, which is the district’s transgender policy.

“Teachers shouldn’t be forced to promote ideologies that are harmful to their students and that they believe are false, and they certainly shouldn’t be silenced from commenting at public meetings,” said Tyson Langhofer, a lawyer with Alliance Defending Freedom who has been representing Cross.

“While we are very pleased that Tanner will be able to keep serving his students in light of this settlement, the concerns expressed in our ongoing lawsuit challenging the district’s policy remain,” he added.

Cross spoke up at a school board meeting in May, saying that he did not support Policy 8040, which was being considered at the time. Soon after the meeting, he was placed on administrative leave.

How did they think they could get away with this? This is a clear trampling of his First Amendment rights. It was at a school board meeting, not in class. He wasn’t out picketing in front of the school building. He didn’t even (as far as I can tell) say he would not adhere to the proposal if it passed. He said he shouldn’t have to, but didn’t say he wouldn’t.

This is tyranny. And we’re all just happy to go along.

And It’s Time to Go Back to Loudoun County

I haven’t posted about them in at least a day.

Loudoun County Supervisor Labels Protesting Parents ‘Alt-Right.’ Black, Jewish Parents Fire Back. | The Daily Wire

They really have forgotten the first rule of holes.

When you’re in one, stop digging.

A leftist member of the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors labeled parents who have banded together to protest the school districts’ attitude toward sexual assault and alleged support of the teaching of Critical Race Theory in schools “alt-right,” triggering harsh criticism from Jewish and black parents who are part of the protest movement.

Let’s just alienate everyone, shall we?

Elicia Brand, a Jewish Loudoun County mother who has volunteered with the group Fight for Schools, told Fox News, “As a Jewish American, I am completely offended.  I take that as a personal affront. … I support Ian Prior and everything that he is doing for the schools and the parents in every way.” Prior is the Executive Director of Fight for Schools.

Brand, who founded her own group Army of Parents to support Fight for Schools, added, “I know many people in the Fight for Schools organization and not one of them is alt-right, not one of them is far-right, not one of them is racist.” She slammed Briskman, asserting, “She is putting political ideology and the political agenda before the needs of the citizens of Loudoun County and she owes every one of us an apology.” She concluded, “To call us alt-right is a punch in the gut, a stab in the heart for all parents who fight for their children.”

And we call that a smackdown. Really the whole board and most of the administrators in this district need to resign. I’m tired of writing about them.

Loudoun County Parents Keep On Fighting

Loudoun County Parent Group Collects Signatures To Oust School Board Members | The Daily Wire

Parents in Loudoun County, Virginia, have collected the necessary signatures to begin the process of pushing several school board members out of their positions, as well as create a petition to expel chairwoman Brenda Sheridan from the school board.

The group is called “Fight For Schools,” and its executive director, Ian Prior, said the “chairwoman, Brenda Sheridan has overseen and personally contributed to a complete breakdown in trust between the community and the Loudoun County School Board. From violating open meetings law to ignoring the school board’s code of conduct to neglecting to keep our children safe, all for her activist causes, Sheridan has been nothing short of a disaster as the so-called leader of Loudoun County Public Schools.”

“Let this serve as a message to the rest of the board and Superintendent [Scott] Ziegler: if you thought that this was all about an election, then you have once more failed to properly judge the resolve of your constituents,” Prior added. “We’re still here and we’re not going anywhere.”

it’s a tough battle. You need just a few thousand signatures to start the process. That’s easy. Getting it done takes a long and sustained effort and a lot more backing than just a couple thousand people willing to sign a piece of paper.

I Know This Doesn’t Have Anything to Do With Education, but OMG

Can Loudoun county get any more screwed up?

112 Loudoun County Children Given Adult Doses of COVID Vaccine. Pharmacy Is Sorry for the 'Inconvenience' – PJ Media

Loudoun County, Va., is in the news again, but this time it’s not about raucous school board meetings or parents being branded terrorists. According to Washington News4, 112 young children were given the wrong dosage of the COVID-19 vaccine—one meant for adults—at a Ted Pharmacy in Aldie.

