This is a statement I have made repeatedly since this blog started and I stand by it.
There are no good ethical reasons to oppose voter ID laws.
Period.
Therefore, if you oppose them the only reasons can be that you’re stupid, or that you’re unethical.
I don’t usually choose. I let the evidence speak for itself.
However, on to Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT-04) words on this topic:
“I used my I.D. to drive a car, to get a job, to board a plane, pick up prescriptions, and virtually everything else in life … So tell me again, why is showing an I.D. ‘Voter suppression’?”
Well, when you’re right, you’re right.
