Some of this is typical. White House administrations always want to shape the message their way, and work with the press to make sure that their message is heard.

This is typically met with a healthy degree of skepticism by the press. Everyone knows the way the game is played, including the press.

But in this case, the press appears more willing than is typical to go along with the White House.

The officials have been discussing with newsrooms trends pertaining to job creation, economic growth, supply chains, and more. The basic argument that has been made: That the country’s economy is in much better shape than it was last year. I’m told the conversations have been productive, with anchors and reporters and producers getting to talk with the officials…

This is different. This isn’t “Hey, you guys are printing the wrong thing. Here’s the truth.” It’s, “Hey, we need you guys to print things this way, so everyone will believe that we’re doing a good job.”

Imagine a Kwanzaa parade going on.

A man in an SUV drives through the parade, killing several, injuring dozens.

Moreover, the man has the following characteristics:

• He’s white
• He’s a Trump supporter
• He’s anti-BLM and vocal about it
• He’s associated with white supremacists

How do you think the media would treat such an event?

They would be literally foaming at the mouth. We’d have non-stop coverage of this. It wouldn’t go away for weeks. It’d be front page news every day. It’d be practically the only thing talked about on cable news.

Now, let’s return to reality.

So one Darrell E. Brooks apparently drove his SUV into a Waukesha, WI Christmas fair crowd,killing five and wounding many others.

The MSM agitprop “journalists” would have had a field day if he were a “white supremacist” or merely a Trump supporter. Alas for them:

• Rapped under the moniker “Mathboi Fly” with Trump-bashing lyrics
• Vocal BLM supporter
• Parroted black supremacist claptrap, including the idea that white Jews are imposters and black people are the real Jews (which he attributes with approval to none other than Adolf H. [y”sh])

But this story has already practically disappeared, and has been minimized from the very beginning.

Media bias 101. If it doesn’t support the narrative, or can’t be twisted to support the narrative, it must be dismissed.

On Wednesday night, The Washington Post, referring to the attack on the Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in which at least six people were killed and scores of others were injured, tweeted, “Here’s what we know so far on the sequence of events that led to the Waukesha tragedy caused by a SUV.”

It wasn’t just the tweet; in the article describing the attack, the Post wrote:

A quarter-mile from the rotary building, at 4:39 p.m., an officer told a dispatcher a maroon Ford Escape “just blew by [him]” at White Rock and Hartwell avenues, the intersection where barricades blocking traffic to the parade were removed just a minute before, according to police audio and time codes provided by Broadcastify. A few moments later, the SUV rammed through the parade participants, killing five and injuring more than 40 people, including children.

Heh. They deleted the Tweet.

But no mention of the driver or his motives. It was just the SUV.

The Media Wants to Make Sure That You Never Think of This as a Domestic Terror Incident

This is a “crash” not an attack. It was just an accident.

Don’t watch the videos if you believe that. Or maybe you should.

After the horrific brutality in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in which a man rammed his SUV into marchers in a Christmas parade, causing the deaths of at least six people, including a small child and injuries to scores of others, many media outlets eschewed calling what happened an attack, instead using terms such as “parade crash,” or “parade tragedy,” unlike their coverage of the car-ramming at the 2017 Charlottesville rally which they commonly referred to as an “attack.”

Of Waukesha, the Associated Press titled an article, “Child is 6th death in Waukesha parade crash; suspect charged.”

As recently as November 8, the Associated Press referred to the 2017 Charlottesville occurrence when a man rammed his car into what AP called a peaceful group of protesters, killing one woman and dozens of others injured, as a “car attack,” using the title “Woman recalls total ‘terror’ of Charlottesville car attack.”

On Tuesday, CBS News called the Waukesha car-ramming a “deadly Christmas parade crash.”

This is all deliberate. These people are advanced word smiths. Choices like these are rarely random or accidental. They don’t want you to think of it as an attack. If you do, then you’ll start thinking about motive, and they really don’t want you to do that.

Let’s Be Clear: This Is an Idiotic Meme

1. The implication that Kyle committed a crime by crossing state lines. In America, we citizens can freely cross state lines. There is no penalty in America for doing so. It’s part of our constitutional system. When I left California for the Southeast, I did not have to report myself to the local police station. And of course, the whole “crossed state lines” mantra is ludicrous coming from the party that disavows national borders.