Dasha Hermosilla told News4 that her 7-year-old daughter was given a dose of the vaccine meant for those 12 and older.

The Loudon County Health Department’s “clinical guidance” document notes that the 0.3 ml dosage that the children were given “is authorized for individuals 12 years and older only” and the approved dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for children 5-11 is 0.2 ml.

Before you go thinking that it’s just an increase from 0.2 to 0.3, no big deal, remember that’s a 50% increase. If I were a parent here, I’d be screaming for someone’s head. Delivered to me on a silver platter.

All White People Are Racist All the Time

Voting for Black People Is Racist If They're Republicans - by Jim Treacher - Who the Hell Is Jim Treacher? (substack.com)

Extensive quoting from the linked article. Apologies:

If you’re a white person in America, that means you’re a racist. We all know this by now. And because you’re white, and therefore a racist by birth, that means every single thing you do and say is racist.

For eight years, it was racist to ever disagree with the president of the United States because his father was black. For four subsequent years, it was racist to ever agree with the president of the United States because he defeated a white woman. (It gets complicated. Just roll with it.) Every single bad thing that happens in America is due to racism. If you question this article of leftist faith, you are, of course, a racist.

But don’t think that electing a black person to public office lets you off the hook. Oh no. Just because rock-ribbed conservative Winsome Sears is the new Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, replacing a black man who is credibly accused of sexual assault, that doesn’t mean you’re not still a racist.

Read it and weep, racist.

Fivethirtyeight is here to remind us why we’re racist, even when we think we’re not.

#FacePalm

I can’t believe this is serious journalism. It would have been in The Onion back when it was funny. Today, it would be in The Babylon Bee. But no, it’s real.

This Principal Would Get Two Upraised Middle Fingers From Me, and Then I Would Call the News

Principal Told Mom That Parents Aren’t Allowed in District’s Libraries (dailysignal.com)

Langton previously spoke out at a Sept. 23 Fairfax County Public Schools school board meeting, where she went viral for her calling out the contents of  “Lawn Boy” by Jonathan Evison and “Gender Queer” by Maia Kobabe, which she said contained child pornography and pedophilia available to young teenagers in the district’s libraries.

On Nov. 3, she missed a call from the school’s principal, Maureen Keck, who called her again the next day. Keck said it had been brought to her attention that Langton was on campus on Oct. 27 and had checked out “All Boys Aren’t Blue,” which the principal claimed was against the rules, Langton told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

In the school’s defense, the headline of the article is misleading. They didn’t apparently say she wasn’t allowed in the library, merely that she wasn’t allowed to checkout books. But I think the headline is “fake, but accurate”. That is the sense that I get from the school. They didn’t want her there inventorying their selection of books.

Like I said, two upraised middle fingers from me.

More Racism in Virginia Schools

I hope Governor-elect Youngkin (R-VA) comes in and takes and axe to this sort of thing. I want to see liberal heads explode.

Parents Express Outrage At Alexandria Schools Peddling Racism (thefederalist.com)

They keep telling us that CRT isn’t taught.

Ummm…

One page on the school website, “Talking to Your Children About Racial Justice,” encourages parents to “let go of colorblindness” and “ensure your kids are aware of race.” Among other things, it promotes a Forbes article that suggests understanding “our country’s deeply rooted racism” with resources such as:

  • a Medium article encouraging readers to donate to their local Black Lives Matter chapter, ask their representatives to decriminalize marijuana, ask their representatives to ban voter ID laws, join their local “white space,” and ask their high school to teach a mandatory class on white privilege,
  • an article titled “White People Have No Culture,”
  • an article titled “Food Has Always Been Political,”
  • “Black Marxism: The Making of Black Radical Tradition” by Cedric Robinson,
  • “The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution,” a documentary about the militant Black Panthers group,
  • and the American Civil Liberties Union website.

