Psaki On Whether Biden Will Ever Apologize To Kyle Rittenhouse: It’s Trump’s Fault | The Daily Wire
“Would the President ever apologize to the acquitted Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse for suggesting online and on TV, that he is a white supremacist?” a reporter asked.
“Well, let’s be clear what we’re talking about here. This is about a campaign video released last year that used President Trump’s own words during a debate, as he refused to condemn white supremacists and militia groups
Yes, let’s be clear here. The campaign video showed Kyle Rittenhouse and said that Trump refused to condemn white supremacists.
The reporter then brought up an interview that Biden gave with CNN in 2020 where Biden said:
I don’t know enough to know whether that 17-year-old kid, exactly what he did, but allegedly he’s part of a militia coming out of the state of Illinois. Have you ever heard this president say one negative thing about white supremacists? Have you ever heard it? That’s the reason I got back in this race because what happened in Charlottesville
This lie has been debunked so many times.
And the Charlottesville claim is a lie compounded on a lie.
Trump Didn't Call Neo-Nazis 'Fine People.' Here's Proof. | RealClearPolitics
Here are the unambiguous actual words of President Trump:
“Excuse me, they didn’t put themselves down as neo-Nazis, and you had some very bad people in that group. But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides. You had people in that group – excuse me, excuse me, I saw the same pictures you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name.”
After another question at that press conference, Trump became even more explicit:
“I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and white nationalists because they should be condemned totally.”