2. The “illegally” acquired gun. The reason the judge dropped the gun charge against Rittenhouse is that the rifle was neither illegally-acquired nor was Rittenhouse underage. The rules are different for long guns, and the measuring tape established that, when Rittenhouse entered Wisconsin (a mere 20 minutes from his home), and his friend loaned him the rifle, neither broke the law.

3. The “assault rife.” There is no such thing as an “assault rifle.” The “AR” in the name comes from the 15th model that Armalite Rifle manufactured in the 1950s. It’s now the industry standard.

4. “Attended a MAGA rally.” Nothing that happened in Kenosha was comparable to a MAGA rally. No MAGA rally has ever involved burning a whole city down. People are cheerful, behave well, and clean up after themselves.

5. “Picked a fight.” Kyle did not “pick a fight.” The undisputed evidence at the trial, from the prosecution’s own witnesses and video footage, showed that Rittenhouse offered first aid, shied away from any conflict, ran as fast as he could away from Rosenbaum’s intended assault, and was also trying desperately to run away from Huber’s and Grosskreutz’s assaults.

6. Racism! And of course, the implication that this is about race is wrong, too. Not only is Kyle White, so are/were the people he shot.

Ok, it’s worth pointing out that it would be hard to be more left than McGowan. But like Jo Rowling, she’s also a feminist. She pretty much led the #MeToo movement, and has done more to expose sexual injustice against women than just about anybody.

Yes, she’s allowed her liberalism and feminism to lead her down the wrong path sometimes, but that’s not the point. The point is that she is laser-focused on women and sexual abuse.

And, as such, she sees a problem with all the Rittenhouse coverage. Why, you ask, since there’s nothing sexual about that at all. Well, that’s it exactly.

Again, the left would love to talk about anything else, and that’s a perfect topic for them, because it allows them to rile up the base some more.

McGowan may have a point. I will try to keep some focus on Maxwell though and let you know what is happening there.

The sad thing is that it was easy to make this mistake. The media has repeatedly told you that Kyle Rittenhouse is a white supremacist, and has done everything to imply that his actions were racially motivated.

So, one not closely following the case would likely think that Kyle’s attackers were black.

WaPo Issues Major Corrections To Reports On Steele Dossier | The Daily Wire

The Post rewrote parts of stories published in March 2017 and February 2019, removing claims in the stories that the Steele dossier’s “Source D,” who is responsible for some of the most salacious and outrageous claims in the document, is Belarusian American businessman Sergei Millian.

“The newspaper’s executive editor, Sally Buzbee, said The Post could no longer stand by the accuracy of those elements of the story,” the Washington Post reported, in a separate story on the changes it made. “The story’s headline was amended, sections identifying Millian as the source were removed, and an accompanying video summarizing the article was eliminated. An editor’s note explaining the changes was added. Other stories that made the same assertion were corrected as well.”

“The Post’s decision to edit and repost the Millian stories is highly unusual in the news industry,” the Post added.

Durham’s indictments have made these stories unsupportable. But don’t worry. They’ll stick with them as long as they can. And it doesn’t matter now, anyway. The stories accomplished their purpose, which was to hinder and weaken President Donald Trump (R-USA). And the corrections won’t get much publicity. People will continue to think that Trump colluded with the Russians.

The media lost their collective mind of a completely innocuous joke the judge overseeing the Kyle Rittenhouse case made about lunch coming late to the courthouse on Thursday.

“I hope the Asian food isn’t coming … isn’t on one of those boats from Long Beach Harbor,” Judge Bruce Schroeder said.

The joke could not be more harmless. All Judge Schroeder did was joke that the food, hopefully not, but possibly being held up by a supply chain delay. He also described the food the court ordered as “Asian.” One would assume that was because the food they ordered was, uh, Asian.

Seems pretty innocent. But not to our media.

NBC News dialed up the drama, too, running this headline: “Judge in Kyle Rittenhouse trial faces backlash for Asian food joke.”

USAToday ran with this gem: “‘How not to be a good judge’: Kyle Rittenhouse judge draws new backlash with ‘Asian food’ joke.”

The Independent claimed the joke was off-color: “Kyle Rittenhouse trial: Judge’s off-colour ‘Asian food’ joke draws more scrutiny onto courtroom comments.”