Another ACPS page, simply titled “Teaching Racial Justice,” promotes “How To Be An Antiracist” by Ibram X. Kendi, in which Kendi argues, “The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.” The page also declares, “Racism against the Asian-American community is deeply ingrained in the fabric of our country.” Other resources it promotes include “White Fragility” by Robin DiAngelo, “White Rage” by Carol Anderson, “White Teachers Need Anti-Racist Therapy” by Bettina Love, and “Why Teaching Grit Is Inherently Anti-Black” by Bettina Love.

Liar, liar, pants on fire.

And, by the way, ugh! These people need to have restraining orders to keep them away from children and from education.

It’s the Education, Stupid

And parents are mad about it. We see how much our children are suffering. And we see how our education system has failed them, continues to fail them, and seems totally indifferent to the problems we see.

WATCH: Non-Republican Suburban Moms Reveal Why They Voted For Youngkin Over McAuliffe | The Daily Wire

Highlights of what the moms told CNN included:

  • KAY GREENWELL: “Well, parents were very angry during school closures at the teachers’ unions. And for me the nail in the coffin was on [McAuliffe’s] last day of campaigning. He brought the head of the teachers’ union to his rally and she spoke and it was like someone just poked me right in the eye and said, you think you want to have a say in your education, well, you’re not going to.”
  • SHAWNNA YASHAR: “We think our kids are in crisis. The learning loss is real. So we’re in a situation where our kids are really far behind and they need a lot of help. They need a lot of additional tutoring. They need a lot of additional time after school to help catch them up and they’re still not focusing on that. It’s like a situation where you’re in front of your house and the driveway is really dirty, but the house is also on fire and you’re using the hose to hose off the driveway instead of putting out the fire on the house.”
  • DANA JACKSON: “I felt like it was really tone-deaf to just discount parents and the whole educational struggle and to make it about Trump all of the time. I mean, there’s a place for that but [McAuliffe] never really talked about what he was going to do to improve things. He just talked about how bad everyone else was and that was a real turnoff, especially, leaving our kids in the dust.”

Yep. That about sums it up.

And This Is Why Elections Matter

Can you see this happening in a Terry McAuliffe administration? Me neither.

Virginia Attorney General-Elect to Investigate Sexual Assaults in Loudoun (dailysignal.com)

Miyares also said he plans to push for legislation, which was discussed on the campaign trail, that allows his office to take over when chief law enforcement officers think the state’s prosecutors are not sufficiently doing their job.

Miyares added his support for “a bill that would essentially say if the chief law enforcement officer in a jurisdiction, either the chief of police or the sheriff, makes a request, because the commonwealth’s attorney is not doing their job, then I’m going to do their job for them.”

More, he clarified that he is thinking “specifically” about “some of the so-called social justice commonwealth attorneys” who have been elected “particularly in Northern Virginia.”

Miyares said Virginia has seen some “pretty horrific cases” that have been made public where state prosecutors have failed to do their job. He said that he wants to bring victims back to the forefront of the process based on his own experience as a prosecutor.

Nice. I think it also means that I’ll have more to blog about in Loudoun county.

Well, That’s Certainly One Take

AOC Says McAuliffe Lost Because He Was...Too Moderate – PJ Media

Sure. Let’s go with that.

With a straight face, the erudite Congresswoman explained: “I know that Virginia was a huge bummer. And honestly, if anything, I think that the results show the limits of trying to run a fully 100% super-moderated campaign that does not excite, speak to, or energize a progressive base. And frankly, we weren’t even really invited to contribute on that race.”

Wait a minute. If McAuliffe didn’t “speak to or energize a progressive base,” it certainly wasn’t for want of trying. He called for teachers to be hired not on merit, but to satisfy the requirements of “diversity.” As parents in Virginia and elsewhere are rightfully outraged over Critical Race Theory and all of today’s fashionable sexual madness being taught in public schools, McAuliffe argued against a parental role in education and declared that only “experts,” not parents, should approve textbooks. McAuliffe claimed last Sunday that Youngkin was “ending his campaign on a racist dog whistle.” Meanwhile, his supporters worked hard to smear supporters of his opponent Glenn Youngkin as white supremacists.

Yeah, that was the problem. They needed to move farther left.

I’ll agree that McAuliffe isn’t as far left as AOC, but the backlash from the voters was because they didn’t like the direction, not because you didn’t go far enough.

I hope she can convince more people of this though. If so, the Left will keep losing elections.

Stick to sports, Jemele. You’re slightly less annoying there.

She’s a Democrat From Hawaii and Constantly Attacks the Left

I still don’t get Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI). Is she going to switch parties? Is she angling for a job somewhere? What’s her end game. I know she has one. She’s very smart.

Tulsi Gabbard Cheers McAuliffe Loss in Virginia: ‘A Victory For All Americans’ | The Daily Wire

In the aftermath of the victory of GOP gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin in Virginia over Democratic candidate Terry McAuliffe, former Democrat congresswoman and presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard cheered the results, tweeting, “McAuliffe’s loss is a victory for all Americans. Why? Because it was a resounding rejection of efforts to divide us by race, the stripping of parental rights, and arrogant, deaf leaders. This benefits us all.”

I agree with her 100%, but this is something no other Democrat would dare to say. Or even think.

What’s she up to?

Pardon me for being suspicious. I am not generally so by nature, and am always happy to welcome people to the cause. But as far as I know she has not renounced her Party. Until she does, I assume she has some sort of plan. Surely she doesn’t think she can change the Democratic Party and get it to move to the center? Because that ship has sailed.

I want to trust her. She seems great. I just don’t know her plan, and that keeps me cautious.

Many Trumpists Don’t Like Nikki Haley Anymore Because They Feel She Didn’t Stand By Him After the Election

I say give her a break. Trump put people in a bad spot there. He went too far without solid proof. He may have been right, but he made himself look crazy. No one wants to be caught agreeing with The Crazy man. Haley did what she had to do. From my standpoint the 2024 GOP Primary is a two person race. Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis. I’ll support whoever wins, but they’re probably the only two I would support enthusiastically.

‘Don’t Mess With Our Kids’: Nikki Haley Hails Republicans' Election Wins (dailysignal.com)

Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley celebrated Republican electoral victories in Virginia on Wednesday, cautioning the GOP not to become arrogant, but rather to focus on the tasks at hand.

“This is parents’ way of telling government: Don’t mess with our kids,” Haley said Wednesday at The Heritage Foundation as she delivered the annual Margaret Thatcher Freedom Lecture. “It is people who are done with all the culture wars, and see the ridiculousness of it.”

She’s using a populist message here, and one that has the bonus of being right. And Right. She can be formidable in 2024, but can also flame out. We shall see. Predicting the primary season is about as safe as predicting the lottery.

You Want Proof They Hate You?

Here it is.

Former Governor Terry McAuliffe’s Social Media Manager:

He promoted the hoax before the election also:

He lied to try to steal an election, then told you what he thought of you when it didn’t work.

This is what the left is. Learn from this. Don’t vote for them. Ever.

Virginia Republicans recapture House of Delegates - Washington Times

Youngkin has coat tails!

Republicans recaptured control of the Virginia House of Delegates late Tuesday night after Republican Kim Taylor, a political newcomer, narrowly defeated Democrat Del. Lashrecse Aird, adding to the GOP election sweep of the commonwealth that evening.

The GOP win of the lower chamber in Virginia’s General Assembly came just after Republican Glenn Youngkin won the governor’s election against Democrat Terry McAuliffe, who was aiming to win a second non-consecutive four-year term in the governor’s mansion. Democrats still retain a slight edge in the state Senate, which was not on the ballot this year.

Wow. I wonder what the betting odds were on that before the election.