Uh huh. Pretty sure it was a joke about the supply chain issues, not about Asians. How could you possibly misread that? You’re so anxious to be offended by something that you’ve completely turned off your brains. You’d have to be a complete idiot to take offense at this. Or crazed. Or both.

Either way, you’ve lost it. And when it’s lost, all that’s left is a loser.

Not because of what they said, but because of their attitudes to the American people. They can’t possibly be effective in their jobs if they have this sort of disdain for every day Americans.

But no, I don’t think they should be fired. Keep them around so they can continue to remind us what the left and the media think of the rest of us.

I can’t repeat this often enough. Hillary’s “basket full of deplorables” comment was representative of what she really thinks. Of what they all think. It was only a slip in that it was never supposed to be made public.

According to the IBD/TIPP pollster, their alternative media counterparts are not doing much, if at all better in the trust department, which dovetails neatly with a recent Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism paper that said the US was the lowest ranked country when it comes to the number of those who trust most news most of the time – only 29%.

If I worked in this industry, I would be doing whatever possible to regain trust. I’d be more careful about not rushing to judgment. I’d produce objective pieces. And I’d work to eliminate my personal biases from stories wherever possible.

The media seems to be doing the opposite of that. Frankly, i expect these numbers to continue to decline.

Give credit to Gupta. He came on Rogan’s show and he had to know he was going to be attacked. He sat there and took it, and even agreed that his network did not cover themselves with glory for telling people that he was taking “horse de-wormer” for his China virus infection.

Gupta can’t defend it. He knows it’s wrong, but can’t quite bite the hand that feeds him. Still, he’s obviously uncomfortable, and he should be. His employer lied. That’s bad for any employer, but his employer is a new organization. if they feel like they can lie about something like this, what else might they be tempted to lie to us about?

How can anyone trust CNN?

Answer? You shouldn’t. You’re being foolish if you do.

They don’t want people from out of state to vote. They don’t want people to vote in multiple districts. And they don’t want people to vote twice in the same district. To the Democrats, this is ‘voter suppression”. To Republicans this is “election integrity”.

You choose which side you want to be on. Only one side is for freedom and fair elections, though.

WASHINGTON (AP) — In the frantic bid to avert a default on the nation’s debt, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell held a position of unusual power — as the one who orchestrated both the problem and the solution.

McConnell is no longer the majority leader, but he is exerting his minority status in convoluted and uncharted ways, all in an effort to stop President Joe Biden’s domestic agenda and even if doing so pushes the country toward grave economic uncertainty.

All said, the outcome of this debt crisis leaves zero confidence there won’t be a next one. In fact, McConnell engineered an end to the standoff that ensures Congress will be in the same spot in December when funding to pay America’s bills next runs out. That means another potentially devastating debt showdown, all as the COVID-19 crisis lingers and the economy struggles to recover.

Notice how the AP does this. The Democrats control the White House, and both Chambers of Congress. They can’t get the debt ceiling raised, and it’s not the fault of any Democrats, but instead the fault of one man, a Republican, Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY). This is nonsense.

Whenever you read or hear about Republicans “seizing” or “pouncing”, you know that the Democrats have screwed up, and the media is trying to distract you from it by talking about what the Republicans are doing.

WaPo Published a Column from Hugh Hewitt and the Left Had a Complete Meltdown (townhall.com)

It wasn’t even that provocative of a column. Hugh Hewitt is pretty mild-mannered. He’s not a fire-breather by any means. He wrote an opinion article that said basically that Dr. Fauci had become very divisive and wondered if that meant it was time for him to go.

He didn’t say it was time for Fauci to go because he was wrong about everything. He merely pointed out that Fauci has very passionate attackers and very passionate followers. And for an unelected public servant whose role is to set public policy, such passions might make it difficult for him to be effective.

It’s an interesting point. I doubt it will sway anyone’s opinion, most importantly Dr. Fauci, whom he did interview for the column.

But of course, the left went crazy, because their supposedly objective newspaper published a column by a journalist who is right of center.

BTW, someone should tell these people going berserk about this, that it kind of proves the point about “objectivity” at The Washington Post. They wouldn’t be in such an uproar if the paper commonly presented both sides of an argument. They’re used to only seeing things from the left, and that’s all they want to see.

This asinine notion immediately rocketed around the political sphere. White House press secretary Jen Psaki explained, “The reconciliation package will cost zero dollars.” Rep.
